Stylish apartment in Middelkerke - 200m from the beach

Thank you for your stay and your feedback Pia. I can understand that a second room with bunk beds is less suitable for 4 adults, but this info is obviously provided before booking.... sorry that you experienced our accommodation as less spacious as a a consequence.

Hi Dirk, thanks for your review. It is unfortunate that you are berating us for damage caused during your stay. However, our house rules are very clear: if there is any damage upon arrival, we expect our guests to inform us immediately just to avoid such discussions. After the previous guest left, there was no damage. After your departure, there was. Then it is clear to us that it was caused during your stay. This can happen to anyone, but please be correct to communicate this. So I can only concur with your suggestion: do you notice any damage on arrival? Then report this to the owner immediately! You did not do this... because there was no damage. If there had been, you would certainly have reported it to us. After all, our bench was hanging loose from the wall.... It then makes sense to appeal to the guarantee to compensate for the damage. That is what the guarantee is for. By compensating the damage, this was the end of the matter for us and I also did not see why I would give you a lesser rating as a guest after this. You apparently have different values. That' s a pity. For future guests, I am happy to address your other comments: - the moisture problem of the adjoining building has since been addressed and the bathroom has been restored to perfect condition. - the public waste container is located 200m from the flat. Not an insurmountable distance. Our brochure also includes the suggestion that you can purchase a municipal waste bag at the supermarket so that the waste can be placed on the facade when you leave. Free choice for everyone. - Our advertisement clearly states that we do not have a private parking space. However, there are several public car parks in the immediate vicinity. As in every other coastal municipality in Belgium, these are subject to a charge during holiday periods. There are free spaces, but these are obviously not in the immediate vicinity of the apartment.
