Everything was very clean and the property was remote and quiet. Do bring all you need as it is a ways on rough gravel but so worth it. Fishing is fun and right downstairs. It would be a great place to get in the river but we opted out on swimming or kayaking this trip. I know it will be even more beautiful in the fall. It is well stocked and has everything you could need for cooking . We enjoyed watching television in the evenings after dark. It is a very cozy place to stay and the beds are c comfortable.

We have been visiting Hardy and Spring River for 20 years and this was our best stay yet! While this location is a little off the beaten path, if you don’t mind a little bumpy ride out, it is well worth it! It was clean, good kitchen amenities, had comfortable beds, and the outdoor space is excellent. This spot on the river is PERFECT!

We stayed for 4 nights for a little fishing vacation and had a great time! The property had everything we needed with an advance notice from the hosts to grab anything we might personally need or want before arriving due to location. You will lose cell service in the dirt road but the WiFi was excellent to stay connected once we arrived. We fished everyday from the dock and used to kayaks. This area of the Spring is a little too warm for trout but we still managed to snag one along with several bluegill and rock bass. We tried all kinds of local tips but caught almost everything in a catfish rig with night crawlers. The hammock and deck were amazing! We grilled every night and really enjoyed listening to the river for our morning coffee. Overall a wonderful trip with excellent hosts who communicated quickly! Checking and check out was easy! We added an extra night right before our trip and we were so thankful for one more day away from Little Rock.

Beautiful cabin for relaxing weekend

Cabin was great, back deck was amazing! Weather was perfect, fish were biting! We’ll be back next year!

Paradise on the river

Peaceful stay in a cabin on the river. Most relaxing stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. Cabin is very nice and well laid out with lots of room

Amazing

We go to the river several times a year and this is by far the best place we’ve stayed at. The host was amazing and checked in with us regularly to make sure we were good and had zero issues. Will definitely be back.

Fishing the Spring River at Shipp's Landiing

The property host, Catelin, was excellent! The cabin is very nice and has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Our 4 day stay was centered around fishing. We caught several trout and smallmouth bass. We are already talking about staying and this oasis on the spring river again.

The owners were very kind and helpful from the very beginning. Being this was our first time ever staying at any kind of rented cabin/home, they made it easy. I'm very outdoorsy and enjoy seclusion and this fit the bill. While off the beaten path a little I appreciated that. It was for my wife and I's 26th Anniversary and I wanted to surprise her with a getaway but with one that I could enjoy as well. She was very pleased with my choice. The cabin is very cozy and quaint but still has a serene comfort with the gas log fireplace, or the large deck overlooking the river with the relaxing sound of the water. Steps leading right down to the waters edge allowed fishing although we didn't manage to catch anything. We found ourselves mostly listening to Praise & Worship music on the sound system, and playing games and enjoying each others conversation and time away together. The trains across the river might seem like an annoyance to some, but brought back memories of my wife and I's first house together when we lived in Nebraska that was much closer to the tracks than this cabin. We didn't make use of the kayaks provided as was concerned with the water temperature with the nights dipping into the 40's during our stay. All in all was a very memorable experience and would be delighted to stay with them again in the future!

One of the best

Unfortunately, we arrived just after a LARGE rainstorm and wet Spring. The cabin is nestled 10-15 minutes deep into dirt backroads and we were blocked by a massively flooding creek that prevented us from reaching the cabin. I contacted the host(Caitlyn) that we wouldn’t be able to reach the cabin that day. She immediately responded and promptly refunded us for the night AND refunded us for an ADDITIONAL night. I genuinely felt she understood the situation we were in with 3 little kids and took every step she could to rectify the situation and give us a positive outcome. She went above and beyond on this one. Once reaching the cabin the following day, it was everything I expected and more. I’m more familiar w/ cabins on VRBO that are stripped down rentals with nothing inside. No washer/dryer, fire pits or wood, or outdoor ‘toys’. This cabin is the exact opposite of that. It felt more like staying at a cabin of an immediate family member or close friend. They provided us access to everything they outfitted the cabin with for themselves. I cannot not express my gratitude enough for this feature and is the top reason why I will return as often as I can. Thanks for the great week Caitlyn! Pros - Empathetic and responsive host - Clean and great ‘cabin’ feel. AWESOME deck and views. - Well stocked house (tubes, kayaks, firewood, grills, washer/dryer) - Creek and river access - Safe and clean neighborhood community - Fiber with WIFI

This Spring river cabin retreat is one of the most secluded and peaceful cabins I have had the pleasure of renting. The house is fully stocked and the huge deck overlooking the river is its very own selling point. With plenty of room to stretch out inside and outside, we also enjoyed the river itself with a bit of swimming and fishing. I will say that crossing the river at the bottom of the steps to get to shallower water is a bit treacherous. There are huge rocks beneath the water that can quickly knock you off balance in the current, but if you go slow and take your time, it’s well worth it. Besides swimming for fun, we caught several smallmouth bass and goggle eye during our stay. The only cons that I have to point out to anyone planning to stay here are the gravel roads to get here, and the trains. You MUST drive slowly! There are quite a few big rocks jutting out of the roadway and it’s rough. Again, not an issue if you drive slowly. Across the river from the cabin are train tracks. We counted 10 trains one evening coming and going— some at 1:30 and 2:00 in the morning. It wasn’t an issue for us but might be for someone. I would recommend Shipp’s Landing to anyone who is looking for off the beaten path lodging!
