Welcome to the beach! Escape to a quiet cul-de-sac with a 5-minute walk to the famous Tourmaline surf break and large sandy beach. Also walking distance to restaurants, retail shops, Gelson’s grocery, and trendy nightlife, our large 1/1 condo is situated between North PB and Birdrock/La Jolla. Enjoy favorite attractions just a short drive away: Mission Bay, Kate Sessions Park, La Jolla Cove, Torrey Pines State Park/Golf Course, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Gaslamp District & much more!
This beach jewel gets tons of sun and cross breeze with two outdoor patios and multiple windows. It features several new upgrades including electronics and appliances, making your stay a warm and welcoming getaway!
The condo is one of nine units in a quiet and friendly complex. Past the serene courtyard and up a flight of stairs is your private, exterior entrance with keypad entrance. The condo’s main room has hardwood floors, a comfortable L-shaped couch, recliner chair, and mounted 50” TV. French double doors open from this room to the east-facing balcony that features a teak wood table and bar stools, as well as a laundry room (washer, dryer, cleaning/storage.) A separate space of the room includes an office desk and chair for a working professional or time on your laptop.
The generous size bedroom (190 sq ft) has a king bed, premier sheets/bedding, mid-century wooden furniture, wall-mounted Smart TV, ample closet space, and beautiful plush carpet.
The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and dining supplies, Keurig coffee maker, regular coffee maker, blender, microwave, flat-top electric stove and oven, wine glasses, champagne flutes, and 4-chair dining table with a palm leaf ceiling fan above. Double doors open from this room to the south-facing balcony with a quaint bistro table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee or happy hour beverage with the ocean breeze. Get anything you need at Gelson’s grocery (within a stone’s throw...really!) or dine out with many restaurants within a 5-15 walk.
The bathroom has a separate space with a beautiful coastal tile shower (newly remodeled in 2023) and toilet. The vanity area is separated by a door and convenient for multiple users.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Entertainment The two Smart TVs allow you to login with your Netflix, YouTube, Hulu account, etc. There is a ChromeCast on the bedroom TV which you are welcome to move to the other TV.
Beach Items Beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs on site.
Kitchen & Laundry The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies and some basic ingredients for dining in. If more supplies are needed, Gelson’s is a quick walk and Vons is a quick drive. Don’t feel like cooking? There are many options within an easy walk.
We also provide the basics to get you started for laundry, dish washing and regular cleaning. The kitchen counter tops are brand new, so please help us maintain their condition by using the specific Granite Counter Cleaner (provided) and clean regularly.
Tables: Tables are situated in such a way so that they will not be hit by doors when opening and closing. If you move anything, please move back before opening/closing patio doors.
Temperature: While there is no A/C, most warm days are very comfortable with the doors & windows open and/or the ceiling fans on. We also have two portable fans to help circulate air. The thermostat on the wall near the desk is for the heater. This is a radiant heater embedded in the ceiling. You can use ceiling fans to help move the air around. There is also a space heater in the white cupboard near the surfboard. You might find this a better option.
There are also a couple of throw blankets available for extra warmth. One is draped on the couch. The other is stored in the wooden chest at the foot of the bed (press the button on the front of the chest to unlock/open.)
Tools/First Aid Kit: If needed, there are basic tools, first aid kit, and a flash light in a utility drawer which is located in the cabinet below the TV in the living room (top right drawer.)
Lighting: Always leave the front door light on as it has motion detection at night to help you see.
Laundry: Motion detection light in closet. Don’t forget to check and clean the lint trap in the dryer before every use. Leave the laundry closet door open while the dryer is on so air circulates.
Trash: Trash is located just outside the gate in the alley.
Sand: There is a water hose on your left side when you enter the gate from the alley. Please use that to rinse sand off yourself, boogie boards, etc. before entering the condo. Please sweep and Swiffer the floors on a weekly basis to avoid sand and dust accumulating.
Garbage disposal: Please be careful with the garbage disposal. Throw solids in the trash as much as possible.
Smoking: Our condo is 100% no smoking. Smoking of any kind, inside or outside our unit is not allowed. If needed, you may use the alley or other permissible public areas to smoke.

Trash bins are located just outside the back gate. Please take out your garbage and recyclables during your stay. Trash is picked up weekly.
Cleaning supplies provided. Use only granite cleaning spray for countertop, Pledge on hardwood furniture, all purpose cleaner on other surfaces.

Perfect spot
Loved this well-appointed, quiet neighborhood gem just a step off the beaten path. Easy walk to restaurants and shops on Turquoise st as well as to Bird Rock district. Host was fantastically responsively and helpful at every step. Balconies and fans ensured comfort throughout the day. Free parking a bonus. Perfect if you want to feel more like a local than a tourist.

Formerly the place we called home, our condo is in one of most wonderful places in San Diego. It's so close to the ocean and steps away from a great surf session, sunset beach walk, or oceanfront happy hour with friends. There are stores, shops, yoga studios, restaurants, and so much to enjoy - all either walking distance or a quick bike ride away. Of course, Uber/Lyft can get you somewhere easily too. We think you'll find this an incredibly comfortable and quaint place to stay while you visit this gorgeous and active beach town!
