Beautiful location for porch-sitting, looking at the lake and enjoying sunsets. House is comfortable and well-equipped, owner was extremely responsive and helpful, and there are tons of things to do either west (Geneva, Madison and Geneva-on-the-Lake), east (Ashtabula and recommend the harbor) or south (wineries everywhere). Highly recommend and a great place to rewind, recharge and relax.

Great stay

The house was updated and very clean; a comfortable stay. The process for checking in was easy with excellent communication. Loved the view from the top deck!

The house was all we could ask for location quiet clean and all the amenities sadly the weather wasn’t the best but we had a great relaxation thank you !!

Peaceful retreat

We had a wonderful stay here! The house has a great view of the water, was in driving distance to all the attractions we planned to see, but was also a quiet place to relax. Amenities were updated and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Nice spot, nice view, easy process.

Nice property. There are other houses closer to the Lake but view was still nice and you don't notice u less you walk out towards lake. Nice layout of house. Would visit again.

Little lake house

Very clean, very quiet. One of the most relaxing spots we have stayed at the lake. Enjoyed the upper deck in the mornings with our coffee. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had great meals in Ashtabula and enjoyed ice cream on the strip! Would recommend.

Well-kept, waterfront property. Quiet neighborhood. Only down side was no access to water-needed to drive to beach or walking path along water.

House by the lake

An absolutely immaculate rental home. Beautiful view of the lake and gorgeous sunsets. Owners thought of any need a renter might need with amenities. Only issue was getting code to unlock key to get in and when we were ready to leave. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Good stay for a birthday wine tour

Check in process was a little difficult. There is not great service in the area until you get on the wifi. There is a security camera inside the house pointing towards the front door that we weren't aware of and it was not mentioned on the listing. Rooms were okay. They both had outboard air conditioning units. There were some insects that were getting into the house that weren't aware of so we weren't confident that the rooms were cleaned properly. The view of the lake was pretty and you would be able to launch kayaks from where you were staying if you were careful. Within 15-20 minutes of the main wineries in the area and 10 minutes from the beach.

Getaway

The home had all the amenities stated. Beautiful lake view. Loved patio and balcony. Everything clean and nice. Very comfortable furniture and bed. Misleading with the two queen beds. They were bunk beds and two of our party unable to go to top bunk so had to sleep together. Otherwise we had a lovely time.

Perfect house and location

I was very impressed with the house from the moment we walked inside. It is immaculate and well-maintained. There are a slew of extra convenience items. The owners thought of everything from baby gates to wine openers. The location was easy to access and as described. Communication was quick, easy and friendly. The view is outstanding and the drive into GOTL was quick and easy. I will share that the king bed is very soft. I tend to prefer a firm mattress but it was still comfortable and I slept well during our visit. Thanks for the great experience.

Mom's/Son's Getaway

Great weekend to get the cousins/family together! Nice quiet location. The kids enjoyed fishing and the water (even though it was cold) - access to the water was a little rough due to erosion, (rocky and not really a easy access) but view was beautiful. House was very clean, comfy beds and well stocked - firepit, grill and porches to hang out on and chill. Close to Geneva-on-the-lake (old school/retro town) with arcades and mini-putt and plenty of shops/eats on the strip. Felt like we made a trip back in time. We enjoyed the golf, wineries and zip line adventure - a must do! Christian was very available and communicative - check in super easy. Recommend for sure!

Excellent

This house is on the small side, but perfectly fine for our family of four. It is clean, warm and inviting. The beds and bedding were super comfy. Everything was in perfect condition, and the ginormous spa bathtub was lovely! Lots of outdoor seating and a great location on the lake sitting central between Ashtabula Harbor and Geneva-On-the-Lake. Our only complaint would be that an old beat up pick-up truck was parked across the way, very much obscuring our view. It stayed parked during our entire stay and is quite an eyesore. Oh, and the next door neighbors have dogs that bark constantly when they're outside...kind of annoying, but not much you can do. Otherwise, we really really loved this place and would definitely stay here again. Check-in and all communication was super easy. Highly recommend.

We gave this property 4 stars because of a couple things. When first arriving it was very hard to find which road/drive to pull into. The sign is not super big or lit up. The road/drive also has many deep potholes going to the house. We got to the house around 10pm and when we got there the A/C was not on so it was very warm inside. I suggest if you go to this property to get there at check in time, 4pm, so you can turn the air on and get it cooled down by the time you go to bed. Otherwise, the house was very nice and clean. We had great communications with the property owner as they responded right away to our responses when we reached out. Had no issues otherwise.

Girls Weekend

First time up at GOTL. We had an amazing time! The owner was awesome with communication and was very helpful leading up to, during, and on check out day. They have a beautiful place that is close to stores and the strip in Geneva. The kitchen has everything you would need. We definitely look forward to another stay here and will be recommending this to family and friends!

First Time to Area

House was very nice, very clean & well stocked with essentials. View of the lake was beautiful and sunsets spectacular. Got some great pics. An eagle flew right over us one day. Host was very nice and helpful. Had a great time & would definitely stay here again.

Cottage on the Lake

We really enjoyed our weekend at Christian's cottage a couple of weeks ago. The house was great, we spent a lot of time on the front porch with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Check-in was very easy, Christian was very responsive to a couple of questions we had. We'll definitely be back!
