The small hamlet Bjärdakken, where your holiday home stands, has only three permanent residents and is located 18 km outside the village of Sorsele on the wild river "Vindelälven". The approximately 1.5 ha large meadow land is surrounded by forest and accessible via the side road 363. The fish-rich river is at this point about two kilometers wide and offers the best conditions for boating, swimming and fishing.
When furnishing and equipment, we have paid special attention to the well-being of our guests without neglecting the rural character. After your adventures in the fantastic nature of Lapland you can end the day with a good book in the cozy sofa corner. For sleeping, a four-poster bed full of Lapland dreams awaits you.
The cabin is self catering, meaning you have a fully functional kitchenette with fridge, cooker and sink. (On request, breakfast for 100.-SEK / person. or dinner for 250.-SEK / person. to be booked with us). In the bathroom hub the bedroom is shower and toilet.
The construction was kept in the style of the Nordic tradition. The main building material used was fir and pine trees, which were felled in the northern Scandinavian forests and worked on in local craft workshops. The interiors are environmentally friendly heated by geothermal heat, which guarantees a comfortable temperature in almost all seasons. However, the real Lapland feeling only comes up when the fire crackles in the chimney and its flickering glow spreads out in the hut. Therefore, we have installed a wood stove in the house for the 'cuddle factor' and for particularly cold winter days.
The green roof keeps it cool even in summer temperatures - which can even reach 30 ° C in Lapland.
The house is highly recommended for family vacationers but also for individual tourists and couples.
What is included in the price?
All business expenses such as electricity, water, sewage, waste disposal, firewood for the fireplace. Furthermore you will receive bed linen and towels from us.

What is not included in the price?
Your catering, boat rental, transfer and other services. For the final cleaning we charge SEK 350.- For pets SEK 75.- per pet and day.
The cottage has wireless internet (40 SEK per 24 h).

The surroundings of Sorsele with its rivers and countless lakes is one of the best fishing grounds in Northern Scandinavia. Here you can fish for game fish such as salmon, trout, grayling and char. But also pike, perch and whitefish (large whitefish) are more often on the hook. For hikers in the summer and autumn, the surrounding mountains and the vast landscape of fells are both adventure and nature experience. Here you can watch reindeer, moose and eagles. With a little luck you can meet a bear. In the winter months, the surroundings are full of snow-covered forests and the typical tranquility of the north. At this time of year, the northern lights are particularly intense. Now is the time for snowshoe, ski and dog sled tours. A special winter experience is our guided snowmobile safaris into the untouched landscape of the fells. Alpine skiing and snowboarding, on the other hand, our Nalovardo ski area offers downhill fun of all levels on several pistes. The ski area is only 4 km away from your holiday home.
For your summer or winter tours in the wilderness of Lapland, we recommend the guided tour by our mountain and wilderness guide Joachim. He was educated in Sweden, knows the region and can tell you a lot about the history of the north and the Sami culture.
