We absolutely loved this place. It was just like you were at home. It was just that comfortable. The deer were amazing. The best place we have stayed at in a while.

The host was very fast and responsive to any questions we had. Beautiful property, easy to get to from Ellijay, loved seeing the deer everyday off the front porch. Will definitely return in the future.

We had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely beautiful and the bed and couch are super comfy! The deer came up and ate right out of hand every day. It was a wonderful stay. And the host were fantastic!

Sitting outdoors is like being in a deer farm; very peaceful. Downtown Ellijay is totally unique, close by along with some great vineyards with good wine and fantastic views. If you like the mountains you'll enjoy this property.

Our stay was amazing, cant wait to come back, we had a great time exploring the creeks and river nearby and seeing the deer in the morning, we also visited amicolola falls and anna ruby falls both are recommended. Cabin was clean and owner was very responsive, we will definitely stay again, also the community amenities were nice the gym was good and the indoor heated pool!

Once Upon A Deer was a wonderful experience! No wonder the owner is a Superhost, everything was first class with nothing to want for. The cabin was thougtfully decorated with all the amenities one can wish for. The location is excellent for a quiet rejuvenation and to be one with nature. The many deer that appear mornings and evenings are not only beautiful sight, but with a bit of "deer-whispering" will even let you handfeed them. The attribute of "pet-friendly is understated, our Goldendoodle, Gerti, much enjoyed her vacation as well.The Coosawattee community features a lot of recreation facilities and the nearby town of Ellijay has a surprising number of excellent restaurants and lots of quaint shops. The beauty of the area will leave you spellbound and if that doesn't do it, the number of nearby wineries will certainly lift you spirit. Highly recommended! All the initial communication with the host were handled professionally and promptly. We shall return!

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting this family and their doggie at our family cabin. From the moment they booked their stay, communication was seamless and friendly. Great cabin and area

This is a great cabin for vacation. The owner is very responsive to your needs. You even get access to the resort's amenities which include a number of pools, pickleball courts, and weight room.

First off Danette is truly a PREMIER HOST. She is very quick to reply to all messages andanswer any questions. We came up to find our forever home and stayed in this lovely cabin for 3 weeks. It had all the comforts of home and some additions - a hot tub. This was amazing to come home to after being out all day and just relax. The cabin is super close to all the local towns which made it even better.The furnishings and beds were of excellent quality and the kitchen had everything you needed. We stayed for 3 weeks and her cabin began to feel like our cabin.The community is great with all the amenities for all ages. The sunset at the watch tower is not to be missed if you book.I know when I read reviews sometimes you wonder if people are paid to write them, but mine truly is not. This cabin was first class and Danette deserves all the praise given.Thank you for making our stay amazing and everything you did for our stay. Can't wait to become Ellijay residents in October.

Gorgeous and perfect stay

Beautiful property that is fully stocked and ready for a family vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable furniture, plenty of space, full kitchen amenities, laundry, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, games galore. The deer are frequent visitors.

The place was great. You need to be able to transverse narrow hilly road to get to the house but not like other places I’ve rented. The house was very clean. There’s a fenced yard for your dog if needed. Hot tub was a bit out in the open but ok for us. The only little issue was the downstairs bed was a bit too soft for my husband. He’s a big man, 6’4” about 220 lbs. so it probably won’t be an issue for others. The host was in great communication

Once Upon A Deer was just the right place for our little get away. It was immaculately clean and had all the important things you needed in a kitchen.
