Amish country Farmhouse in quiet Holmes County with fishing

Our farmhouse is located in a remote area of Holmes county on a quiet dirt road with no neighbors in sight. Plenty of room and ground to entertain a small family or a large group. Kid's playset and large pond stocked with plenty of fish to entertain your family. Come and enjoy serene peace & quiet!!
Our place is only a 15 min drive to downtown Millersburg with fine dining and tons of local antique and specialty stores, golf and only another 10 min away from Berlin! 35 min from Mohican state park, 45 min from snow trails ski resort

Due to confusion I would like to update some information.
1. We do not have Wi-Fi! Unfortunately internet is not available here except Verizon or Hughes net and both don’t work well for this situation because the first guest of the cycle would use up all the high speed and rest of the month my guests would have super slow lagging Wi-Fi so we opted to keep this a get away to enjoy the remote area
2. This site doesn’t have an option for air mattresses. The common area is our upstairs “family room” which has a Daybed with trundle, tv and games. There is a full air mattress and twin air mattress with bedding & pillows provided.
3. King master bedroom is on main floor with attached master bath
4. Second floor also has a queen bedroom, another bedroom with 3 twins and a full bed, family room and full bathroom with tub/shower combo.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were comfortable and enjoyed the beautiful scenery around us. We did a lot of baking and cooking and feel the stove was not working correctly was the only thing we had an issue with. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful location

We have over a dozen family that stay all weekend and you can't even tell there are that many there as the upstairs has a playroom, a fire pit outside and the pond or just going for a walk.

Beautiful home. Every need was provided. Huge bass in the pond to fish for. Very private. Fast responce from owner when a question was asked. We all enjoyed our stay immensely and we will recommend it to our friends and we hope to stay in the area again soon

Peaceful stay

The location was peaceful and rustic. It was florets watching the snowflakes float past the windows and trees in a cozy house. The children enjoyed the outdoor amenities.

We loved everything about the property. Our daughter and her bridal party, as well as our of state friends stayed there. It's spacious, clean, and it was more than we expected.

Beautiful property

Our family of seven just stayed here for a week, and we had a fantastic time. This property is beautiful and as private as you would want it to be. We had one issue that we communicated with Melody about during our stay, and she worked extremely hard to resolve it. We would stay here again, for sure.

Remote farmhouse with lots of space.

We picked this location because it had a lot of beds for a large group. It was great! Hostess was great about communicating.

Christmas get away

Everything was clean. Our needs (bedding, toiletries,towels,etc) were very nicely provided. Plenty of parking area. Overall I was very pleased with the pricing and the housing. We had a great time.

Ideal for family weekend

Places to sleep for all 13 kids, grand kids and great grandkids. Clean, well supplied, and well maintained. Spent a lot of time at the fire ring, hope to use many times again.

Great stay

We loved our stay at the house. No great cell service but that was okay! The house was clean and perfect for our little getaway with friends. The porch was fun to hang out on. Loved that half is screened in. Thank you for having us.

Reunion

I rented this listing for a reunion, and it was wonderful! We had 15 people staying in the house, though I wouldn't recommend that for more than a night or two, and it worked. There are only two bathrooms and one is in the master bedroom so that makes it a tad difficult when you have a large number of people staying there, but otherwise it was great! The property is beautiful and out in the middle of nowhere which I loved :)

Family time

We had 6 people in our party. Plenty of room for everyone. The house is very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The yard is clean with plenty of room for outdoor games. The screened in patio is huge with nice furniture. My 4 year old grandson sat out there every morning and evening, the whole family ate our meals out there. It is a very relaxing home to come back to after long days enjoying Amish country activities. My 11 year old grandson loved the fishing pond and caught a fish about 7-8 pounds. If you are looking for a quiet home to relax in, but close to town, this is the home for you. Melody is a great host very good to work with.

Don’t overlook this one!

Every year our family finds a place to gather. We had our oldest (married) daughter with her husband and our 2 grandkids. And we also had our 2 college age daughters with us. Plenty of room. The inside of the home is modern farm house, open floor plan, and the kitchen table fit is all and had room for more. The back screened in porch was so nice. The playground set was perfect for the grandkids. And the pond! My family enjoyed the catch and release fishing. Caught some huge bass in there. The catfish must be huge as it bent the hook on our line. So much fun. Outdoor bon fire pit is perfect. It was too hot out for us to use but is positioned perfect overlooking the pond. This place is quiet! I mean quiet! Which is what we wanted. Has cable tv but we didn’t even turn it on. The property is large and plenty of places to walk and stroll around. Our family relaxed and had so much fun. One final thing, it’s about 25 minutes from Berlin Amish country. You can hit any area of Amish country within 40 minutes. So it’s perfect if you want to head in and shop. The hosts are so kind and very easy to work with. Don’t over look this one! Enjoy!

Always willing to make things right.

Property was amazing. Owner was available quickly to handle any needs. She also worked to make any concerns right. Home had heavy fragrance from plug ins. We unplugged them and it aired out, but if you are sensitive to fragrances, it could be an issue. Also, listing is 4 bedroom house with two common areas containing beds. The home is a 3 bedroom home with one common area containing two beds. We made it work, but it was confusing because the listing made it sound like there was a room that wasn’t there. The delightful and helpful nature of the owner made up for the inconvenience, however the group did feel like they would like to have known ahead of time.

Gorgeous property

This property was absolutely perfect! The property was beautiful and the house was excellent! We had three couples and 4 little ones and we had plenty of space. We loved the huge dining room table that easily fit all of us! The kiddos loved the play set and rolling down the hill by the pond. The house was spacious, clean, and had everything we could possibly need. This was a great property for a family weekend and we will definitely be back!
