The Shark Tank has everything you could want for the perfect vacation with the whole family. Enjoy plenty of amenities with all the comforts and conveniences of home, including a brand-new elevator installed for 2024. Located in the exclusive community of Ocean Isle Estates, you will be treated like royalty while soaking away your cares in the hot tub or enjoying the private pool with an extensive pool area and tropical bar. The home features multiple levels of sun decks, panoramic ocean-to-sound views from the top floor, and effortless beach access, with a location just 400 yards from the beach. Inside, amenities abound, with a first-level game room with a pool table, wet bar, and kitchenette (which includes a refrigerator and microwave). Laundry is a breeze with two washer/dryers. This home has an extensive electronics package with 10 TVs, stereo/CD, and high-speed WiFi for your laptop.

An additional sitting room with a TV on the second level provides a little privacy, as does a top-level loft with sprawling ocean views. For a truly luxurious evening, ride the elevator up to the top-level great room with cathedral ceilings, an adjacent large dining area, and a gourmet kitchen. Close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, and featuring mile-high ocean views and easy beach access, The Shark Tank is not a home to miss!

Second time around!

This visit was much better than the last. Everything was clean and in good working order. It is very accommodating for our large family. The owners have made great improvements to the kitchen. It's close to the beach. We all had a great week. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful home, great location.

Pros: The house is beautiful! It was spacious and accommodating. Bedrooms were all lovely, balconies all around the house. Game room in basement was great! The pool and hot tub were great. The location was convenient, about 5-7 minute walk to the beach. It's close to food shopping as well. Cons: The kitchen! Large spacious kitchen but it was dirty and disorganized. The fridge was a hodgepodge of mismatched/missing shelves, missing drawer, no light or water filter for the fridge and rusty. The utensils looked like almost everything came from a yard sale, flea market, thrift store. The stove made a constant noise while on, a weird safety feature for irresponsible people maybe? Very annoying 😒 Drawers and cabinets disorganized, nothing where you would think it should be. There were 3 coffee makers. They were not the best. A small weird off version of a Keurig, a filthy old thing, and a really nice one that had unusually large filters and the only food store in town was out of them which resulted in me going to Ugly Mugs for delicious coffee several times. I would ask the owner if they're comfortable using this kitchen. I am a mother of six. I need a usable kitchen. It would not cost much to fix those issues. A large griddle would be a plus for making large breakfasts for large groups of people (pancakes, french toast, eggs, etc.) The grill was also filthy, needed to be cleaned before it could be used. There were several missing light bulbs around the house with an empty light bulb box in the closet. Maintenance came out because circuit breaker in master bedroom kept tripping for no obvious reason. I had a lightless ceiling fan on, one nightstand light, and Alexa on, that was it but circuit tripped several times. No explanation or solution. The lawn/yard was the only one in the development that hadn't been mowed in ages. There were weeds with little prickers that attached themselves to everything and were stepped on throughout the house. Mow the lawn, organize and clean the kitchen. Other small issues, the dust, tops of dressers, anything not immediately visible was dusty. I could write my name in it. Moldy shower in master suite. I took pics and sent to management. We all did enjoyed our time at the Shark Tank. I left this review because I was invited to do so.

New Management

The house is as pictured. It is the second time we stayed at this house and it is spacious but needs some updating and care done to it. The AC broke which happened the last time we were in house too. The new management Vacasa was hard to deal with. You don't get a local person when you call and it took all day for someone to come to fix AC. Miss dealing with Outer Beaches and will not rent a home again that is under Vacasa management.

Better then expected!

We’ve rented through several different companies throughout the years that we’ve been staying at the OBX, and when we found out that the company we booked through sold to Vacasa I was a little nervous on expectations because I’ve heard bad things. This trip was much better then expected! We were able to check in 4 hours early (we didn’t purchase early check in), the house was well stocked with the essentials (LOTS of toilet paper and starter dish soap/dishwasher detergent). The house itself worked wonderfully for our group of 14 adults! It was well stocked with cooking and kitchen essentials and everything was in great condition! There was even a KitchenAid mixer!! There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating that could accommodate our group together. The bedrooms were also great! Definitely one of the better houses we’ve stayed in!

Shark Tank: Definitely a Keeper!!

Beautiful home with all the amenities we needed! We loved that every bedroom had a private bathroom plus an extra communal bathroom with shower. The pool was always our after-beach go-to…very clean with nice, comfortable lounge chairs. Hot tub was great, too! Kitchen was huge with lots of storage and very well equipped. Furniture was comfortable and well kept. Lots of room for parking our 5 cars without blocking anyone in. We will be booking this one again!

You can bank on Shark Tank!

Couldn’t be happier with our stay at Shark Tank in Avon, NC! The house was simply amazing and extremely well kept. It was less than a 5 min walk to the beach and located a short drive/walk from the supermarket and great spots to eat. It fit all 14 of us comfortably for a full week and we left with absolutely zero complaints! If you’re searching for a perfect home for your vacation getaway in OBX, you can’t go wrong with Shark Tank! We truly enjoyed our stay!

The house was clean and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. My only complaint, the dvd player and gas fireplace, both listed as amenities did not work.

Good House for Family Vacation

Nice location. Five minute walk to the beach. Convenient to many restaurants, shops, Avon Pier and sports. The house was very comfortable fir our party of 11. Management much more responsive to any issues when we personally went to their office.
