Beautiful, Comfortable & Clean Home

One of the best vacation rental properties we have stayed at. Very clean and comfortable. Hosts were great and provided quality service. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Gainesville. Huge yard and plentiful parking too.

Perfect Location to UF

All in all, we were very pleased with the property and its location. There are many restaurants and grocery stores nearby and a perfect distance to the university. An added surprise was the beautiful back yard to sit out and visit.

Great stay!

The White House is one of the best, if not, the best short-term rental places in which I have ever stayed. Excellent home, communication with owners, comfort, cleanliness, etc. Super comfortable! Huge back porch and yard. Top to bottom, a great house! We would definitely stay here again! hirecommended?

Fabulous location, Great home!

The White House is a wonderfully restored home. The entire inside is all NEW, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, etc. You will be thrilled with this property! I will rent again on my next visit to Gainesville.

Wonderful!

We stay in Gainesville at least once a year to visit family and the White House is by far the best rental we’ve stayed in. The house was sparkling clean, the neighborhood was safe and convenient to everything, the kids loved the huge backyard, incredibly well appointed kitchen (that island!!!), and the the extra touches (games, toiletries, throw blankets) made us fall in love with the place. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Our home away from home

My husband is undergoing cancer treatment at Shands. We are so grateful to have found the White House. It is beautifully updated inside, but maintains a warm, cozy feeling that makes you feel right at home. Heaven sent!

The White House did not disappoint. Everything you need is there in the house. Great location, minutes from the University and any shopping you need to do. Nice size property where your neighbors aren’t on top of you. Love the option to rent the RV as well.

Gator Growl Success

Great property for central spot to cook for our son & his roomates while watching tv games on a sunday. Amazing master bath was so spacious & exactly like photos. Bob ensured the grill was cleaned and ready for us! Were able to enjoy smores in fire pit since weather dropped. Looking forward to Next trip!

Best decision ever!

We stayed at the White House on and off for a period of 6 weeks while my husband was undergoing treatment at Shands. Our warm and cozy White House was the perfect refuge to come back to after treatment. The house has all of the charm and warmth of an older house with all of the amenities of a new one. It is close to the hospital, restaurants and shops, but the big lot and the peaceful setting make you feel like you are far away from it all. We did not have any issues at all, and the property owners were attentive and ready to assist with anything we might need. We hope to be able to use again in the future, hopefully for a more fun visit, like some good old Gator football!

Just What I Needed!

After a stressful period by my mother's bedside, I was looking for a relaxing home to stay in when my family arrived for her funeral, preferably in a safe, low traffic area with which I was familiar. Carol and her house was a Godsend! She was so kind and personable, offering some accommodations for our circumstances. If you need anything, don't be afraid to call her. This immaculate home has a cozy cottage feel with an amazing, well-equipped, modern kitchen and updated bathrooms. Everything we needed to be comfortable and to cook for a group was provided. Top-of-the-line appliances and plenty of cookware and dishes for a crowd are provided, as well as plenty of linens. There are plenty of places to sit and chairs that can be moved from the porch to the main living room, as needed, or you can use the porch as a spot to get away from everyone. It was the perfect location for cousins to drop by for dinner or to hang out. We did not have a chance to use the fire pit, but we did take advantage of the gas grill one night. Everyone who dropped by to see us was impressed with the home. A bonus for me was that it was so tastefully decorated to feel like a home, not a timeshare or a hotel, which is my usual experience. It was the balm I needed at the time, and I would love stay there again when I come to visit my brother who lives in Gainesville.

Quiet location close to everything

This was a clean and comfortable property and the owners put a lot of thought into those little things that made it a relaxing stay and stress-free stay. When I corresponded to confirm how we access the property, I mentioned that we'd be cooking a couple of dishes to take to Thanksgiving. The owners let us know where nearby grocery stores were. Additionally, the house was well stocked for cooking - we had everything we needed from a mixer to baking dishes to measuring cups. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for everyone including a Florida room where I would go to have my coffee each morning.

Perfect Getaway

This property is first class in every way. Everything was upgraded from the fire pit, grill, cookware, cutlery, appliances, linen’s etc.. If you needed something it was there. The house was incredible. Comfortable beds, great showers/bathrooms, TV’s everywhere and the enclosed porch and large kitchen island were perfect for catching up with friends and family. If that is not enough the owners were incredible to work with. I give it a 12 out of 10 stars.

Beautiful Property!

This property was very clean with excellent appliances! The location is quiet but close to all that Gainesville has to offer. Carol and Bob were awesome and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed as Hurricane Ian approached! The house has games and space for all ages. We would highly recommend staying here if you are travelling to Gainesville or the surrounding area.

Beautiful home that is perfect for game days!

This property was perfect!! We came into town for work and for the USF vs UF game. So happy we found this property instead of staying in a hotel close by. Very beautiful newly updated home and is close too everything. Really enjoyed staying here and will definitely stay here again if USF ever plays at the Swamp again. The host Carol was great and very responsive.

Charming home

This home was spotless and incredibly well stocked. Hosts were super responsive and helpful. The home was less than 10 minutes from UF and so convenient to everything. Absolutely lovely to stay here!

Old House Charm meets Modern Amenities

We loved this home. The cottage style with the updated kitchen and bathrooms was wonderful. The large lot with the big trees made it feel like we were not in the middle of a big town. The location was convenient to everything we needed. The host was responsive, accommodating and available, everything you want from a host. We will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Gainesville.
