About this home:
Welcome to 611 Route 6A, a beautifully renovated 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom home located in the highly sought-after Carleton Shores neighborhood of East Sandwich, MA. Just 1 mile from the association beach, this charming retreat includes beach passes for convenient parking, central gathering spaces, and a private backyard - perfect for a classic Cape Cod vacation.

The first floor boasts gleaming hardwood floors, an open-concept kitchen/dining area with granite countertops, a dishwasher, and abundant natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked for gourmet cooking, and the dining table comfortably seats eight, with extra seating available.

The spacious living room offers plenty of seating for TV viewing and a cozy nook with games and books for relaxing on rainy days. The first-floor master bedroom is conveniently located next to a ceramic-tiled full bath.

Upstairs, you’ll find four additional bedrooms, three of which include TVs and Firesticks. A second full bath with a tub/shower combo serves the upper level.

The large, private backyard is perfect for outdoor fun, with a gas grill, picnic tables, and a firepit for cozy evenings. Two mini-split A/C units cool the first floor, while two window units provide comfort upstairs. An additional refrigerator in the basement is perfect for beach days.

Other Details to Note

The home is cooled in the summer with 2 mini-splits on the first floor and 2 window ACs on the second floor. Washer and Dryer on the premises and ample parking for 6 cars in the drive. Even an extra refrigerator in the basement, along with a cooler for the beach.

• 1 pet welcome at no charge; $100 fee per additional pet

• Sheets & towels not included (can be brought or rented locally, Dune Tootin Linen Rentals recommended)

This home was absolutely amazing ! We loved the well stocked kitchen . Also lots of games and reading materials. Had a lovely time sitting by the fire pit . My two year old grandson thought the gardens and outside decorations were amazing . Thanks for a perfect stay!

Good stay

The home was in a great location. Having to bring or rent sheets and towels was something I had never encountered with VRBO listings. The indoor portion of the home was very nice, but the outdoor furniture around the fire pit was dirty - I assumed it would be cleaned in preparation of arrival. Overall, a good place to stay for visiting the Cape

Amazing house

Beautiful well maintained home. Having the beach passes was a plus. The only downfall was the mosquitos. We had to run to the car to avoid getting eaten alive.

Beach Getaway

This was a clean, bright and beautifully decorated beach vacation house. My mother-in law commented on how homey it felt. The kitchen had many appliances, hand soap and dish towels. We enjoyed the private beach especially at low tide. The yard was nice and pleasantly free of poison ivy and we were able to enjoy a fire in the fire pit one night!

relaxing cape cod stay

We had a wonderful week at the house. The place was immaculate and very comfortable. It was wonderful to have the beach pass so we could always park at Carleton Beach. The directions were very clear and the binder of activities and restaurants was up to date and helpful. There was a battery that was beginning to get low on one of the smoke detectors and they came over within an hour of my calling them. We highly recommend the property!!!

Family Fun

We hosted vacation for our three adult 'kids' and invited friends to stop by throughout the week. The house was perfectly sized and worked great for us. It is not realistically walkable to the beach, although it is just a short drive with beach passes provided. 6A is a main road with fast moving traffic which made dog walks a drive to the quiet neighborhood around the corner. Having our puppy there with us meant so much. Overall, a wonderful house and location where you get on and off the Cape while still enjoying the tremendous beaches and activities.

Everything in the house was very clean and well maintained. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you would need - even with skewers for s'mores! We enjoyed playing some of the games they have available. It was mild weather so lots of windows to open and feel fresh in the house. Bedrooms were all comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets. For the beach we enjoyed the chairs and umbrella. And very convenient 3 minute drive. The beach is very rocky, and once the sun is almost down the mosquitoes at the beach were awful. But at the house at night we didn't have any of them around the fire pit. House is very quiet - set back from the main road and lots of trees and flowers around. Only negative was we brought four bikes with us and there wasn't a garage or easy access to the basement to store them so we just left outside and luckily no rain. Next time we will bring a tarp and solve that problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Cape and in the house and will definitely consider coming back next year.

We had a wonderful stay at this rental! The property was exactly as described—very clean, charming, and full of character. It’s tucked away off the road, which made it feel peaceful and private. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared, and we truly appreciated the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The private beach was awesome. He was a little rocky so shoes are definitely needed, but it was great for morning walks and afternoons in the sun.My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommend!

Highly Recommend!

We vacationed here with close friends for a week and had an amazing experience. The house was in great condition and included more amenities than we even thought of! The location was perfect, as it’s set back in a secluded area and we had many teenagers with us, so no concerns about noise when we sat by the fire at night. Everything was clean and ready to use, and the property managers were quick to respond to any questions I had. Highly recommend and would definitely return here for another stay. Great Stay in Sandwich
