Carmel Holiday is a comfortable three-bedroom, two-bath home that has it allā€š ocean view, WiFi, a fenced yard, and is located only one short block to the beach. Sit on the large wrap-around deck and listen to the sound of the waves or stay warm by the fire either in the upstairs living room or downstairs in the family room.

When you walk up the stairs you will find the door to the wrap-around deck, the kitchen that has everything you need to enjoy cooking for your family and friends, a dining room that seats eight, the living room with its wrap around couch and wall of windows facing the ocean, and the main suite with a comfortable bed and private bathroom.

The entry level has the family room, which is perfect for family game nights with a round table and poker chips, a futon for additional sleeping, and a TV. The other two bedrooms of this home are down here as well. This is a lovely home with much to offer the person looking for a getaway or for a family vacation. Everything has been considered to make your stay fun and enjoyable. Once you stay here you will want to visit every year.

Charming and close to everything

This place is immaculate and very charming. We loved the location, steps from the beach, and a short walk to the main street. The fireplace was cozy, all the bedrooms have very comfortable beds and the large dining table was great for meals and crafts. Recommend!

Not fancy but everything you need. Fenced Yard. Great Location.

I've stayed here several times and it isn't fancy but has everything you need. I see small improvements every year. New couch this year! I love that there is carpet almost everywhere. It's a 2 minute walk to the beach and you get a peek a boo view from the deck which is lovely to sit on in the afternoon even in November. The fenced yard is perfect for my 2 dogs. The main street with cute shops and restaurants is a 5 minute walk. The beds/pillows are comfortable and the kitchen has all the basics. I bring a small heater for the downstairs bathroom which has a tiny shower that might be uncomfortably small for a large/tall person. The upstairs bathroom has plenty of room and a built in wall heater. The house is always spotlessly clean when we arrive. San Dune Pub has great burgers and lots of TV's to watch the game. Neah Kah Nie has excellent food, reserve well ahead.

Location is nice- close to town and beach. Pretty out dated and could use some TLC. One bathroom in the master bedroom. The other is downstairs and tiny. Kitchen is very small. Nice fenced yard. Overall it was just okay. We paid $600 a night after tax/fees and I feel that was overpriced for the place.

This is the third or fourth time weā€™ve stayed in this house. We continually come back because it is a great house that works for the size of the group, accepts dogs, has a big enclosed yard, and is close to the beach. We will definitely return.

Needs a deep clean.

Location is great. Fully equipped. Itā€™s dated and a little dingy, which is fine. But floor was dirty and vacuum was so full we had to empty it before we cleaned, in order to feel comfortable there. Kitchen was very clean. Smoke detector battery was beeping - so my guess is regular maintenance got skipped.

Always stay at Carmel Holiday

We love Carmel Holiday because of its proximity to the beach and downtown, the fenced yard for our dog, and because it is comfortable and well-equipped. We've posted positive reviews in the past. We noted a few updates in the house this time, new heating and electric fireplace in the living room, new shower in the master bedroom, new washer and dryer. There were two downsides to our stay. I had planned dinners around using the oven. It worked one night, and the next, our last, it just wouldn't heat up. Had to move the meal to the stove top. Second, I'm sad the owners changed management from Sunset Vacation Rentals to Vacasa. We always had great service from Sunset. We needed to leave before our checkout date, and we could find no way to check out early on the VACASA app. We ended up stopping by Sunset Vacation Rentals on our way out of town, and they gave us the phone number for VACASA.

This is an older house which needs some updates. Dinning room table definitely needed refinishing. Stairs need vacuuming. Outside also needs clean up. The appliances were new and clean. Bedding in upstairs was worn .

Excellent Beachouse

This beach house was perfect for our girlā€™s trip. Itā€™s well appointed, close to the beach and the shops on Laneda, and the yard is perfect and very pet friendly. We also really enjoyed the warm outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach.

Disappointed

The location of this property is great. Walking distance to the heart of Manzanita and close to the beach. The house itself is quite large and can fit a lot of people. It was advertised as having a fireplace but unfortunately the fireplace had a sign that it was out of order. That really bummed us out because it was raining and part of our reason for booking was to have a fire. This property is managed by the vaCasa and when we had issues VRBO site and vacasa would not communicate. We also had to go to a location in town to get our keys and drop them off there as well. Not a huge deal but slightly annoying. My last complaint is more focused on the vacasa check out policy. The 10 AM check out time is ridiculous considering most hotels and motels allow an 11 AM check out. Forces you to rush. Ironically they will allow you to check out at a later time if youā€™re willing to pay. Oh and the cleaning fee which was as expensive as two additional nights was over the top considering they want you to do the laundry, empty garbage and start the dishes. So, I weight the cost and discovered we can stay with a dog at a hotel 3 blocks away for 1/2 the price, check out at 11 and not have to clean.

Labor Day weekend

We love renting this house and appreciate all the ways it works for our family. It would be even better if we could use the stove to cook meals. We have rented the house several times and it continues to have 2 broken burners.

Needs updates

First we are returning renters who love the house. Please have someone look at the stove cooktop. The burners are all crooked and donā€™t fit the intended space. Itā€™s very hard to cook on the stovetop. Also I wanted to BBQ this trip but couldnā€™t because thereā€™s no charcoal-I could buy or bring my own if I know ahead of time-and thereā€™s no BBQ tools anywhere.
