We’re genuinely sorry the gas issue interrupted part of your stay — that is never the experience we want any guest to have. The moment the leak was reported, we immediately contacted Black Hills Energy and a licensed plumber. Both were dispatched the same day. We coordinated everything remotely: unlocking and locking the property as needed, granting access to the exterior and interior gas lines, and remaining in constant contact with the technicians until the repairs were completed and the gas was safely restored. The only requirement on your end was to be present for the utility company’s standard safety protocols when they arrived to shut off and later restore service — something that is unavoidable with any gas-related work for safety and regulatory reasons. There was nothing further you needed to manage or arrange. We understand that losing use of the stove for a short period and needing to remain on-site for the technicians was inconvenient, especially while on vacation. Property systems can occasionally experience unexpected issues despite regular maintenance, and this was simply unfortunate timing during your stay. We responded as quickly and thoroughly as possible under the circumstances, and the problem was fully resolved without further disruption. While we were not able to offer a refund or compensation for the inconvenience, we hope the rapid response and successful resolution demonstrate the seriousness with which we treat guest safety and comfort.

When our cleaning staff came to refit the home, they mentioned that you did not extend the bottom of the bed out. There are two handles that were tucked under the cushion. A gentle tug pulls it out and the bottom of the bed - another two to three feet of bed - springs up into perfect alignment with the upper portion that folds down flat. We apologize for not mentioning this. We will correct this listing flaw with updated photos of the new sofa bed and also of the refreshments bowl while we’re at it.
