You have access to the lake via private boat dock, with mild slope and new stairs to walk up. You can launch your boat into the lake at Shady Cliff Resort right around the corner.

Explore and enjoy Lake Malone State Park’s 788 lake acres and 338 park acres of Kentucky’s natural beauty. The Lake Malone State Park offers a campground, marina, beach, kayaking, and hiking trail. The water is safe for swimming, and the fishing is great in the lake! Lake Malone is rich with large-mouth bass, channel catfish, crappie, and bluegill.

Hikers will enjoy the history and native flora of the 1.5-mile Laurel Trail. While on this pleasant trail, you can expect to see tall pines, mountain laurel, holly, wildflowers, and dogwood, as well as the many rock walls that were once used as shelters by the Native Americans.
