Spacious, yet cozy home situated on 3 acres of private ground with surrounding farmland. Peaceful and private, this property offers a large backyard with playground, fire pit, and picnic area for your entertainment. Experience amazing sunset views and starlit night skies. This vacation home is 3 miles from the Markleton GAP trailhead and 10 miles from Youghiogheny Lake. Other nearby attractions include Ohiopyle, Falling Water, Kentuck Knob, and The Flight 93 Memorial. This home is in close proximity to many of the local wedding venues, Seven Springs and Hidden Valley Ski Resorts & Laurel Hill and Kooser State Parks. Travel 14 miles to Mt. Davis, the highest point in PA to experience the outlook and firetower and visit High Point Lake.

This ranch home includes a dining area, seating at the kitchen island, and a fully stocked kitchen with a full size refrigerator/freezer, stove, microwave, toaster, and Kerig coffee maker. The living room offers a pellet stove to get extra cozy in the winter months and enough seating for everyone to gather. Relax in the bedrooms and enjoy the canvas displays of nearby natural landscapes.

Enjoy Mother Nature by spending time outside in the large backyard that neighbors a farm with views of horses and cows.

It’s easy to disconnect here, but when you have to be connected, in home WiFi and TV streaming services are available for your convenience!

Our stay at Brittney’s home was perfect! It was a great location that was close enough to Ohiopyle for all the activities we wanted to do there. And the house itself was perfect for us and our teenage boys. The yard was perfect for playing football and frisbee and the fire pit was great to enjoy in the evening and watch the stars - unbelievable stargazing! The house itself was also very clean. Brittney was very responsive and helpful when we accidentally left a few items there after check out - we got everything back with no problems. Would definitely recommend this house for people who want to relax and maybe do hiking and rafting etc in Ohiopyle.

Visited end of July 2025. Beautiful home in a very peaceful location. Had an excellent weekend. The house is well equipped and spotless. The home is spacious. A short drive to Fallingwater and Ohiopyle State Park.

Great family spot

Perfect place for a peaceful family getaway! Spotless, roomy, and cozy. Not too far from Ohiopyle, and large yard to play in! We will be coming back!

Wonderful Home & Host

OUR VISIT Mon-Thu / 3 Adults THE HOST Nice, generous, and a great communicator. Easy check- in and out. Check-in was at 3pm, but the house was ready by 1pm. GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! THE PROPERTY EXACTLY AS THE PICTURES! well maintained, clean, cozy, private, and very peaceful. We had no issues or complaints during our 3-day stay; everything was in order. We used the washing machine, fridge, stove, oven, coffee machine and fire pit, and everything worked perfectly. All the nearby restaurants listed here were either not open or close early during our 3 days stay. So, bringing your own food/ snacks is highly recommended. MY ONLY DISAPPOINTMENTT WAS WITH THE LOCALS Not welcoming or friendly to tourists!!! On our first day we visited Walmart and explored the town, but after all the unpleasant interactions, we decided to do the rest of our exploration, shopping, and dining in New Jersey. I am a very friendly person; I believe in having Positive Interactions that will brighten everyone’s day, treating others with kindness, respect and being polite no matter who you are, how you look or where you are visiting from. Great home and wonderful Host

The house is very clean, updated, and well maintained. Would have plenty of space for 5 or 6 adults to spread out and be comfortable. Great big backyard with a firepit, swingset/slide, and picnic table. Solar lights light yard so it is easy to get back from the firepit to the house. Wood and firestarting material all dry several feet from the fire ring. Host Brittney was absolutely great. Replied to all our questions on the same day usually within a few hours. Told us about a local Rodeo and gave us directions if we wanted to check it out. Offered to set up the travel crib for our 15 month old before we arrived. Check-in and check-out was really easy and well explained. The house is on a busy road so if you want a place you will not hear or see cars or traffic, this may not be the home. The firepit is far enough in the backyard to reduce some of the traffic noise. It did not matter to our family since we spent most of the day out visiting local parks and attractions. There is no deck or light off the side door that leads to the backyard. The solar lights are nice, but an actual stronger porch light might be nice. All in all, no complaints and would stay again. Brittney is an awesome Host and the house was pretty much exactly as pictured.

Great place for a family!

The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. It was a great place to relax after exploring many sights in the area. Brittany was a great host. She was helpful with info on the area and quick to respond when we had questions.

Get Away Trip

This was a much needed get away from the craziness of life. The the house offered the seclusion we wanted, without sacrificing comfort. The house was in a great centralized location for our day excursion to Ohiopyle. I also appriciated the fact the owners made sure the house was stocked with things other rentals may not think about. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

Beautiful Property

Can't say enough about how great our stay was. The property and lodging were very clean and comfortable. The fresh tulips on the kitchen island told us that we made the right decision selecting this property. The countryside views are wonderful. Close to state parks and wonderful little towns. Highly recommend this property, we will stay again.

Perfect

The house was perfect for our needs. We were able to cook full meals, entertain our grandkids and adult kids. The house is centrally located between Somerset and Confluence, so finding places to eat was easy. The host was amazing. Plan to stay here the next time we come up.

Clean and cozy space

This rental is not fancy, but it is wonderful. It has a welcoming and cozy feel about it. It was just right for the 4 moms who got together to relax away from distractions and hustle and bustle. The rental was clean and everything we needed was at our disposal. A great stay.
