Spacious, three bedroom cottage on beautiful Lake Metonga.

Looking for a nice family get away in beautiful Northern Wisconsin? This spacious 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is located on the east shore of Lake Metonga. The property has a private yard with plenty of room for your favorite outdoor activities. The spectacular views of the lake can be enjoyed from your lounge chair in the yard or from the bench on the private dock. There is 60' of clear, sandy beach frontage for you to swim and enjoy. Lake Metonga is a 2,000+ acre lake, so there is plenty of room for your desired water/recreation activities. You'll enjoy ending your day by sitting around the campfire watching the gorgeous sunsets overlooking the lake. Located on the ATV trail and approximately 3/4 mile from the public boat launch and city beach. Recent updates to the cottage include: paint, new private dock, new carpet, WiFi, Smart TV. Downtown shops, golfing, hiking/biking trails, parks, off road races and casino are minutes from this rustic cabin. Fisherman are welcome as there is enough room for your truck and trailer on the property.

We visit a different Wisconsin body of water every year. The dock was great for our boat. We had fun catching many fish off the dock. The beach area and water is what it’s all about. We brought our kayaks and just left them on the beach. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. Kitchen had just what you needed. The driveway was intimidating at first but plenty of room to park and turn around. The beds were comfortable and the garage / yard was a bonus for games. We really had a great time. It rained a couple times, only suggestion would be a better cloths line available.

Great Cabin for Family Vacation!!!

Cabin was very spacious and very clean! Location was close to beach and lake access was exceptional as well! Hosts were great with communication and even offer fire wood at site!!

Perfect weekend getaway

Beautiful rustic cabin on a great Lake in northern WI. Awesome lake view! They offered all of the amenities that you need, great swimming area, nice fire pit area and plenty of room in the cabin. The trails run right behind the cabin. We will definitely book again if we’re in the area!

We love this spot. My partner has been staying at this location for 40 years. The improvements that have been made are all great and we will be continuing to stay here as long as we can.

Awesome Vacation!

Our family had an amazing time at this property! It is a terrific location just minutes from the grocery store, restaurants, etc. and has a gorgeous view of the lake. The owners are terrific. Extremely kind and accommodating. It was our first vacation blending two families and it was just what we needed. Definitely hope to rent again!

Very nice and clean cottage

Everything was nice except for the weather. Of course as usual the day we left, calm lake and sunny. While we were there, white caps on the lake and cold. We made the best of our time despite the weather

Lake Metonga

Wonderful cottage! Andy and Jodi have retained a cozy "cottagey" feel to the cabin. Beautiful, clean, with a spectacular view of the lake. The grandkids had so much fun swimming, fishing, etc., they did not miss tv or phones... Hope to make this an annual trip!

Great Week

We had a wonderful week! One of us has stayed at this cabin every summer since they were 12 (38 years). The improvements the hosts have made are great, but they have still kept the up north, lake side feel. We want to rent again next year!

21 years of renting

The revamping of the cottage has been great. A few hiccups but nothing serious. The owners have been very helpful and they are great!

Rustic charm and beauty

From the moment we stepped into this rustic beautiful cottage and saw the view of the lake, all the stresses of our everyday life melted away. We saw eagles, loons and a family of ducks on the first day! Our hosts were ready to provide anything we needed and we could not have been happier with our stay! Highly recommend! Oldie but Goodies

Myself and 4 other ladies, all over 65 stayed at this cabin. We had a fun time and Julie was very helpful in anything we needed. The check in process was quick and simple. Any questions I had Julie was quick to answer. Although the weather wasn't nice enough to enjoy the lake, we could still enjoy it from the big window in the cottage. The sleeping arrangements were great. One bathroom and 6 women we found challenging at times but all in all we made due. I would return but maybe later in the summer to enjoy the lake. The owner was very nice and quick to respond to our questions or concerns.

Relaxing family fun!

The house was great! Awesome homey feeling and character. Exactly what we needed. The one great room layout of the kitchen, dining table, and living room made it great for hanging out. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep with 3 nice bedrooms. The one car garage off the back was great for having somewhere for stuff you don't want to leave outside like kayaks, bikes, fishing gear, or our big tube for pulling behind our boat. The dock was long and we tied our boat up for our stay which was awesome for using our boat whenever we wanted without having to use the boat launch every time. The beach area was awesome for the kids and stays shallow a long time which was great for playing, floating on tubes, and using our kayaks. Lake Metonga has clear water and it's nice for swimming. It's a big wide open lake and great for tubing or skiing. We fished some not a lot and caught a few, heard it's good fishing. don has a really nice grocery store, a few ice cream spots and some small town shops to check out. Everything you need is very close and in town. There are a couple nice sandy beaches and playgrounds on the lake if you're looking to leave the house with younger kids. The view of the lake is amazing the way the house sits up from the lake. The fire pit area and flat yard by the house is great for lawn games and grilling out. The house had the things we needed to cook and grill and live like it was our own house. The coffee maker got heavy use haha... The sunrises and sunsets on the lake are incredible and the mornings are very peaceful. If you love 4 wheelers and UTVs the trail goes right behind the house. You don't notice the trail or noise since it sits lower the the yard. We had a blast and loved the small town feel of Crandon. Nice people. Plenty to do close by. There are a bunch of lakes in the area so you could easily hit some other lakes in addition to Lake Metonga if you felt the urge to fish a few different lakes. If you have a big boat the drive way is narrow. We didn't need to check but maybe the owners have another place you could park a pontoon or larger boat over @18.5 ft. We loved this house. It was what we had hoped and expected and we recommend staying here! You will find yourself hanging out by the lake and the dock a lot. The big windows facing the lake are nice because you can see the lake from what we called the great room. Highly recommend!

Our goal is for our guests feel welcomed and at home, and it sounds like that goal was achieved for you and your family. We do have plans to open up the driveway a little more and make access a little easier for our guests who bring larger boats with them. :)
