Sweetums Guest House is a private and beautifully appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bath guest house located on a peaceful 20-acres ranch. Views of Three Sisters and Broken Top mountains from the property, horses, wildflowers and abundant wildlife. Just 8 miles to downtown Bend and 12 miles to Sisters. 45-minute drive to Mt Bachelor Ski Resort/snow parks and mountain trailheads. Large private yard and partially covered patio with private hot tub, views, wildlife. Amazing seasonal salt water swimming pool, tennis court, hammock, corn hole game. On the Oregon scenic bike route. A perfect location for your vacation!

The main living area is an open-concept living/dining and kitchen area with a cozy wood-burning stove, large, flat-screen TV and DVD. The large master bedroom has a king bed with attached full bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed and attached full bath with high thread count luxury linens, shampoo, conditioner, soap and hairdryers. Each bedroom has a full closet. Each bath has beautiful Italian ceramic tile and granite counter tops. There is a washer & dryer with laundry soap provided. For your first morning we provide a continental breakfast consisting of scones, yogurt, and our own farm fresh eggs (uncooked).

Relax on the patio with views of the natural surroundings. The patio - great for wildlife viewing - has Adirondack rocking chairs, an umbrella table and chairs, a gas grill and private hot tub - wonderful for stargazing. The tennis court is just steps away, as well as a gorgeous solar-heated salt water swimming pool with mountain views mid-May-Sep, weather dependent. Tennis racquets, balls and pool/spa towels are provided. Guests are can explore the property, enjoy the views (and babbling stream from mid-Apr-Sep. Bike right from the property on the Oregon Scenic Bicycle Route through the beautiful high desert ranch area with breathtaking mountain views. Several horseback riding facilities are nearby. All this and be just minutes from both charming downtown Bend and Sisters (restaurants, brewpubs, shopping), with easy access to all the outdoor activities that Central Oregon has to offer: hiking, biking, river rafting, SUP, kayaking, rock climbing, horseback riding, skiing, snowshoeing, etc.

Once again, our stay at the Sweetums Guest House was wonderful! We had all the information we needed for check-in and check-out. Tracy stopped by shortly after our arrival to welcome us. The house was clean and comfortable and offered every amenity as listed in the description. My favorite things about the house: 1. Location - The house is a part of a larger property with the main home, horse pens, chickens, etc., yet it never feels like anyone is invading anyone else's privacy. Also, the property is so quiet and peaceful yet is so conveniently close to the highway. 2. Wildlife - Beyond the penned horses and chickens, deer meander through daily, kindly stopping to pose for pics. Birds flit about and squirrels keep themselves busy among the trees.This is such a lovely place for a getaway. There are many things to do a short drive away, but there is enough to do on the property that one really doesn't need to leave. I would recommend the Sweetums Guest House to everyone.

The property was gorgeous and the house was very cozy and clean. The hot tub was immaculate as well and they had a hammock in the yard. It was perfect for stargazing at night. The horses on the property were friendly and I was even able to pet a couple of them! Wouldn't hesitate to book again :)

The stay was a perfect getaway for a wedding trip out in Bend, OR. The directions to get there were easy and clear. Communication from Tracy was excellent. She treated us when we arrived. My in-laws talked with her and Bill and had nothing but good things to say. I wish I found time to get out to meet and chat with them myself more than my greeting on arrival.

Peaceful and Beautiful!

We loved our stay at Sweetums! The guesthouse is comfortable and cute with all the amenities. The whole family loved the outside dining area and enjoyed the pool. Tracy and Bill are outstanding hosts.

Turns out I AM a little bit country

Wow, what a fantastic way to end our 3 week road trip. We had a fantastic stay at Sweetums Guesthouse. The location is perfection!! We live in a busy part of Portland and being able to stay on a small ranch where we can pet some horses, cluck at the the chickens, and see the new calf’s frolicking in the pasture was such just a treat. The guest house is well equipped for a very comfortable stay (mattress in the king bed room was so comfortable). The views from the living room were fantastic, and soaking in the hot tub under a clear star filled night was pure magic. Kitchen has everything you need if you want to do some cooking as we did including some oil and spices. We appreciate the fresh eggs and breakfast treats that Tracy left us at check in. And the wood stove helped with the chill in the evening. We will definitely stay here again and tell our friends about it.

Wonderful stay

We've stayed at a lot of VRBOS. Weve stayed at many Bend locations. The service, reservation process, communication by the owner were exceptional. The house was very nice, with a quality view, and well appointment. And all the firewood we could've possibly used. Did I mention the friendly horses? They were wonderful to "chat" with and scratch. Location was ideal, set between Bend and Sisters. Will certainly make this as a favorite especially for next summer.

