Hemlock Cove is the perfect UP getaway! The cabin is located on Ostrander Lake, just South of Munising. If you are looking to get away from it all and relax and enjoy each others time this cabin is for you. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need, just bring your personal belongings and enjoy your home away from home. The cabin sleeps a total of 6, 1 bedroom with a Full bed, a loft with 2 twins, a queen pullout sofa and 2 twin beds in the sun room. This cabin also features a firepit, BBQ grill and a canoe and kayaks for guest use.

*Door code will be released the night prior to check-in for security purposes.

**Please note that this cabin does have a fireplace but is currently not in working order. Property does have outdoor cameras at the entrance.

***If you are booking through Airbnb or VRBO you will receive a separate contract from Pictured Rocks Vacation Rentals. In order to receive check-in information you will be required to sign this.

Great peaceful retreat

Had a guys trip in the Upper Peninsula and rented out this cozy cabin. It has everything we needed and was well kept. The private lake with kayaks really added to the fun. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and made some great memories.

Love that the cabin was in secluded in the woods 25 min drive off the highway by Muncing. The whole cabin was amazing loved the home feeling you get while being thier.

The cabin was very cozy, with great amenities and the view was spectacular! Was a little disappointed that there was no special touch for our honeymoon and I let management know ahead of time. The management was a bit impersonal. Nonetheless, we want to book for next year.

Quiet and peaceful quaint little cabin.. had lots of small touches that made it homey.. fully stocked kitchen— beach towels were a great bonus as well… Just missed having a television to watch in the evening…

Sweet little cabin

The cabin is tucked away on a nice little lake. I loved being able to jump in a kayak at the end of a day of sightseeing. Bring Keurig pods or your own coffee pot.

I left my heart in Michigan

Super cute cabin was perfect for our family vacation. Hanging out on the shore and dock and playing with the frogs and turtles was a joy! Very quiet and private. So many thoughtful items included in the cabin which was super clean and cozy. Perfect 2 minute drive to the road to take you to so many nearby adventures!! Which we could have stayed longer!

Family time

We needed a quiet place that was beautiful. Our mother has cancer and we wanted to spend time together, we grew up in the area as children and moved 6 hours away. We came to meet with extended family and just be together. The cabin was exactly what we needed. Clean and cozy, we cooked and talked and laughed and cried. We are all so thankful for our time together in such a dreamy location.

Perfect cozy cabin for family getaway

We loved this cabin. Our boys are 4 and 5, and they LOVED the loft area. It was a perfect place for the 4 of us. We caught fish off the dock, had fires and s’mores and played many board games that were available in the cabin. The host were quick to respond to messages. The Wi-Fi was excellent! The AC unit worked great. We didn’t want to leave.

Beautiful cabin

The stay was wonderful. The weather was perfect! We kayaked around the lake. We actually thought it was bigger but it was nice! At night we went out to see the stars! Absolutely breathtaking! We did a waterfall tour ourselves and every place was just a short distance away. We also booked a kayak trip out to Pictured Rocks. Beautiful! Everything was clean and neat. We would definitely recommend this cabin.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was bigger then we thought it would be. It had everything you need to cook in the kitchen close to Muncing and Christmas. Definitely for someone who enjoys the outdoors and likes being out in the woods. Definitely looking forward to staying agin.

Beautiful Cabin on the Lake!

Everything we needed for an enjoyable stay was provided with this cabin. The lake had a good variety of fish (large mouth bass, small mouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, sunfish, pike, and perch). No need to bring a boat. There were 4 kayaks, a canoe, and life jackets included. Kitchen was fully stocked. Even had a Krueger for coffee. Also there are two general stores within a couple miles. Would recommend it place for any family.

Clean, STOCKED and Beautiful!

Our family of 5 recently stayed here for several days while visiting the Pictured Rocks area. We absolutely LOVED it and I would say it was one of my favorite cabins. It's fairly basic and on the smaller side but that's what I loved - it looks and feels like a cabin. No TV which might be off putting to some but I LOVED because it encouraged our kids to be outside. Cabin was clean and well stocked, water pressure was great, sleeping was comfortable and the canoe and kayaks were a great bonus! My boys loved fishing off the dock and the lake was shallow enough that they could kayak without mom & dad (life jackets also provided). There is a neat little sandbar that you can go out to, the drive to Moran is short and the local general store is well stocked, has friendly owners and the ice cream is fantastic! Hope to come back again to this gem!

not handicap ready

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Front porch was too high. My friend had a hard time stepping down. Chairs on the porch were very low. Had to raise with rugs and towels to see out the window. Most windows would not open, and holes in screens that let bugs in. That is the negative. Possitive, had a relaxing vacation with some nice fires.

Perfect get away for all ages

I can not say enough about the cabin and location. We do rentals often and this cabin was stocked like I have never experienced before. You needed something it was there with no improvising. The Lake was beautiful with plenty to do even for 2 active 17 year old boys. They didn’t miss not having a TV. Plenty of chill time and activity on the lake. Wi-Fi was great for cell devices when needed. Only one down side the double bed mattress is very firm. Less firm would make the stay heavenly. Enjoyed all the local towns’ activities. Did a beach on Lake Michigan and Superior and all Lakes were crystal clear. My husband and I will be back for a longer stay when we are empty nesters. Which is coming very soon.

Quaint Cozy Cottage

We actually loved it. It is Right on the lake, with water toys in the water, your own canoes, an awesome fire pit with chairs to view the stars. We actually saw one string of stars that night as we saw the Northern Lights. It looked like a string of sparkling Christmas lights. Cabin is cozy, not too small... BUT, was very disappointed with sand/dirt on floors and on couch's in living room area. We did enjoy the cabin very much and would love to come back next year!

Beautiful and secluded

The cabin and property were both incredibly clean. The location is tucked away but not hard to find. It is surrounded by forest and small lakes and the location is great for hiking and other outdoor activities. The management was awesome too. She responded right away anytime I had a question and she was incredibly accommodating. It's a beautiful spot!
