This was our second trip to this location in Taos. Comfortable, cozy and clean. Wonderful residence. Ms. Jaramillo the care taker was a gracious host.

2025 Snowboard Trip

The house was extremely comfortable and cozy. Plenty of room in the house to not be tripping over one another. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the house and property as well. Communication on checking in was top notch and made the whole process much smoother for us with no worries. Being within walking distance of the Plaza with plenty of shopping and dining options was definitely nice as well.

Family vacation

Perfect size for our family. Short walk to Taos plaza. Kitchen well equipped. Very comfortable and convenient. We spent a lot of time skiing, but like being in town

Beautiful house, great location

The house was beautiful, well decorated, and well maintained. The hot tub was clean and so peaceful at night. It was a quick 5-10 minute walk to the plaza. Overall great stay and we would stay here again.

This is a fun house that is well situated and near main part of Taos. The property manager was very helpful and we had a great time.

Great Place to Stay in Taos

We four active Seniors stayed here in early November. The location was perfect- within walking distance of the Plaza, but away from tourist areas so that it felt like a real neighborhood. The house is in the typical Taos style with a small enclosed yard/patio which was great for our dog.

A great house!

We, three senior citizens, loved the house and its decor. The kitchen was very well equipped, it was a short walk to the plaza and the caretaker was very responsive and available. I recommend it.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay here when visiting Taos. Spent many hours laughing at the firepit! This home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Yes the floors are uneven and there are stairs, but as long as you are paying attention, all should be good. Weā€™d stay again!

Cozy, cool spot

This place was awesome, had everything we needed and was super close to the downtown area. I think the whole house could use a good deep clean but it wasnā€™t ā€˜dirtyā€™ just a little dusty.

Many great things but . . .

This adobe house is charming and rustic. There's lots of space and the decor is pleasant. The ktichen is well-equipped and the beds are comfortable. The location near the plaza is a plus. For all these reasons I gave it a good rating but there are things you should know before you rent. Directly next door to the house is an Early Head Start center and the small patio looks out over the driveway to the fence and storage for the center. Additionally, you hear the young children playing outside all morning. Not a deal breaker. The front patio had not been cleaned. There were leaves and other debris everywhere and the outdoor chair cushions were filthy and full of spiders. There were also rotting apricots that made a pretty unpleasant smell if you wanted to enjoy the patio or the hot tub. If anyone in your party is not sure-footed then the uneven falgstone and concrete flooring and steps down to the larger bedroom and study might be dicey. The larger bedroom is very dark. The big problem for us is that the larger bedroom and attached bathroom had a strong mildew/mold odor that gave me a sinus headache. I know it was that room because within a few minutes of entering it, the headache, watery eyes and stuffy nose would return and within 10 minutes of leaving it would go away. We actually left two days early and forfeited our rent for those two days.

Art & Authenticity in Taos

Wonderful art filled the home, and the layout was perfect for our family of five. Close enough to the plaza to walk in 8 minutes, and just a few minutes to a good grocery store. Property manager was personable and gave great localsā€™ tips to guide our five night stay.

Overall a good stay. Property manager was great and responsive. Pros: Close to plaza. A/C worked well. Peaceful

The home was pleasant and comfortable. The many skylights permitted the sun to brighten the living spaces in the morning. Neighborhood was quiet. The caretaker, Ms Jaramillo was attentive and checked in with us several times to assure our comfort. Great residence.

Great home with so many amenities!

We found this rental to be ideal for our stay in Taos. We enjoyed the distinctive Taos style of the house. Itā€™s a great location within walking distance of the historic Plaza, the Bent Street shops, Kit Carson Park and several good restaurants and bars. It has plenty of room and privacy for two couples plus 2 or 3 children. There are comfortable areas for computer work and the wi-fi is adequate for most needs. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, cookware and appliances. And for dog owners, thereā€™s a big enclosed grassy field just down the street made especially for walking dogs. We would definitely stay there again.

Great place for a small group

This property is lovely and spacious, great for our group of 4 adults and 1 dog. It was clean, nicely decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is only a 10 minute walk to the plaza and surrounding shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this as a desirable vacation spot to stay.

Unique Properties Convenient to Taos Plaza and Large Enough for Families

Taos plaza is only about a half-mile walk from this stay. My family stayed here and the house is very unique and well-equipped. The hot tub was a fun extra. The property manager was very communicative, and check-in was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful visit to Taos!

A friend and myself came to Taos to visit a friend that lives here. The home worked out perfect for us. Plenty of room for the 2 of us and still plenty when friend came over. Although we didn't do much cooking, the kitchen is well stocked for anything you would need. Main tv area was comfy plus, there was an addition tv/den room with a sleeper sofa. Went to Santa Fe, museums, Taos plaza and had a great time. Yavanne checked in with us to make sure we got in ok and was great to work with!

Bigger than expected

We really enjoyed our time here, the place is old but kept up pretty good. It is much bigger than the pictures show. Parking is tight and recommend a small car. But big kitchen and dining room, 2 full bedrooms and a third in the tv room. You can walk to the square in 10 minutes which is nice. The manager was amazing and you never feel like your on your own. Great communication and very thoughtful. We recommend this place highly.

Great place for a friend getaway

The house layout is fun and funky! There was plenty of room for the 3 of use. The kitchen is very well equipped for those who want to cook. The hot tub is a nice perk and we used it one evening after a long day outing and abouting. Caution: there are steps in the house between the living room and kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom area and more to the third bedroom and extra bedroom area. We navigated them well but were cognizant to be careful.

Beautiful Home!

We loved our stay at this property. The interior is gorgeous and so well appointed. The hot tub was a nice bonus too! The neighborhood is quiet and an easy walk into the Plaza. We come to Taos often and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a magical time staying at Casa Loma- there was an area on the property for every mood, time of day and type of experience - whether it was coffee in the sun in the patio or a glass of wine by the fireplace or fire pit in the the evening! Communication with the property manager was excellent and we had everything we needed for a girlā€™s getaway. Would definitely stay again.

We - a family from Austria with Border Collies (dogs are welcome in the Casa) who were finding themselves in flat South Texas due to work - were dearly missing the mountains from our home country. Having read the story of Ernie Blake - the Swiss/German founder of the Taos Ski Valley, who was flying for years over Rockies to find a location which reminded him of his loved Alps - we fell in love with Taos over a few ski vacations. The combination of world class alpine skiing, excellent restaurants (Taos features among the top ski locations for foodies) and the vivid art scene became too hard to resist (that Taos is in driving distance - for our dogs - from our Texas home sealed the deal).

A lot of the art has been retained and extended by alpine touches - creating an eclectic mix of Taos history and art combined with modern comfort.
