Little House on Dairy- Near Ark- Feed Grain to Calves and Goats

Welcome to Alpine Hills Swiss Haven. If you love the outdoors, bring your family for a relaxing stay in our country home. We are located on a 250 acre dairy and pumpkin farm. The house is surrounded by beautiful farmland, overlooking a valley with roaming beef and dairy cows. Sit on our swing or at our fire pit and watch the amazing sunset. We are only 18 minutes from the Ark and 40 minutes from the Creation Museum.
We provide free tickets for our guests to Pumpkin Ridge during our Country Pumpkins Fall Festival. September 7th thru October 31st.

Sleeping Arrangements Include:
- Main Floor Bedroom with Queen Bed
- 2 Full Beds in the Loft
-Love Seat that reclines



Enjoy our new fire pit which is shared with another vacation rental on our property. Please bring your own wood and fire starting supplies.


Children are welcome; We have remodeled our stairs, it is great for children and adults. The loft includes 2 full size beds.

Our farm is home to two family-owned businesses -- Alpine Hills Swiss Farm and Country Pumpkins Fall Festival. Alpine Hills Swiss Farm has been in operation since 1947. Milk was sold commercially for many years, but is currently a small herd-share operation selling milk directly to herd share members.

Country Pumpkins is our annual fall festival that begins September and extends through the end of October with pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes, and all the good, clean family fun you can imagine! We are offering free passes to Pumpkin Ridge for the families staying with us during these dates.

Things to do in Northern Kentucky: The Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, Kentucky Horse Park, Turfway Park (horse racing), horse farm tours, Big Bone Lick State Park, Williamstown Lake, Boltz Lake, shopping, and dining. We are just 45 minutes from Cincinnati, OH where you can enjoy Reds games, Bengals games, Cincinnati Cyclones Hockey, the Cincinnati Zoo, the Newport Aquarium, Coney Island, Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati Museum Center, shopping, and dining experiences.

For your safety, please limit your exploring to 900 ft of the house which is located in a quiet, peaceful location on our farm.
Because we sell raw milk as a business, no guests are permitted around or in the dairy barn.

All 7 of us fit perfectly! The cabin was clean and had all the basic amenities, along with a few great extras! The property owner brought us fire wood for the fire pit and my children had s’mores every night! I counted cows of the porch every morning and evening! Close to the Ark and Creation Museum. It was quiet and my kids had room to run!

The tiny house was perfect for our trip to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. We had a disabled veteran who needed a recliner to sleep so the reclining couch was perfect for him. The bedroom was perfect for our elderly friend who joined us and I was able to sleep upstairs. We were able to get some groceries and have breakfast on the porch and enjoy the sunsets on the swing. We loved being on the farm and off the beaten path. Perfect distance from both the Ark and museum. We loved being treated like we were family at the pumpkin events every night. And THANK YOU for providing a shower chair for my husband to be able to shower. You thought of all the little things and the stay was one we all will never forget. Only 2 small suggestions. 1. As a disabled veteran, my husband would love it if you could get a light on the flag that you have outside. 2. Please have some kind of floor grips in the shower, it was a bit slick when all wet. God bless you all! It was a perfect stay and we will be recommending it to all our friends who want to visit the Ark.

The Little House on Dairy was conveniently located between the ARC Encounter and the Creation Museum. We enjoyed our quiet, peaceful evenings after visiting both. The view was wonderful, and we enjoyed our morning visits from the cows. The house was cozy and met all of our needs. Thank you for being so prompt in fixing our air conditioner situation. We enjoyed our relaxing stay!!

Quiet relaxation get away

Don’t wait-book now!! It’s amazing!

Amazing place to stay! It’s right in the middle of the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum, has the most beautiful view, a play set for kids to play on, the owner is SO kind and let our kiddos feed the calves and goats, and is so peaceful. Everything was very clean which is a huge deal to me! Would definitely recommend! The mini golf nearby was fun as well! Would recommend eating at Fords Garage, Hansie Flip Burger, Whippy-Dip, the Kentucky Y’all Icebox (AMAZING ice cream).

Amazing View!

We SO enjoyed our stay! The view was extremely beautiful. We stayed in mid-May and got to see not only cows, goats and chickens on our drive onto the property, but also a large variety of wildlife. Several species of songbirds, wild turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, and even got to hear coyotes in the distance one night. There were several species of wildflowers to be spotted as well!The cabin was clean and excellently stocked. Having laundry on-site was very helpful. The host was great at communicating and quick in responding. We would 100% stay here again. responded quickly.

Cozy Cabin on the Farm

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Little House on the Dairy Farm. The property was clean and cozy. It was a very convenient spot for visiting the Ark. Our kids loved sleeping in the loft and watching the cows from the porch.

Beautiful home. Saw deer and turkey. Very comfortable bed. It met all our needs. The gravel roads are rough. Entrance to property can be hard to find at night.

Spring Break

Cutest cabin on a beautiful piece of property with perfect sunset views. Cabin was clean and well stocked. Owners are quick to answer any questions. Property is close to everything but private and secluded at the same time. We'll definitely be back!

ARK trip

Being old farm kids we loved driving back to this property. So glad we were given better instructions as our GPS would not have taken us there. Great hide-a-way.
