When we first got there, the entry code did not work. After finally getting in touch with the property owner, I was able to access a key around back. Not the worst thing, but this is where it starts. We booked the room for 2 nights. Upon entry, I quickly realized we were not staying in the same unit posted on Vrbo. The pictures that were advertised showed a cozy, private room with a kitchenette, microwave, and table. We weren’t planning on spending a lot of time in the room, but we did bring food with us that we were expecting to be able to heat up comfortably in the room and sit and eat. This was not the case. The room was also not private. It had a door separating 2 units. We stayed in unit 4. Unit 3 had some teenagers staying in it who decided they wanted to stay up all night. The first night we asked them to keep it down. The second night was even worse with them yelling and slamming the doors constantly. The entire building shook. The door that separates the 2 units was not built to code and you could see through to the other units through all sides of the door with only a lock in the middle keeping it closed. The pictures advertised showed a nice upkept unit. Unit 4 had broken flooring throughout the unit and bathroom and paint peeling and bubbling off of the walls. The only defense I can say is that the property was cheap enough, but I still feel like I somehow overpaid.. I added pics I took and pics from the ad. Tl;dr? I got the bait and switch
