Cozy Spotless Lake Cottage- Peaceful Winter Escape Close to Timber Ridge+


The Blue Cottage at North Lake has been completely refurbished with 2 main levels featuring a modern yet rustic lake house atmosphere. Our guests are surprised and elated at how clean/spotless we keep our cottage! NEW Fiber-optic Internet Speeds. The kitchen features new appliances and is well stocked. The large new deck is a great place to dine and absorb the beautiful sunsets. North Lake is a 65-foot deep, 132-acre spring-fed lake where water recreation is fun and easy with a nice sandy beach, clear water, a new dock, and many water toys including kayaks and paddle boards. A new Bennington Pontoon Boat is rentable. North Lake has great fishing with many bass, perch, and blue gill ready to strike your lure. Adirondack chairs surround the fire pit and two new large TVs offer additional nighttime entertainment in addition to star gazing from the pier. For families, a big bonus is that the kids can watch their TV shows and shut the downstairs door while the adults watch Netflix, Hulu, the Lions, or whatever :).

Location: 35 minutes from Lake Michigan, 20 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo, and 15 minutes from Meijers. Lake Michigan resort towns such as South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland are less than 1 hour away. Timber Ridge Ski Resort is 6 miles away.

We had an amazing stay at the Blue Cottage for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was perfectly cozy in a stunning location especially with the snow that we got. Brenda was extremely responsive and accommodating, even offering us to stay an additional night after getting hit with a foot of snow the night before we were schedule to depart.

This is my third stay at this property. I absolutely love it. It is modern yet quaint and a bit rustic. It is very clean and the kitchen is very well stocked kitchen items. I used the crockpot twice. Loved swinging on the swing on the lower deck. Love sitting on the upper deck. The beach has nice sand and easy to just walk into the water. Brenda is very attentive and wonderful to work with. Great vacation.

Excellent stay

We had a great time staying at the blue cottage. The house is well equipped with everything we needed and brenda was quick to respond to any questions. The location on the lake with a sandy beach was ideal for our kids and being able to rent the pontoon was also amazing. Thanks Brenda!

We had a great stay! The house is so clean. We had everything we needed to make great memories. We spent time on the boat, kayaking, fishing, swinging and relaxing on the porches, we had campfires and made s’mores, and ate at great local restaurants. We hope to stay again next year! Brenda was so helpful and very easy to communicate with during our stay.

Wonderful week!

This is our 4th year to this beautiful cottage! It holds many memories! The host is kind, thoughtful and available! Many little touches such as fresh flowers and a welcome basket! Highly recommend this cottage. There is a lot to do, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, campfires, playing in the lake and on the beach!

Summer stay on the lake

This was the perfect cottage and location for our 4-day stay in Gobles. It was during a heat wave so the lake was a nice way to cool down. And the A/C worked well for us! We enjoyed the paddle boards, kayaks and Pontoon. Chatting with the friendly neighbors was lovely. Communication with Brenda throughout the entire process was excellent. We hope to be back next year!

Wonderful stay at North Lake Cottage

The cottage was very comfortable for our family of 6. The lake is beautiful - perfect for swimming and boating. Brenda was a wonderful host - she left a thoughtful welcome basket for our family. She was very responsive to emails and texts. We loved our stay and will definitely come back in the future.

Great Weekend get away.

The lake cottage was a great get away with the family. We enjoyed a full weekend of water fun and sand. The lake was very warm and inviting. Bring your own fire wood, bathroom supplies, kitchen spices, and kids toys/games. No hot tub or spa tub.

Summer 2024

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay ! The minute we walked in we couldn’t help but notice how clean it was . Bathrooms , bedrooms , kitchen , everything . No surprises at all . The kids wouldn’t get out of the water ! Paddle boards were a HUGE hit . We also had access to Brenda’s pontoon boat which btw also looked brand new . The kids loved the easy beach access , just walk right in ! Fished off the dock and also the pontoon boat . Loved it and with luck we can return again next summer . Brenda was Johnny on the spot for any questions I had . I even met a couple of the neighbors and they couldn’t have been nicer . Wonderful trip !

Beautiful cottage and lake! Highly recommend!

This cottage/ home was perfect- just 2 of us but easily would accommodate 8 in beds. 2 living spaces and 2 kitchens, lovely outdoor space, lake is beautiful, sandy and level walk in shore. Pontoon boat rental a big plus! Kitchen had everything, it was clean, comfy beds, nicely decorated and even could use kayaks and paddle boards! Listing is very accurate- don’t hesitate to stay here. Host was very responsive and more than pleasant and helpful!

Perfect for our family

We had a very rainy weekend visit but this place had everything we needed. Plenty of space and accommodations for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with the pans and utensils we needed.

Happy Place

This is the second year I chose this as a vacation site. This lake house is clean, comfortable, peaceful, roomy, rustic yet modern. The kitchen is well stocked. Thanks for adding the crockpot. The view of the lake and the sunset is exceptional. The upper deck is very nice along with the table and chairs. In the living room very comfy couch and loveseat to sit on and look out over the lake. Nice breeze off the lake when we had the sliding glass door open and the screen in place. Downstairs is roomy and offers additional living space. Having the second refrigerator downstairs was helpful as well. Clean modern bathrooms. My experience renting this property was excellent.

Second family trip

For the second year in a row we were pleased with everything at the Blue Cottage. The place was very clean, the supplies were adequate and communication with the owner was great. We rented the pontoon for the week and enjoyed fishing, swimming and just cruising around the lake with it. Thanks Brenda for another great year of memories!

North Lake Family Fun for Everyone

Our stay at the Blue Cottage was all we had hoped for and more! It was a lovely place for our family! They had everything a family with children of ALL different ages could utilize which made our stay awesome and very enjoyable. The kitchen is very well-stocked! They have just about any kitchen appliance you could think of! A few labels would be a bit helpful for the kitchen especially. The cottage was clean and a perfect getaway spot for families/friends. It had the perfect cottage feel with modern amenities . I can't wait to return next season with our family ! We are excited to be able to ride the pontoon boat around next year also. We were sorry that we passed on the chance to this year! We also saw the neighbors catch some pretty big bass from right off their dock! It was great! The property manager is so wonderful to work with and was very kind and understanding. Being a mom with two young girls, she answered all of my questions beforehand and was super accommodating and helpful as much as she possibly could! I cannot wait for our return trip!

2nd stay just as wonderful as the first

Our family is so thankful to have found this wonderful place! It is turning into a wonderful family tradition to gather at this perfect cottage. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, kayaking, paddle boarding, campfires and sipping coffee over looking the water in the mornings. The cottage is well stocked! Brenda is a wonderful host. She is very welcoming! Looking forward to next year!

Perfect Lake House

We stayed for a week in late June and had a wonderful time! The kids kept themselves busy with the kayaks, paddle boards, and swimming area right outside the house. The fishing was fantastic off of the pier; we caught bluegill and bass everyday! We opted to rent the pontoon so we could explore the lake. The pontoon was fantastic, the neighbors were all very kind, and the lake was never very crowded which made for an ideal relaxing vacation. Brenda was a lovely host. She responded to all inquiries very quickly and even got a little gift for the kids to enjoy during our stay. I highly recommend this lake home!
