The property is set up for contactless entry. We will not be at the property in person and communication through the app or by text is preferred.


Our neighborhood is full of other charming beach cottages and offers a quaint and quiet atmosphere. The home is centrally located in the heart of Port St. Joe, within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. You will be close to lots of outdoor activities, food, and entertainment options, including walking trails, live music, dining, shopping, the Sea Turtle Museum, the historical Lighthouse, and St. Joe Bay.


Guests will have access to the lower unit of our blue beach home. You have your own private entrance and your own private screened-in porch. You share a communal yard with other guests.


Welcome to Mermaid Manor — a cozy, mermaid-inspired coastal retreat on the ground floor of a beautifully renovated blue beach home. You get your own private entrance, a completely self-contained space, and total privacy with none of the cookie-cutter feel of a standard rental.
The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area is bright and welcoming. The kitchen is set up for real cooking — you'll find a full-size refrigerator, a professional countertop convection oven that handles everything from roasted fish to baked goods, dual burner cooktop, microwave, coffee bar, blender, wine glasses, baking sheets, and all the cookware and basics you need. The only thing missing is a traditional range — and most guests never notice.
The sleeping area features a comfortable queen bed, a separate vanity nook, and a daybed with trundle — flexible for a third guest when needed. The open layout keeps the cottage feeling airy rather than compartmentalized. The full bathroom is stocked with toiletries and fresh linens.
Outside, you have your own private screened-in porch — perfect for morning coffee or evening wine without the bugs — plus a fire pit in the shared backyard for stargazing nights. Additional outdoor amenities include an outdoor shower and a fish cleaning station, plus free boat parking on a first-come basis.
Free laundry is available on premises. Beach towels, umbrella, and beach chairs are on site — just grab and go. A dedicated workspace means you can work remotely without sacrificing your vacation vibe. Single level, no stairs, smart lock self check-in.
Mermaid Manor is proudly dog-friendly with no pet fee — ever. Up to 2 pets welcome.
GUEST ACCESS:
You have exclusive access to the lower unit with your own private entrance and private screened porch. The backyard and laundry are shared with the other thoughtfully spaced cottages on the property.

Downtown Port St. Joe is walkable from your door — shops, restaurants, live music, and the bay are all within a 2-minute stroll. Here's what's close:

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park — pristine beaches, hiking trails, kayak and paddleboard launch

There is free parking onsite and Mermaid Manor has ONE parking space. As we are centrally located, guests can easily walk to many of the restaurants and stores downtown. The most convenient way to move through town is walking, biking, or driving. Please note that currently Uber and Lyft are not available in our area.

*Mermaid Manor is a great spot for an individual guest, a couple, or a couple with a small child who are looking for a central location.

*Our home offers private, self check-in for your convenience, while sharing the property with three other thoughtfully spaced cottages.

*We are pet-friendly and have plenty of space to accommodate 2 pets. There is no pet fee for this cottage.

- Salinas Park is a 15 mins drive away, where you can have the amazing experience of horseback riding on the beach
- If you are interested in wildlife and natural beauty, plan a trip over to St. Vincent Island by ferry boat for the day. Hike around the island and explore our native wildlife and foliage.
- About 20 miles away is the historical fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River, or grab some of the best seafood around! You won't be disappointed!
