Relax at RMB Longhorn East, a country paradise

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful ranch house on 50 beautiful acres. Enjoy your morning coffee on the back patio with a serene view of our longhorn roaming the grounds. For a unique experience, climb Longhorn Lookout and enjoy an unobstructed aerial view of the property. With a quaint winery just 7 minutes down the road, youā€™ll have no problem filling your time away from home! Check out Splashway Water Park for more fun family adventures during your stay.
The space
The house is situated on 50 acres of land, including a small pond. Our Longhorn Lookout tower is one of our favorite aspects of the property. Take a climb and check out the area from one of 3 observation decks. There are also several indoor and outdoor games for your enjoyment! Entertain yourself with ring catch or bag toss while you grill your dinner on the sprawling back deck, or relax inside with a cold drink and a deck of cards or Dominoes. The kids also have an array of toys and books in the loft! Thereā€™s something for everyone at the ranch.

Enjoy unlimited access to the entire property. We ask that children under 12 years old do not climb the tower for safety considerations.
Other things to note
There are several longhorn cows and horses roaming the property outside the fence surrounding the house. We ask that you do not attempt to approach them, as they are ranch animals and not pets. Feel free to photograph them from a safe distance!

This is a rural area and an older house, so sometimes the doors stick and the floors creak! We have the house regularly treated for pests, but we canā€™t guarantee there wonā€™t be an insect or 2.

The wifi is MAX speed 25 mbps, which is not fast, especially with multiple devices connected. Youā€™re able to stream shows/movies on the smart TV, but it may take some time to load. We encourage you to use this time to unplug and enjoy a time of peace, conversation, and tranquility in the beautiful countryside!

Weekend getaway for Family wedding

We LOVED this place! It was peaceful and clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We came into town for a wedding at The Oaks at High Hill and it was the perfect place to stay.

Wonderful Little Ranch house!

We loved our "ranch get-a-way" The house is exactly as described and pictured. the beds are comfortable, even the ones in the upper loft area. Mary Beth, the owner, responds very quickly! We had three adults for our stay, but a small family gathering for dinner on one night. The kitchen is well stocked with quality knives etc... It was a perfect 3 night stay!!

Peaceful Country Get Away

The house was absolutely lovely. You will feel like you are in the middle of "No- Where", which is what we love. But the location is near the town as well as a lot of fun Wineries. Mary Beth was great to communicate with, always quick to respond and super friendly. The Longhorn look out is super cool. And the kitchen was really well stocked. Thank you so much for an Amazing stay!

Absolutely perfect peaceful country home

This property was perfect! From the minute you enter the gate the busyness of life starts melting away. Then you walk in the door and a peacefulness comes over you. The longhorns are gorgeous and roam the property during your entire stay. The firehouse is a must climb. After the climb challenge you can sit and take in the most amazing view. I highly recommend this property. The owner is super special as well.

Perfect Country Home

We needed a place for the weekend to attend a wedding and needed to bring our small dog. The home is super cute, and nicely cared for. The kitchen is nicely updated and everything was very clean. Dog had to be taken out on a leash, the fence around the house is good for keeping cows and horses out, but not for keeping dogs in. No big deal, but something to keep in mind if bringing a dog.

Quiet and relaxing

Stayed for two nights with no issues. The kitchen is very well stocked with sauces and spices. The AC is undersized, but we were going through a heat wave, so it would catch up at night. Outside was nice, but there were many giant but harmless spiders, which is likely why there were no bugs or mosquitos. The morning visits from about 10 Longhorns was enjoyable.

This was a dream come true. The Bluebonnets were in full bloom!,

I had always dreamed of owning a Ranch. Now for a few short days my dream came true. The home was fully stocked and so welcoming. Even though it is in the country you can easily drive to the Painted Churches and Roundtop. Oops, I shouldnā€™t tell you about our little secret! Iā€™ll definitely be back. BlessingsšŸ•Š

What a peaceful, beautiful location out in the country! We had ages 17-65 staying, and everyone loved it. The scenery was lovely, and longhorns and horses were nearby the entire time, which added the best ambiance to the whole setting. The house is a really cute old farm house that has been nicely renovated and decorated. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids. The two twins beds are next to each other with the larger sized bed in a separate nook about 20 feet away, so even though they share a spaceā€”there is some privacy. We rarely had the TV on and spent much of our time playing games at the table, walking the property, and sitting on the porch (which was my favorite). Even in June, the porch had a nice breeze, and we were comfortable sitting out there for hours. Seamless check in and check out, and responsive, friendly owners. I was there (from DFW) for a wedding, but plan to go back just because we loved it so much.

Visit with family

Adorable place out in the country! My children loved the upstairs area, toys for my little guy and games provided to play with family. It was my sons first time fishing. He caught 2 good size fish for catch and release which he was super excited about! Mary Beth was very helpful with information before our trip. We needed to accommodate my farther who was coming to visit and was in a wheelchair. It was an easy 2 steps up and area inside for the wheelchair to move pretty easily in. Thanks so much Mary Beth for everythingšŸ¤—

Just perfect!

you know when something is so amazing you want to keep it to yourself and not share; but you just have to? That is this wonderful house at RMB Longhorn. The most fully stocked location-bring your groceries of choice and your clothes and thatā€™s all that is required. Cabinets are wellstocked with spices for grilling out or for using the oven to cook or bake your favorite dish. There is a keurig coffee pot for either a full pot or your coffee pod-both of which are available at the house. The fridge has condiments galore. Plenty of dishes and pots and pans-youā€™re set. Hangers in the closet, wonderfully fluffy towels in the bath. Comfy bed and couches. Basket full of dvds and shelves with games and books. Outside you can see the longhorn cattle and a few horses wandering by. A little slice of heaven can be found here. Shhhh - donā€™t tell anyone!

This is a great place to get away from it all and relax. We stayed in a converted farmhouse that was very clean and comfortable. The view of the country is excellent. The hostess is congenial and accommodating. We are going back in November for another stay.