Charming and cozy country guest house

We stayed for a week in the Fall and absolutely loved it. The expansive view, nature walks and horses and chickens gave us a wonderful taste of farm life. The guest house was well equipped with firewood, and all the comforts of home. Great location, close by to Bend and Tumalo - but nice and quiet.

Comfortable and Peaceful

The Sweetums Ranch guest house is the perfect place to relax after hiking and exploring the Bend, Oregon area. The guest house is strategically located to offer guests privacy, yet allows them access to a swimming pool and tennis court. And very quiet at night as the property sits well back from the nearest road. Tracy and Bill are wonderful hosts and are very accommodating.

Oregon high desert is heaven on earth. Add to your awe of central Oregon by staying here. Quite serinity doesn’t describe this property and everything about it will calm every frayed nerve in your life. Wish we could’ve stayed for a month! Enjoy.

Wonderful country home in Bend

This was a great property and some of the best communication I have had with property owner in my many VRBO stays around the US. The use of Hot Tub, pool and tennis courts is a great bonus. The home is very well equipped with comfortable furniture and beds. The views of Sisters and surrounding mountains is great. Very centrally located for exploring central Oregon.

Amazing!

The Sweetums Guest house is absolutely amazing! It is nestled amongst the trees and is located in a very quiet and private setting. The hot tub was very relaxing and the pool and tennis courts are just a stones throw away. The inside is spacious and has everything you need. It is well maintained, clean and cute. We definitely plan on staying here again in the near future.

amazing family vacation

The guest house and property made for one of our best family vacations yet. We loved playing tennis on the full size court, swimming in the picturesque pool, walking the trail on the property and visiting with the animals. The inside of the house was comfortable and well suited for a family. Beds were very comfortable. The owners were friendly, responsive and kind. We would love to return.

Sheer Heaven

This is our third stay at the Sweetums Ranch Guest House, our home away from the world when we make our annual trek to attend the Stitchin’ Post Quilters Affair classes and Sisters Outdoor Show. My sister and I look forward to this week together at the Guest House all year long. Tracy and Bill are wonderful hosts who we now think of as friends. The property is immaculate and well stocked with anything you need. The hosts respect privacy while also being available as needed. This is a week of pure bliss for my sister and I, a recovery spot from each year’s challenges and celebrations. See you next year!

Spacious, delightful home for a relaxing holiday

This detached house is set on beautiful, quiet, rural acreage with horses and chickens. While we didn’t use the extra amenities of hot tub, tennis court and swimming pool, they looked amazing and I wish we had more time to enjoy them. The home is clean, spacious and well stocked for 2-4 people. The location was perfect - close to all our activities. Tracy was easy to reach and very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful country retreat!

Very clean, cute and quiet! Very peaceful location not too far from activities. Would stay here again! Scones and yogurt were a nice treat for our early morning start.

Great value

This was a comfortable place in the country side very conveniently located between sisters and bend. Stayed in December so weren’t able to take advantage of the pool or tennis court but the hot tub was lovely. Comfy beds and lots of wood for the wood stove which was a cozy way to heat the house. Otherwise the little wall heaters need to be used which are a bit noisy. The only improvements I can suggest are to have a lock box with the key on the door so we don’t have to communicate about time of arrival or departure, and a tv/sound bar remote that is more user friendly. Overall a pleasant stay. We will be back!

Peaceful and cozy retreat

Enjoyed our stay. Celebrated our anniversary by doing some Christmas shopping/eating in downtown Bend. Wanted a place to stay that would be quiet and this was just the place. The wood burning stove gave the cozy feels I was hoping for during this time of year along with a Christmas tree all lit up and decorated.

After living in Chicago and pursuing our careers for many years, we chose to move to Central Oregon for all of the outdoor activities right out our door, and for a more peaceful lifestyle. We are thrilled to be living in Tumalo - rural, private, quiet and lovely, yet with close proximity to Bend, Sisters, Mt. Bachelor and as much outdoor activity you can dream of having. And in spring, summer, and early fall a river even runs through it!

We are a couple living in the main ranch house (separate structure) on the property with our two friendly labradoodles, horses and chickens. The guest house is away from the main house and sited in a way that affords privacy for our guests.

Typically we will great our guests after check in, be available to answer questions and provide recommendations for our favorite hikes, restaurants and things to do. Guests can interact with us as much or as little as preferred, are welcome to join us for our feeding of the animals and egg collecting.

We love being in Central Oregon at the Sweetums Ranch and enjoy sharing this amazing place with our guests.
