I haven't felt unsafe or heard any crimes in the area because they just in need of food, money and shelter. Regarding the hallway scent, we appreciate you mentioning it—this is due to the natural wood stain used in restoring the original 1910 hardwood floors, which some guests may notice but is completely safe. Apologize for any inconvenience during your stay. the building had experienced an uptick of party goers during the pandemic because bars were closed and Texas was one of only states that allowed people outside their homes. We have worked very hard with the building managers and city of Dallas to install measures to stop this from happening again. I can confirm today that the smoking issue has been put under control and the owners have invested $100,000 to improve the ventilation system.
