Colorful family house in the country: for a large or two family friends

Hello, dear family (s)!
First, let me introduce a little bit: my name is Blue Cottage. This is because my owner and her family (3 children, 1 husband, 1 dog) have colored all my windows and shutters blue. (By the way, did you know that "blue" in Slovenian does not mean "sad" - as in English - but "wise"?) So I think it was very wise on the part of my owner not to have Wi-Fi installed in me. She believes that what makes a home (or vacation home) at home is that you either talk to each other or stare at fire (or stars) in silence.
And she believes in books. That is why she also provided me with a shelf with some good old paper books in English, Russian and German.
And she loves children. That's why I also have a lot of toys and table games and a trampoline and bright colors.
Behind me is an old barn that has turned it into a kind of peaceful reading corner for the (exhausted parents) that you can enjoy while your children release their extra energy on the nearby trampoline ...
As you can see in the picture, I am a really old house, actually I am over 100 years old. So I can rightly be called "wise". :) My owner is doing her best in her creative way to make me happy and preserve my dignity, but despite all efforts, she couldn't hide many wrinkles on my face. She never wanted to make me perfect, but she keeps me warm, dry and well fed by her loving energy and by many guests who keep coming back to enjoy my old, but also a bit childish and playful company.
I am not very tall, so if you are more than 5, you have to like each other a lot, because the small bathroom and the small kitchen may seem a little tight in this case. The garden outside is very, very large and there are enough beds for 8 people - even if they sometimes argue (quite normal event in the Verien!), they will survive.

Surrounded by a beautiful garden, with a hammock under the wild cherry tree, an open fireplace in the middle, a wonderful view of the valley and large green pastures, where sometimes sheep sit around, a forest and nice older neighbors (a couple, unfortunately, none Speaks foreign language), I think I am the happiest and most grateful Blue Cottage in Slovenia.
If you like me so far, just drop by to meet me in person, but watch out for the danger: you may not want to leave me again! :)

But when you've had enough of me (well, everyone needs a little space now and then!), you can always jump into a car and drive to the blue Adriatic Sea in 2 hours, or to the beautiful Alps in 1 hour, or in 45 minutes to the most beautiful city in the world - the capital: Ljubljana. Or in 15 minutes in Golte: hiking in summer and skiing in winter! Lake Velenje (ideal for swimming) is 20 minutes away and a beautiful health resort Topolščica is only 1/2 hour. away.

Access for guests

I was built on a small hill by the forest, a 10 minute walk to a small lake (more like a pond), ideal for walking around but not suitable for swimming. There is also a river nearby, and many trails offer great hiking opportunities, so you don't just have to lie in a hammock or read books. But if you prefer air on the fixed terrain, you can also try paragliding from the nearby hill, and my owner's husband, himself an avid paraglider, can arrange it for you.
Skiing in winter is another option. The ski slope / a great hiking area Golte is only 15 minutes away by car.
Swim? Well, no swimming pool in my garden. But the nearest spa and wellness center is only half an hour's drive away.
The famous beer fountain in Žalec is also only 20 minutes away!
Otherwise there is a large basket with lots of cards and additional tips in my kitchen. And my owner is really helpful, so if you ask her, she will be happy to help you with more information.

Interaction with guests

If possible, we'd like to meet our guests soon after arrival to personally welcome them and give them tips on what to see. Most of the time, however, you will be able to enjoy the privacy and tranquility you need to easily relax and unwind from the rest of the world during your vacation.

Other important information

Bed linen and a towel per person are provided.
Pets are welcome, but not more than one, and we ask that you keep them away from beds and sofas to keep the space clean.
Please, don't smoke in the house.
