Welcome to "La Maison de René," a charming house, completely renovated with care, combining modern comfort with authentic charm.

Nestled in the heart of the village of Fontannes, this spacious gîte can accommodate up to 14 people, ideal for stays with family or friends.

René and Suzanne, the former owners, brought these walls, steeped in history and stories, to life, and when Thierry and Caroline purchased the house, they were determined to continue in the same spirit.

During the renovation, they worked diligently to preserve the house's original charm: exposed beams, original parquet flooring, and a warm atmosphere evoke the past while offering a comfortable living environment and complete modern amenities.

The sleeping area, located on the first floor, includes four bedrooms and a dormitory, perfect for small and large groups.

Outside, enjoy two furnished areas for relaxing and sharing convivial moments.

The village of Fontannes offers an ideal base for exploring various tourist sites:

- Brioude (approximately 3 km): This town is home to the Basilica of Saint-Julien, the largest Romanesque church in Auvergne, renowned for its frescoes and impressive architecture.

- Lavaudieu (approximately 4 km): Classified as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France," Lavaudieu is known for its Benedictine abbey and Romanesque cloister, offering a glimpse into medieval history.

- Vieille-Brioude (approximately 5 km): This picturesque village features sites such as the Bajasse bridge, a 13th-century structure, and the Church of Sainte-Anne.

You enter the house through the living room, a spacious room furnished with a large dining table and opening onto a comfortable sitting area and a hallway leading to the fully equipped kitchen, a shower room, a toilet, and the staircase to the upper floor.

On the first floor, you will find two double bedrooms, one triple bedroom, one single bedroom, and a dormitory for six people. A shower room and a toilet complete this level.
