Welcome to the Guest Retreat at Gathering Grains Farm! Overlooking a beautiful treed pasture, this guest house is designed with restoration and retreat from the hectic pace in mind. An inviting one-bedroom fully furnished space that sleeps 2-4 people. A fresh loaf of delicious bread is sure to make you smile!

Equipped with all the essentials for a restful getaway from the hectic bustle of life, you will enjoy the spacious bedroom with king size bed appointed with linen bedding, gorgeous bathroom, and comfortable family room that adjoins a full kitchen. It all invites you to return again and again.

Write poetry from your comfy chair overlooking the open meadow, enjoy the peaceful setting on the front patio with your morning coffee, grill out in the evening, and enjoy your favorite movies from a Smart TV. Wi-Fi is available for your use so that you can stream from your entertainment provider. This private guesthouse allows you the opportunity to completely unwind and unplug.

The guest retreat is an ideal setting for a weekend getaway, a honeymoon or anniversary stay, or a place for the gals to stay on their Round Top excursions. The spacious bedroom has a king size bed, the little sleeping room has a twin size cot, and the family room sleeps 2 on a pull-out sofa (queen). The space can accommodate up to 4 guests, 13 years and older.

Located just minutes to downtown Brenham and other Washington County tourist destinations, up the road from Pleasant Hill Winery, and a scenic 20 minute drive to Round Top.

This was the PERFECT little weekend get away to celebrate our anniversary! The spot was absolutely beautiful- both inside & out! It was out of town enough for us to enjoy the country feel but close enough to grab dinner or stop by the grocery store! Definitely recommend!!

Anniversary Getaway

We were looking for a quiet retreat to get away and enjoy the nearby shopping and Milk and Honey Ranch. The accommodations were more lovely and thoughtful than the pictures show. Attention to detail- like fresh bread and jam, a hand written ā€œHappy Anniversaryā€ card, cold water in the fridge, and chocolates made the stay that much more special! The cottage is incredibly clean, modern, and cozy. We walked the pristine property and enjoyed coffee on the back porch area. Even the streaming services were easy to acess( we didnā€™t have to worry about logging into our accounts and all of that).The owner was super kind, accessible, and easy to work with. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

perfect place to end our busy days!

We stayed here while visiting and shopping Round Top market. It was the perfect place to come back to after spending long hours on our feet in the heat. The back patio was a lovely place to relax. The entire property is so peaceful and lovely. It may be a little out of the way but it's worth it!It was clean, the bed was super comfy, and best of all we were welcomed with the most delicious loaf of sourdough bread! Highly recommend staying here.

Amazing Stay

Amazing stay at Gathering Grains Farm. We have been to Brenham many times to attend the Antique Shows and have had to stay in the local hotels. Never again as long as Gathering Grains Farm is available. The ā€œbarnā€ guest suite is exceptional. It is clear that the owners want their guests to feel at home as attention has been given to every detail - even down to a loaf of homemade sourdough bread for a guest treat! The grounds surrounding the barn are quiet and peaceful with lovely country views even though very close to town. After shopping all day it was the absolute best place to ā€œcome homeā€.

Great house

The house was a one bedroom one bath. But the bedroom was a huge room with a king size bed. The living room had a fold out couch. And there was a small room off of the kitchen with a twin bed in it. The bathroom was huge and had a very nice shower. It was so nice. We thought it had just been built. But the guest book went back several years. The property was breathtaking. Very well maintained inside and out. We spent most of our time shopping so didnā€™t stay at the house long, but it was very, very nice. we would definitely stay there again.

Perfect lodging for sisterā€™s birthday weekend. Tickets to Unity Theatre in Brenham - property was so beautiful it was hard to leave. The gorgeous loaf of sourdough was so welcoming!

Rest, renew, refresh

Ok, so I stole the title from the owners, but it accurately sums up our experience at this lovely place. It was spotless, every detail of the decor and space was thoughtful and intentional, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The view is beautiful and the house is quiet. The freshly baked sourdough loaf awaiting us when we arrived was delicious. Thank you, Rich and Dianne, for your hospitality! Canā€™t wait to come again.

Absolutely lovely view as soon as you arrive. Sweet little apartment in a barn with incredible views. Nice big shower. Lovely kitchenette with welcoming smells of fresh baked bread. Bed was firm yet comfortable. Clean and with such a homey feel. Very close to town and if you are antiquing it is close to the little towns for the adventure. Host was very friendly. Definitely will be coming back to stay.

Restorative Out of the Way Retreat

This beautiful property was perfect for a girls weekend! Located less than 20 min from wineries, downtown Brenham, Chappell Hill and Blue Bell! The property is gorgeous and peaceful. The house was so clean, we asked if it was new! We enjoyed grilling on the back patio while watching a family of Cardinals play, fireflies at night, and the tranquility only the country can provide.

Cookies in the Country

Wonderful hospitality at Gathering Grains! We were in Brenham for the TABC basketball camp with our son and this GG was the perfect place to enjoy (wish we wouldā€™ve had more time to unwind). Short drive into Blinn JC and downtown Brenham for basketball and entertainment. Would love to stay there again for camp next year! ā€¦and the chocolate chip cookies were amazing (thanks Dianne).
