Quiet pet friendly 2 bedroom with 1 and 1/2 bath located in the historical town of Vernon Florida. 2 minutes from The Last Livery where kayaking excursions are available as well as a small boat ramp, park and bbq grills for its patrons. 20 minutes and you can be gaming in the gaming facilities of Ebro. 45 minutes and you can have your toes in the sand at Panama City Beach or you can just cozy up on the deck overlooking Holmes Creek and watch the sunset as the fire blazes in your huge fire pit.

Great creek house!

Already looking at our schedules so we can come back! The back yard is amazing for grilling, building a fire, docking your boat, and enjoying the view! The boat launch is really close. The creek is beautiful!

Surprising Find

The listing was quite a surprising find! Our stay in Vernon was great. While not luxurious it was definitely comfortable and way more than we expected. Check in es super easy and neighborhood was quiet.

I love this place it was very peaceful with river in the backyard to go fishing or swimming. It was big enough for me and my husband and are teenagers. When we come back i will rent this place aging worth the money.

Awesome weekend on the Creek!

We had a great time staying at the property. The home was clean and everything we needed was available. We spent the day paddling the creek which was an easy drive to launch. In the evening we had a crab boil and grilled on the back porch. Many family memories were made this weekend, thank you for sharing your home with us! We would love to return :)

Comfy house

My adult boys and I enjoyed our stay at this house. It was my first time to rent a VBRO. It is a much older house but it was clean. Although it rained on us the entire trip we enjoyed the back yard and outdoor grill to cook on. You can walk across the street to Family Dollar which was very convenient.

The first time we went was amazing Then we went again and there were a lot of dead roaches. Didn’t seem like the sheets were changed. There is a mark on the sheets and the mark was still there. But overall for the price it’s alright. Will look around there for other properties

Definitely will book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. The owners were wonderful and responded to all questions and messages quickly and were so kind! Our little dogs loved the back yard and we felt safe allowing them to roam around inside the fence. We built a fire in the fire pit and made smores, even went down on the dock to fish. It's a bit of a steep climb down but there's a nice platform and fish were jumping everywhere. This home has everything you need to have a stress free, home away from home, relaxing vacation. I have to say, we have never stayed at a VRBO with kinder owners. You can tell that they really put a lot of thought and effort into making sure their guests have what they need and enjoy themselves. Thank you guys so much for having us! Our family cannot wait to book with you again.

Property was old and tired

Kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances but there is definitely room for improvement overall. Problem with various doors locking & staying locked. King room door would not shut. Kitchen door had glass panel missing. Lump of wood fixed to floor near bedrooms was a trip hazard. Bolts sticking out near front door also a hazard. Yard could have been lovely but was neglected and covered in limbs and leaves. Table was dirty and chairs were rusty. We were unable to sit outside. A/C & heat were very efficient. Dryer had to be replaced but didn’t arrive until 2 days before we left.

Not as expected

Unfortunately the home was not a 5 start vacation rental. It was not up to our standard of cleanliness. It is an old home which okay however the wiring was also old and extension cords used throughout - some of which were frayed. There were no smoke detectors in the home either (since our complaints the owner did install). There were dead bugs through the home (even though they said they cleaned that morning). Ultimately we decided not to stay in the home because the safety of wiring and uncleanliness. It was definitely not the expected "vacation" home we thought we rented.

Weekend Trip

Property faced the back of a dollar general store with a septic retention pond across from the property driveway. The rental property was across the street from low income housing and there was an abandoned car parked in the property. The entire backyard wood decking was completely rotten and the stairs down to the dock were rotted thru and unstable. There was a small loft area leading to an attic access door that was not blocked off and was full of trash and construction debris and a mounted deer head just thrown into the loft. We had our boys avoid that area completely. The overall condition of the property was total disrepair. The kitchen faucet handle fell off when we first arrived and my husband had to fix it just so we could use the kitchen sink. I would not recommend this property for a vacation rental as we felt it was not worth the money spent for such a poor experience.

Home was so nicely decorated and very clean. Communication with host was excellent.

Will definitely be staying here again. Was so impressed with the little extras that were provided. Salt, pepper, extra paper towels, even laundry detergent ( Altho we brought our own). We left a few things that others can use also. So relaxing and nice. Hope to do this again. Thank you for everything.

Lovely home

This property is in a great location. We were within 40 minutes to Fl Caverns State Park, Falling Waters State Park and Panama City Beach. It was very quiet, clean and we loved the fire pit in the backyard. It was cold enough in the evenings to enjoy a fire. We plan to visit the area again early next year and we plan to stay at this same property.

Super Cute and clean. Backyard is amazing!

The house sits back off the road and has plenty of parking and privacy. The backyard is privacy fenced and the deck overlooking the water is nice place to sit and enjoy some outside time. The house is really nice and the kitchen is large with everything you could ever want. The beds are comfortable. It even has the little extras to make your stay enjoyable like streaming channels on the TV. We really enjoyed our visit. Will stay again.
