Big 8 Lodge

This ozy Adirondack cabin sleeps four. It offers a spiral staircase that will lead you to a loft bedroom that has two full size beds.
There is a full kitchen with all the amenities of home, a dining area and the best living room with a woodstove and T.V. to cozy up and watch movies on a brisk day. There is a full bathroom, and a stunning screened in porch.

The side yard has a dining area and private firepit with lights strung throughout the trees for a beautiful campfire night. Take a walk down the path to your private deck along the banks of Otter Creek. You can enjoy your morning coffee, read a book and enjoy the sound of the water flowing.

The village has many small roads for you to venture on peaceful walks or rent an E Bike and explore our various screenhouses on the property. If you follow the walking roads to the end of the property, we have a large screen house with a vast view of what nature is in the Adirondack Park. This screenhouse is set up for you to grill a meal, enjoy a campfire or just sit and take in the moment.

There are canoes and kayaks you can launch and paddle around in Otter Creek. If you travel one mile up the road you can enjoy our main property, the Trailside Ranch where we have a swimming hole with a dock and pavilion by the waterfalls. This is a great way to cool off on a hot summer day.

Are you looking for adventure? We offer E-Bike rentals & S x S rentals to our guests; you can rent a two passenger UTV or a 5 passenger UTV. We provide helmets, maps and a detailed overview of the trails where you can travel to many restaurants, scenic areas, waterfalls and see the many trails that Lewis County has to offer for recreational outdoor sports.

Our location is peaceful and serene. A place you will surely enjoy in the Adirondacks!

A much needed escape!!

David and Tiffany have to be some of the nicest people I’ve ever met! Their daughter was also a treat! The property was so beautiful and cozy. Our every need was met and we even went into town and EVERYONE WAS NICE! The sound of the creek was sooooo relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Perfect getaway

Property is beautifully set near a river in the mountains. Cabin was cute and cozy! We had an amazing time! Property owners were a pleasure to deal with when needed 😊

Family Trip

We spent a few days exploring this beautiful property and then went to Old Forge Water Safari for a day. We had so much fun walking along the water on all of the rocks. We took the canoe out and had fire each night. The swimming hole was a blast and we enjoyed visiting the horses on the main property! Tiffany and Adam were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Thankyou for the great memories we would love to come back some time!

Cabin in the woods

The Cabin was absolutely perfect for the four of us and our Labradoodles. Everything was exactly as stated, if not better! Tiffany and Adam were amazing hosts and helped us with all of our needs. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Having coffee by the babbling brook was my favorite. We had a fire every day, used the screened in porches and canoe. Renting the side-by-side was definitely worth the thrill!

Great Peaceful Trip

My two daughters and I booked this unit plus hay wagon next store for a special trip together. We had the best time! The units and the area they were in was nothing short of spectacular!! May be the most peaceful setting I’ve been to. Plan to visit again - hosts were also very helpful and answered all our questions promptly.

Private and Secluded

The cabin is very private and away from the road.Otter Creek provides a relaxing setting and we could always hear moving water which was nice! We found the cabin to be very cozy and we loved the layout! We had everything we needed to make meals etc. We loved the loft! Bring pet friendly is a big plus also! .There were good a short distance away In town which was nice. We found lots to do and time went by too quickly! We would return to this beautiful location!

Birthday getaway

Beautiful cabin and property, with very friendly and attentive hosts! The cabin had everything we needed for a quiet, peaceful getaway in the woods. We enjoyed lots of hiking from the ranch to otter lake, and using the canoes in the mornings. The property has a few screened-in seating areas to hang out & enjoy the views - a nice feature. We were happy that we brought our truck, we drove to see the nearby waterfalls which were very pretty -- but could definitely see the appeal of renting the SxS that the host offers....lots of good trails! We had a great time and hope to return!

Peaceful getaway

Tiffany and Adam made sure our stay was absolutely wonderful. The home was peacefully tucked away in the deep woods with a stream babbling just off in the distance. Although we tried we didn't catch much for fish a few smaller ones but none the less enjoyed it. It is an unwinding get away from technology and everyday life. Only thing we would have changed is to bring our SxS for riding all the trails. And perhaps more DVDs to watch at night. The cabin is great and we would highly recommend to escape and unwind from life.

