El Cuyo is a small village still spared from mass tourism with coconut palms by the sea, located on the peninsula of Yucatan.

El Cuyo is the only place overgrown with palm trees. On all other beaches, the coconut palm palms were eradicated by a plague, and it was no longer reforested.

Not so in El Cuyo, here you still expect a perfect world!

The fully furnished house with a large beach terrace and many coconut palms is available for you throughout the year.

You can only book the ground floor with 2 separate bedrooms, plus a living / bedroom, shower room, kitchen for up to 8 people.

All the apartment's are completely independent, with separate entrances, beach terraces, fully equipped kitchens, and clean bathrooms.

On days off we like to explore Yukatan to experience the legendary culture of the Maya's, the city, the traffic and mass tourism.

One day we arrived by accident to El Cuyo the arrival was in the car crossed a pink lagoon with hundreds of pink flamingos .. and arrived in a quiet village full of coconut palms.

You pass a Mayan pyramid on which a lighthouse is built, and now you can even climb the lighthouse.

We have been to many places in Yucatan, but none had coconut palms, as they have been eradicated by a plague.

Not so in El Cuyo, here were all the palm trees in town and on the beach, we were delighted with the Caribbean feeling, and then visited every free weekend this heavenly quiet spot until someone offered us a small house for sale. At that time it consisted of only one ground floor. We immediately fell in love with this 'rough diamond' and renovated it with a lot of heart. We did not even think about renting a holiday home.

Then we built the penthouse on the first floor and Casa Maya Lodge on the second floor.

The caretaker will welcome you in the house and hand over the keys.
