Raylin Farmhouse Mohican Area Vacation Rental Pet-Friendly!

I am a retired RN. I invested in this property to start my second career, as a vacation rental host. I love being able to provide a place where people can reconnect with family and friends and create special memories.

The original house was built in 1902. When the Army Corp of Engineers wanted to build Pleasant Hill Lake in the Muskingham Watershed, many houses in the town of Newville were relocated to higher ground. I was told by the previous owner that the house was moved from the flood plain twice in the 1930’s. I loved the location and the history of the house and thought it would be a great vacation rental for the Mohican Area. I renovated and remodeled the house. I added a wrap around porch, so views from all sides of the house could be enjoyed I recently added a barn, with an open side for covered outdoor dining for a large group and an indoor area, for games, such as ping ping, board games, cards, and cornhole.. The close proximity of Pleasant Hill Lake, farm ground and wooded areas lends itself to numerous wildlife. MWSD has a placed an Osprey Nest Platform directly in front of the house and at certain times, numerous Osprey can be seen soaring over the property.

Great place for family and friends to gather for a special occasion or just to relax. Easy assess and close to many popular areas in the Mohican area.
