It doesn’t take long to fall in love with the rolling hills and serene landscape of western PA. Residents are blessed to enjoy the year-round beauty of all four seasons, ranging from mild snowy winters to the breathtaking foliage of autumn.
Built in 1870, this house is one of a kind. Some of its unique charm includes gorgeous wooden floors and hand-blown glass windows. As you relax in your room you’ll be swept away to another century as you hear the clip-clop of Amish buggies as they drive by.

Each bedroom has its own full private bathroom. (The King Suite has 2 bedrooms attached to 1 bathroom.) Each bedroom has its own keypad entry code (if you need separate codes for each room), Smart TV, dresser, alarm clock and sound machine.
There are four full bathrooms: one with an air-massage bathtub and three with shower stalls. Each bathroom is fully stocked with towels, hair dryers, soap, shampoo and conditioner.
In the Living Room, there are several board games, puzzles and books. There is extremely fast Wi-Fi throughout the house (via fiber internet).
The laundry room has a clothes washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, vacuum, and pack 'n play (travel crib).
The house is fully heated/cooled and is controlled by a central thermostat located in the kitchen.
There is also a spacious living room and kitchen. The fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with a Keurig coffee machine, coffee pot, snacks and a water cooler.
One of our all-time favorite places is sitting on the porch swings watching the Amish buggies drive by.
You need to climb semi-steep stairs to access the two Queen rooms and Double room. (The stairs really aren't that bad!)
There are outdoor security cameras facing both entrances to the house.

The house is very easy to find: it's bright blue and it's right on the main street.

The house has entrances in both the front and back. You'll be able to access both by entering a code on the keyless entry doors.

The quaint town of Smicksburg is surrounded by multiple Old Order Amish communities (complete with horse-and-buggy travel and 1800s lifestyles). Throughout the year, Smicksburg hosts a variety of seasonal festivals and activities.
Within walking distance are a variety of specialty shops that feature locally-made pottery, Amish-made furniture, country home decor, as well as a small museum. Right across the street is some of the finest fresh-made fudge you’ll ever try! And just down the road is a country diner.
Also across the street is Old Smicksburg Park that features 33 acres of beautiful landscape perfect for hiking, birding and nature study. You can take a walking tour of the park to discover historic ruins of houses, stores and churches. The park also has a small gazebo, picnic tables, and open fields to toss frisbee.
The peaceful Little Mahoning Creek winds alongside Smicksburg and provides a great location to canoe, kayak or splash around in.
14 miles down the road resides the world-famous groundhog Punxsutawney Phil. He lives in the Punxsutawney library for children to enjoy. Indiana, PA is about 24 miles in the opposite direction of Punxsy. Homer City is about 28 miles away.
