This lovely 1500+ sq. ft. Lake Home is near Garrison MN on Round Lake (in the Brainerd Lakes Area), just a short 1-1/2 hour trip from the Twin Cities. Minutes from a boat landing on Mille Lacs Lake.

This is the place to bring your family and friends for a relaxing time. This 1500+ sq ft house with three private bedrooms; it has 2 full bathrooms (one being off the master bedroom). You have all the comfort of home. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes and small appliances. There is a full size refrigerator with large top freezer, stove, oven, and of course a microwave oven for late night popcorn, while watching your favorite DVD/VHS movie on the TV or your other favorite TV programs. Bed linens and bath towels are provided. Be sure to pack your favorite beach towel!

This Lake Home Retreat is your dream vacation on a great quiet lake with sandy beach and beautiful clear water. The lake is great for all activities - fishing, boating, swimming, skiing, canoeing, tubing, or just relaxing. It has great swimming for children with a shallow sandy beach with gradual depth. Provided for your enjoyment: canoe, bocce ball, ladder ball, croquet, board games, cards as well as a DVD/VCR for rainy days plus Dish Network to enjoy your favorite sports or shows! Relax by the lakeside fire pit and watch the beautiful sunsets over the lake. Maybe enjoy golf at one of the many courses nearby (Rutgers Bay Lake, Cuyuna Country Club, Mille Lacs Lake Golf to name a few of the courses), or how about an evening at the Casino just 7 miles away, or shopping, great eating and recreation in the Brainerd Lakes Area. For the kids, or kid in you; how about Paul Bunyan Amusement park just 10 minutes away or mini golf in nearby Deerwood. Maybe curling up with your latest favorite book, or playing board games or cards is your style. Enjoy your favorite grilled food on the large deck with the Weber grill, but remember your charcoal and lighter fluid!

If fishing is your pleasure - you will enjoy trying to catch maybe a resident northern, walleye, bass, or pan fish or just some great sun! Round Lake is about 1000 acres and up to 128 ft deep in the middle. Remember to pack your favorite lures and poles, and don’t forget your life jackets!

You, your family and/or friends will create some of those memories you will cherish for years to come. Don’t forget your camera. No guns, please.

This was our fourth trip staying at this house. We always have a fantastic stay. Great house with beautiful sunsets every night. Good fishing, clean water. Most importantly, the hosts are always responsive and make sure everything is perfect for our visit. We truly feel at home here and can’t wait to come back again!

Relaxing Family Getaway

This is a great property to relax by the lake and enjoy time with family and friends. Inside and out, we had everything we needed. Our host was helpful and answered every question we had. We’ve stayed here before, and will be going back again next year!

Beautiful cabin and location

We had very relaxing week. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you need. It is very clean. The lake is clear, and it has a really nice beach area by the dock. Sunsets are right over the lake, and they are beautiful. The owners of the cabin, Karen and Doug are very welcoming.

All the positive remarks from previous reviews are true, including Karen & Doug's attentiveness to guests, great communication about weather fronts in the area, etc. It is so spacious, including two full bathrooms. Loved the decks! The waterfront with a truly sandy beach was a highlight for our three grandchildren, ages 10-14. We liked it so much we reserved the same week next year.

Nice relaxing vacation

The cabin was very nice with everything we needed. We enjoyed the sandy lake bottom for swimming and boating on the quiet lake. There was lots of wild life around the property and we had fun watching a pair of loons playing on the lake.

Relaxing Family Time at the Lake

This was an amazing property for our family! With great outdoor spaces, plus comfortable family rooms for those rainy days, the four adults in our group had plenty of space to relax and connect. The owners answered every question we had and ensured we had a great stay. It’s clear why so many families (including ours) return year after year!

Relaxing Getaway

Clean spacious cabin on a wonderful relaxing lake. Soft sandy beach. Clear lake great for floating and swimming. Amazing sunsets. The owners are very nice. We’ve stayed here three times and it’s always been great.

Round lake family time

Nice place. The oven went out our second day there which messed up some of the meals planned but we made the best of that as we could.

Relaxing lakeside retreat

Wonderful getaway, only 1 1/2 hrs from the city! The lake, landscape and home was perfect! Beautiful sandy beach and swimming area, great fishing and the lake home has everything you need:) Karen and Doug are the best hosts you could ask for, definitely will be going back!

Great house, lake and location

This was our second time at this property and we love it. Nothing fancy, but if you're looking for a "cottage" on a lake, this is the place. Bring your boat, or rent one locally for the week. Fishing is good and the water clean and spring fed.

Four senior citizen women enjoyed the week at this cabin.

The cabin was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The beach, lake, and dock was perfect. Weed free swimming, clear water, and the beachfront was super easy to access. We had great conversations with the owner and they were very helpful. Very quiet and restful!

Amazing lake getaway!

Our family had a wonderful time relaxing on the lake! This home was the perfect place to unwind and kick off our summer. Karen was so responsive to all of my questions and made our family feel right at home. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We are looking forward to a return visit next year!

Fantastic Lake Get-away

This was our third time staying at this lovely lakefront home. The waters are ultra-clean and full of fish. Swimming, boating and fishing. This place has it all. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Karen and Doug are fantastic hosts and check in occasionally to be sure our stay is complete.

Another Wonderful Year

This was our second year at the cabin with our boys, 12&14. We had a wonderful time on the lake tubing, spending time on the sandbar, swimming, and fishing. The house is wonderful and has everything you need for a home away from home! Thanks again Karen & Doug.

Cozy cabin, perfect beach!

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Four of us stayed here - four adults and one toddler and the size was just right. The shallow, clear,sandy beach is perfect and a standout feature for us. We also loved the big beautiful deck, bonfire area, and lawn. The kitchen and home are well stocked with everything we needed (i.e. Cooking utensils, etc). The cabin overall is well taken care of and clean, and the owners are super thoughtful, professional, and considerate. We would stay here again!

Round Lake

Dean and I had a wonderful week at Round Lake! The cabin far exceeded our expectations. Karen and Doug were great and gave us great tips for fishing, dining, and shopping for food. We loved the loons and the serenity of the lake. Canoeing around the shore of the lake with the cabin's provided canoe on Sunday morning was a highlight! We would definitely come back!

We enjoy our lake home very much! We have another Lake Home and decided to rent this one - as we have decided to keep both in the family.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Location was great - not too far of a drive from the Twin Cities with great roads. Close to Mille Lacs Lake for some great fishing - close to Brainerd for great entertainment. The best thing is Round Lake is a great lake, just the right size, not too busy with a lot of other boaters, it has a sandy beach with very clear clean water, and great swimming for the entire family. We are located in a great bay with very few other property owners.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The tranquility of the lake and sunsets are just amazing. It is hard to explain until you have experienced it. The sandy beach, quiet lake, swimming, and just soaking up the sun on the dock or relaxing by the fire in the fire pit are so enjoyable. The large lot makes it nice to enjoy other lawn activities while still enjoying the water. Also, watching the resident eagles soar and osprey dive for fish add to the total enjoyment of the lake experience.