A Perfect Stay

10/10 property with a 10/10 Host. You will not regret booking this property. My wife, our dog, and myself stayed the weekend at this beautiful, cozy cabin tucked away in the Adirondacks for our anniversary. We could not have been happier with our choice. We spent the majority of our time relaxing by/in the creek, but there were plenty of entertainment options available had we felt the need to venture out. The host has thought of absolutely everything. Not once did we find ourselves in need of anything that was not already provided. They are incredibly friendly, but also very respectful of our space. They're also extremely welcoming and gave us a very helpful rundown of the property and all options available to us during our stay. The property is extremely dog-friendly, as there is a ton of space for them to explore and run around. We will definitely be revisiting this property in the future, and may even make it a yearly tradition. I highly encourage anyone and everyone to spend some time here. Truly, no notes. Thanks so much for having us, and we hope to see you again soon.

Peaceful and Amazing

This property was absolutely amazing! I love that it's off in it's own little slice of heaven. Cabin was amazing and we enjoyed our time it in only wish we had more time! Property manager is absolutely amazing as well!

Amazing Cabin!

We had an incredible time here - the cabin was spectacular! We loved being right on the river and exploring the surrounding region. It was great to be deep in the woods with all of the comforts of home. The owner and hosts are incredible, very responsive and helpful. We hope to be back some day!

Adam & Tiffany are your hosts, they live one mile from Fish Camp Village, which is the sister property to our main resort, The Trailside Ranch, which is also one mile from Fish Camp Village.

Their daughter Makena and son-in-law Tyler live on site in the main ranch house. Adam, Tiffany and their two children, Dylan and Makena, started vacationing at the Ranch in 2014. They lived in Pennsylvania and would frequent the Ranch to Snowmobile, ride ATV and enjoy nature. In 2018 they got married in front of the waterfalls at the Ranch. In 2019 they purchased their own home which is two miles from the Ranch. In 2020, the owner of the Ranch offered Adam and Tiffany the opportunity to manage the Trailside Ranch. Taking a leap, they resigned from their full-time jobs in PA and made a lifestyle change to move to the Adirondacks full time. Dylan returned to PA to pursue his career as he had just graduated college. Makena chose to stay in NY and help run the family business. Tyler is a native to upstate NY, more of a city boy, who has adjusted to the country Ranch life quite well. They have 2 horses, Derek and Daisy, that will greet you at the pasture fence daily. Makena is a vet tech with a true passion for animals.

Upon check-in you will meet Tiffany and Adam to say hello and familiarize you with the resort. Their goal is to make everyone who stays here feel like family visiting their home away from home while they enjoy these two amazing properties in the heart of the Adirondacks.

We fell in love with Trailside Ranch because it is a small piece of paradise in the most beautiful setting along the banks of Otter Creek. Situated on a ten acre parcel this resort is surrounded by the pristine 76,000 Wilde life Preserved directly in the Adirondack Park.

The community supports year-round outdoor recreation such as snowmobiling and ATV riding with over 600 miles of trails throughout the county that you can access right from your cabin door. There are beautiful hiking trails, endless waterfalls, kayaking and canoeing.

This little town has a quaint general store and a few Adirondack style restaurants within five miles of your cabin.
Venture a bit further, enjoy a winery with the most beautiful view, local shops with the old town feel, bakeries, butcher markets, fresh produce, it is a town that makes you feel as though you have stepped back in time.

Fish Camp Village was founded by our owner David and his late wife Lori. David grew up in the area with fond memories of family time at his grandfather's hunting camp. When him and Lori married, they bought the Trailside Ranch and built their own waterfront cabin on Otter Creek and named it Fish Camp Village.

Shortly after Adam and Tiffany took over managing Trailside Ranch, with a passion for seeing guests enjoy the property as much as they did, David, Adam and Tiffany decided to build two more cabins near David and Lorie's Fish Camp Cabin. They had many small roads built, hiking paths and screen houses, creating the ultimate tiny village tucked in the woods that will take your breath away while you enjoy the views and beauty of nature.

We are a one stop resort with all the Adventure! Our cabins are located with direct access to ATV and Snowmobile trails. During the summer months, we offer onsite S x S and E bike rentals so you can explore the trails throughout our area. Along the way, you can stop at restaurants, waterfalls and many scenic overlooks.

If you are looking to plan a corporate retreat, family reunion, bachelor or bachelorette party or just a large group vacation! We have the space to accommodate 36 guests in our various cabins.

If you are looking for winter adventure! Bring your snowmobiles or rent one of ours, ask us about guided rides to maximize your time on the trails without the need to read a map and find your way.
