The property is ideally located just off Highway 71, with quick access to both I-35 and I-70, making it easy to explore the entire metro area. Once you arrive, you can park your car and take advantage of public transportation or enjoy walking to nearby attractions.
We’re located just up the street from Children’s Mercy Hospital and Crown Center, which connects to Union Station via a convenient skybridge. From there, hop on the KC Streetcar—a free and easy way to ride all the way to the River Market, with stops throughout Downtown, the Power & Light District, and the Crossroads.
For added convenience, all guests will receive access to our electronic guidebook, filled with detailed information on nearby attractions, local dining, transportation tips, and more—available before check-in to help you plan the perfect Kansas City stay.

If you love old homes with character, you’ll absolutely fall in love with the historic charm and thoughtful details of Holmes Place! From stained glass accents to cozy reading nooks, this beautifully updated property is full of personality and warmth—perfect for families, friend groups, or work travelers.
Step Inside
Enter through the grand foyer, where you’re greeted with stained glass windows, warm lighting, a cozy bench for removing shoes, and an additional accent chair. The character of this home shines through from the moment you arrive.
Living Room
Kick back and relax on the soft leather couch or enjoy a game night in this inviting and comfy living space. Two additional chairs offer plenty of seating for your group to gather and watch a movie on the 50" Smart TV loaded with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.
Kitchen
Fully equipped with all the essentials, the kitchen includes plates, cookware, utensils, and more. While there isn’t a conventional oven, the space includes:
Two large toaster oven/air fryers
Gas stovetop
Keurig, drip coffee maker, French press, and pour-over setup
A variety of K-cups, creamer, and sugar
A convenient half bath is also located just off the kitchen area.
Dining Room
The dining room, open to the living area, features a beautiful wood table and plush upholstered chairs that seat up to 8 guests—perfect for shared meals, card games, or conversations late into the evening.

Lower Level Bedroom:
1 cozy queen bed with soft, luxurious bedding
Conveniently located just off the dining room
Second Floor Bedrooms:
2 spacious rooms with KING beds
Master bedroom includes a Smart TV, vanity with chair (great as a workspace or for getting ready), and ample closet space
1 additional bedroom with a queen bed, closet, and nightstand
Finished Attic Bonus Room:
Great for extra space to unwind, meditate, or work
Features a desk setup

There are 2 full bathrooms on the second floor and 1 half bath on the main level.
One full bath includes a double vanity and tub/shower combo
The other features a walk-in tiled shower
All bathrooms are stocked with Tommy Bahama luxury bath products, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion
Each guest is provided with one large towel, one washcloth, and a dark makeup towel for convenience
Parking
3 designated parking spots are available behind the home, accessible via a side alley off 26th Street
Street parking is also available in front of the home

Getting around is super easy with Kansas City at your doorstep. The closest KC Streetcar stop is only 0.6 miles away - so you have access to Downtown, the River Market, all the way through Midtown and the Plaza without having to worry about parking!

*IDENTITY VERIFICATION and PROPERTY INSURANCE REQUIREMENT: To help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with SafelyStay, Inc. to provide all reservations with damage protection of up to $1,500. This protection plan is $45 for all stays under 29 nights, and is included in the cost of your booking. Stays 30-59 nights will be required to pay an additional insurance premium of $305 directly on our website. Stays longer than 59 nights will be separately charged for damage protection extension at the rate of $130/30 days. Please note, guest screening is also required for any bookings made through VRBO or direct. *PARTIES - All gatherings must be limited to 12, this is monitored and guests violating this rule will be charged a mandatory $700 fine. NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.
*PETS - We do allow pets with host approval. If you are planning on bringing a pet please notify us once you complete your booking. There is a $75 fee for one pet or $125 for two that is collected once the booking is confirmed and paid in full. Contact us for questions. (Guests are required to pick up after their pet, host provides dog bag stations.) There is no fenced in space at this home but the neighborhood is perfect for walking. There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets.
*CANCELLATION POLICY - Guests can receive a full refund minus processing fees (approximately 4%) if they cancel up to 5 days before check in. No refund will be provided if cancelling less than 5 days before check in.
*RENTAL AGREEMENT - We require all guests to digitally sign a rental agreement outlining all house rules once booking is confirmed.
