Welcome to `The Overlook Gatlinburg`, a secluded and luxurious cabin located just steps away from the heart of Gatlinburg.
Less than 1/2 mile to the Gatlinburg strip and with the Great Smoky Mountain National Park as your neighbor, you`ll have the best of both worlds.
The Overlook boasts an oversized kitchen, game room with ping pong, 65`TV, and full size arcade game with Golden Tee. Relax in the open living room with a fireplace and much more. Even though you are right next to town, minimal neighbors mean you can sip on your coffee in peace while overlooking Gatlinburg and Anakeesta. The street is at the same traffic light as Ober Gatlinburg. Upstairs you can find a desk and workspace with high-speed internet to stay connected while enjoying your mountain getaway. Outdoors there is a hot tub, picnic tables, and a real wood fire pit with seating to enjoy the cool mountain evenings. You will have keyless entry to the cabin, and gravel parking for 4-5 cars in front of cabin.
Pack your bags, and come experience all that Gatlinburg has to offer while enjoying the seclusion and luxury of The Overlook. We can`t wait to welcome you to your mountain getaway!
Parking is provided in front of cabin. It is the guest`s responsibility to ensure safe travel to and from cabin in the instance of inclement weather.
Trash is to be bagged and placed into bear-proof bin in front of cabin.
No pets are allowed.

The host was great and very responsive. The cabin was beautiful, clean, spacious and convenient to Gatlinburg city life. Only reason this is a 4 star rating vs. a 5 star was the fact the fireplace was not working and unable to use the hot tub or fire pit due to bears lurking around. Totally not the fault of the host.

Ideal, so close to Gatlinburg, and quick access to the great Smoky Mountains. We enjoyed all the amenities of the property and the quick responsiveness of our Host whenever we had a question.

Great place very close to the park and Gatlinburg. The road up is steep but a short drive. You would likely not want to walk to town though. But we were happy to get away from the noise and bustle of Gatlinburg. Great place to stay with extended family or friends. We each had a bedroom and bathroom which made it easy. Everything you need is there. Ping pong table and arcade game is great for kids/teens and adults. Comfortable beds and temperature. Great patio with fire pit. Hosts very responsive through text. We did see bears which was very cool for us and I would say it is guaranteed during the season we were there. We had an adolescent bear come right up to our door and an adult walk by close and saw a mom and cubs further down the path on a drive out. But we didn’t feel worried at any point. We even used the bbq one night.

Great place on top of a hill

This place was great. Clean and ready for us when we got there. It is very close to the downtown strip, but there is a large steep hill that winds to get up and down to the cabin.

Gatlinburg Getaway

Initially we had trouble getting in because the door code was misbehaving but we got assistance within minutes to figure it out. It’s high up on the side of a mountain with some neighboring homes around and a short drive to the entrance of the national park. The home was spacious for an average family and quiet too. There is a bit of a steep drop off in the back yard so watch out if you have little ones. The beds were very comfortable which was nice. Overall we enjoyed it. The location is close to everything but a bit of an awkward drive to the top if you’re not used to that.

Spring break vacation

We came to Gatlinburg on a spring break trip and had an amazing stay! The cabin was very clean and close to downtown. There was plenty of room for our group and the owners were very quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this property!!

beautiful views and great close location

we had a great stay...we were only able to stay one of the two night because of a big snow storm we were afraid of getting snowed in. the kids enjoyed the pingpong table and arcade game, the hot tub was very relaxing and watching the lights of the city below...you can see the space needle and the tram going back and forth to ober. it was nice to have multiple master bedrooms, my husbands aunt and uncle stayed with us and it was great for us both to have master suites. very clean...the only negative was the switchback curves up to the house, which is the reason we didnt stay through the snow we didnt feel like we would be able to get down without sliding, but as long as there is not a snow or ice storm predicted it should be fine

Great place to stay

My family and I stayed here for our New Years trip. The location is great and loved being able to be so close to downtown Gatlinburg. We also loved the view of the city. Great overlook!

Gatlinburg Family Vacation

Great property, very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of space. Great space in the kitchen for cleaning/eating. plenty of TV's for kids/adults. 2 fridges are very convenient. Very close to Gatlinburg/SMNP entrance. Only con is the drive up the hill to the condo is not ideal. We would have liked to walk into Gatlinburg but the terrain + blindspots for oncoming traffic + no walking path was not what I'd call suitable for walking. So it's really close to Gatlinburg and you can walk in but at your own risk. (we have little ones so we oped out) Great location and at night you can see Anakeesta lit up great.

Ladies Conference

We came down to Gatlinburg for a ladies conference and the cabin had great space, and was super close to the convention center! We loved the cabin and would definitely come again and recommend it.

Perfect Friend Getaway

The cabin was in a great location - very close to downtown Gatlinburg but still felt secluded. The host communicated well - there was a power outage the night before and he kept us informed. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms looked brand new. The kitchen and laundry was nice. It had two refrigerators! The kids had lots of room to play. My only complaint was the downstairs AC not working well the last couple days and the king bed upstairs being very uncomfortable as it was like two ruts and a hill in the middle from being too old.

Smokies class trip

I booked this cabin for a college class trip, and it was perfect for our needs. Access to the Gatlinburg entrance to the national park meant that we did not have to drive through traffic for our daily trips. The cabin itself was very spacious and provided plenty of room for 10 adults. The kitchen and common areas were particularly roomy. I also found the owners to be extremely communicative - one of our students left their keys behind, and within an hour of contacting the owners, they had located the keys and planned to ship them to the student. Other reviews commented on the steep drive to the cabin; if you are familiar with the area, this is not unusual for rental cabins here. However, I would say that in winter, it would be very difficult to get up the drive, particularly with the tight switchbacks. I would definitely book this cabin again.

As the owners of the rental cabin, we take pride in managing the property ourselves. By managing the property ourselves, we are able to ensure that everything is well-maintained and up to our high standards. We are also available to address any issues or concerns that may arise during your stay. We believe that this hands-on approach allows us to provide the best possible experience for our guests and we hope that you will feel the same.

The cabin itself is cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities you need to feel right at home. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a warm and inviting living room, and four cozy bedrooms. The deck and outdoor hot tub are the perfect place to sit back and take in the breathtaking views of the mountains.

When we first set eyes on The Overlook, it was love at 1st sight! One of the best things about The Overlook is that the property is adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We commonly see bears, and even coyotes walking through the property. This park is known for its stunning natural beauty, with miles of hiking trails, cascading waterfalls, and incredible wildlife.
