Private beach house overlooking Englishman Bay

Welcome to Seasalt Cottage – located just steps from your private beach. This sprawling contemporary home is smartly laid out with excellent entertaining and social space while also providing quite bedroom zones away from it all. The kitchen is well stocked for your cooking creativity with a 48 inch Wolf range that features two ovens and a large skillet. There is also a 4-burner bbq grill out on the deck. The primary suite features a walk-in rain shower, walk-in closet and a large private deck to enjoy the view and listen to the crashing waves.

Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Machias where you will find restaurants, grocery stores, farmer markets and fresh seafood everywhere you go. Also about 1 mile from the property is Roque Bluffs beach and state park. Here there are over 6 miles of beautiful trails, gorgeous sandy beach and a fresh water pond.

Seasalt is your perfect launch point to explore the Bold Coast, it's beautiful scenery, coastal hiking, bird watching and stargazing. Nearby Attractions:
- Roque Bluff State Park Beach and Trails: 1 -mile, 3 minutes
- Jasper Beach is Machiasport: 12 miles 20 minutes
- Great Wass Island Preserve: 25 miles, 40 minutes

Beautiful house right on the beach in quiet neighborhood. Spacious rooms with lots of windows with spectacular views. Great kitchen, fully stocked with everything we needed, including lobster pots. Very clean and comfortable. The hosts were awesome and very good at answering all questions! We will definitely stay here again when we can get the family all together again!

What a great stay!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beachfront property! The location was perfect, offering stunning ocean views and private beach. The house itself was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. We especially loved the large deck where we could relax and enjoy the sunsets. The host was incredibly responsive and provided us with all the information we needed for a seamless stay. We can't wait to return to this little slice of paradise! Highly recommend!

Quiet Location with Beautiful Views

Beautiful, well equipped property on the water. Enjoyed watching the incoming and outgoing of the tides, the lobster boats, sunrises, sunsets and everything about the house. The owners were very helpful and very responsive to the couple inquiries we had. Location was perfect for all we planned to do from Lubec to Bar Harbor. Everything had an awesome vacation!!

Peaceful oasis

Our family was looking to unwind after a stressful year, if you are looking for peace this is the place! Seasalt cottage had everything you could ask for beautiful clean house. Caring Hosts! Any questions or if you needed anything Christina had the answers. Beds were comfortable, rooms a good size. Big kitchen and plenty of cooking was done on the beautiful stove. Views amazing, lots of deer around.

My wife and I along with our Adult children and our grandchildren stayed for a week. Christina, the owner was always available to answer questions and had we needed something I have no doubt she would have accommodated. The house was very clean and very well stocked with every detail thought of. The master bedroom suite with its walk in shower is a big part of this property. Roque Bluffs is very beautiful and you can walk to the Roque Bluffs State Park from there. The walk is very peaceful as well. I highly recommend this property!

Roque Bluffs stay extraordinaire!

This property is a great place to get away and enjoy Englishmens Bay. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is spectacular. The sounds of the ocean are a constant and lull you to sleep at night. The house was clean and well appointed and I had a terrific time cooking on the Wolf stove. We found a great spot to launch our kayaks from and went on some great hikes in the surrounding area. Machias is close and offers some nice options for eating out and grocery shopping. I honestly can say it's one of the best places I've ever rented. 5++ stars. Dan and Christina were wonderful hosts and stayed in touch with me during the stay, oftentimes providing suggestions of things to do. I definitely would go back in a heartbeat.

Absolutely magical

This property and house are stunning. There are of course other beautiful places to see on the coast of Maine but we kept saying that our favorite view of all was the one right outside this rental. On top of the wonderful location, the house was spotless and well-equipped. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact when a small problem arose. Definitely bring water shoes so you can go out to enjoy the sand at low tide! Also, get blueberry pie at Helen's and drive up to Lubec. I just wish Maine was closer, so we could come back more often! Our family (including our three small children) will always treasure the memories of this vacation.

Beautiful House and View

I absolutely recommend this house. The view alone is worth it. The neighborhood is very quiet. The inside of the house is beautiful with plenty of room for our family of eight. Everything was very clean. The massive stove with the griddle was amazing for cooking breakfast. The overall attention to detail was impressive. There were signs throughout the house with instructions and helpful tips. It made things really easy so we didn't have to bother the owners with questions. Also, this house was stocked with everything you could possibly have needed. Dan and Christina are the best! They messaged us leading up to our arrival and while we were there, just to make sure everything was going well. My family and I agree that our favorite part of our vacation was our time spent in this lovely home. My 3 year old niece was sad to leave her "holiday house." Thanks for a wonderful family vacation!

Relaxing getaway

This property is in a very remote and beautiful location right on the coast of Maine. It took a full day for us to get to the property from Colorado, but it was worth the trip, our stay was relaxing and we were able to go hiking and sight seeing in the area, as well as see family. The house was very clean when we checked in, the owners are friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful home in picturesque setting offering solitude and sanctuary

This beautiful home sits atop a small bluff overlooking Englishman Bay. The well-appointed home capitalizes on the breathtaking views with panoramic windows throughout the home. Our three generations of family soaked up every minute of being together. The secluded location is rich with wildlife and hiking opportunities. We saw many deer daily parade through the yard and surrounding area. At low tide, we saw several seals on outlying rocky islands and plenty of shorebirds and other songbirds. The closest town, Machias, approximately 10 minutes away, had plenty of conveniences with terrific restaurants and an excellent Hannaford Supermarket, while still retaining a very small town feel. The stone and sand beach in front of the cottage, with its gentle rolling waves, was the perfect beginning and end to each day. We wish we could bottle the lull of the tide rolling in and rolling out to play back at home. Pure music made only by Mother Nature. This was the perfect retreat to nourish our souls! Christina and Dan, the owners of this beautiful home, could not have been more gracious and accommodating hosts. We would not hesitate to rent again!

Property that beats all others!!

Upon coming across the listing for this property we knew it was going to be great! We were not disappointed! The home is absolutely the best place we have stayed in bar none. The level of details and love for the home are in every part of the stay , from the well equipped kitchen to the breathtaking views and even down to the black make up towels on bathroom sinks. These hosts thought of it all. We had a fantastic time and will be back for sure!!!!

We are excited to help people feel at home at Seasalt Cottage.

We are passionate about all things travel related and we love a good adventure. Out of all the places we have traveled, when we are in need of true relaxation, we head to the Maine Coast. We started mapping out our next big adventure for 2022, and instead of booking another trip, we decided to purchase Seasalt Cottage so we could have more time exploring and enjoying the Bold Coast.

Our full time jobs as realtors have us living and working in New Hampshire, but oftentimes we’ll be onsite staying at the carriage house and available for any questions guests may have. When not in Roque Bluffs, we are just a phone call or text away!
