Great house for family stay

we stayed for our daughters graduation from UDel- house was perfect for a larger group, easy to get to and from campus and town. Would highly reccomend!

Great Brandywine Valley Home

Great stay with our family over the holidays visiting Longwood Gardens and Brandywine Valley. The location is great and the house was very comfortable and well stocked. We all enjoyed the landscaping and surrounding views.

Great house in a great location

The house is very spacious and well appointed. The surrounding area is very nice and secluded. It's close to Longwood and Winterthur. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to stay here again soon.

cousins reunion

The house was a great place to entertain the 10 ladies of our group. only 7 slept there. the house is supposed to sleep 10 but some wanted more privacy. the dinning room table sat 10 so it was perfect for our evening meals. the living room was large with plenty of seating. a great house to relax and get to know each other again after seeing the local sights.

Gorgeous spacious house for a gathering

We loved the house! Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each other's company. We even saw deer walking around outside. The patio was a treat. 10/10 would stay there again.

Lovely spot with nice added amenities

We had a great stay, the neighborhood is quiet and secluded and we enjoyed the tree-filled grounds. The house was very clean and well-stocked with supplies that help make settling in easy. Will return when in the area.

Beautiful Home

We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and hosted Thanksgiving for our family. The host went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The kitchen and home is well stocked and we had every thing we needed for our stay. We highly recommend this property!

Great house in nice location for New Years Weekend in the Brandywine Valley. Host was super helpful and the spacious house easily accommodated our group of 6 adults. Hope to make it back someday soon.

Sorority Reunion - Class of 69

This immaculate property is beautifully set in the Brandywine Valley… accessible to Winterthur, Brandywine Muesum , Kennett Square, Longwood Gardens and more.The kitchen is very well equipped and lots of space to spread out throughout the house. A few suggestions …The 2nd full bathroom could use a shelf in the shower and a higher toilet that doesn’t wobble.We had a tornado warning with loss of power … Maybe a few flashlights , too. Thank you for all the other amenities!

Great location, beautiful property

House is quiet and secluded, but yet conveniently located to all necessities. It was perfect for our family group of 6 attending my aunt's 90th birthday celebration! Donald was friendly and helpful from the get-go....easy to communicate with. The house is spacious, with lots of room to hang out, in and out.

AMAZING

This home was GORGEOUS with every amenity and close to everything. The host was the best. Wrote back right away. Sent someone to help shovel the driveway when it snowed. Could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Absolutely perfect.

Perfect Stay!

We were so pleased with everything about our stay. We came to my home state to see my mom and brother who are not doing great physically, and to give them an early Thanksgiving. This was the perfect place do host - spacious, with plenty of seating, a double oven for all the food, and the weather was perfect! We were also treated by the lovely neighborhood deer hanging out in the yard. We'll be back for sure!

Beautiful, spacious home with terrific porch and scenic back yard! Quiet setting with lush trees. We had deer, birds and even a fox visit in the yard! Very comfortable for six adults. 5 Stars.

Better than expected!

We needed a home less restricting than a hotel for a destination wedding within the family. This home was better than expected! Beautiful and spacious home to accommodate the 4 different families! My children had so much space to run and play while the adults enjoyed coffee/tea and convos amongst the peaceful views of the property! Host was super accommodating, helpful, and prompt with all questions!! Hope to have a reason to return to this location in the future!

Spacious accommodations near Wilmington area sites

The house is very spacious and is great for a gathering of family and friends. The upstairs bedroom (obviously formerly a den) lacks sufficient lighting and curtains are missing on 3 windows (the room is ground level and faces the driveway / walkway). The lighting throughout the house is insufficient and some overhead light bulbs are burned out. The host was very pleasant and responsive to emails.

Retreat

The house was bright and cheery. the deer in the yard were a nice addition. As it was the beginning of February, I thought it was a little chilly to sit out on the deck, but I was tempted when the morning sun was shining on the deck. My 2 children (both in their 30's) thought it was great that they both fit on the couch (L shaped) for their nap! Lots of room for everyone to have their own space.

The perfect refuge

This was the perfect refuge for my family. Eight of us representing 3 generations gathered to inter my mother's remains at a nearby cemetery. We were very comfortable here and appreciated how close we were to Centreville and Greenville. The country setting with beautiful plantings and mature trees that attracted lots of birds was restorative. The owners were also very responsive to the few questions we had. Having grown up not far from here, it was as close to being home again as we could hope to find. One thing to note - the powder room is reached by walking through the bedroom on the main floor (where the kitchen, living room, and dining room are located). The other two full bathrooms are downstairs, along with three more bedrooms and the laundry room.

Beautiful

Hello the property that we stayed at it's beautiful. The pictures that are listed, are beautiful but to be there in person is lovely. The only issue I have is the patio lighting just outside the kitchen are not working. We did not have much time to contact anyone. Everything you can think you may need is there. There was bottled cold water upon our arrival. So we made sure we left bottle cold water for the next guest to arrive. The house is very spacious. Everyone that came over for the celebration of our event loved it so much. They are now interested in Booking the same location. Thank you so much to the owner's. Your home is very beautiful and I will definitely be reaching back out to you again. God Bless You. 🙏 I cannot honestly rate the property manager because we never contact anyone.

Family reunion and Thanksgiving gathering

1. The property manager/owner was super responsive. We had several concerns that were addressed nearly immediately and promptly solved. 2. The description indicates that one bedroom has a king bed, two bedrooms, have queen bed and one bedroom has four singles in reality, one bedroom had a king bed. Two bedrooms had double beds. And the fourth bedroom had two queen beds. Since we were traveling with four children, this was not optimal. Also, those who are accustomed to a queen or king bed as a couple are not comfortable, and they full bed. We contacted the property manager immediately and we were sent over 2 Queen air mattresses. We had enough sleeping room, but the configuration was less than ideal. 3. Also, please note that yes there is a half bathroom upstairs so you have to go through one of the bedrooms to get there. Fortunately, we are a close family so this was not a problem. Otherwise, you need to get downstairs to use a bathroom.

Girlfriends’ Getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The house was well equipped, and the host was very responsive to emails. The only caveat is that the house has a very quirky layout, with two steps down and two up from the entry to the kitchen. Three bedrooms are on the lower level, and one is on the main. The main-floor bedroom must have been a study, as it has bookcases, a fireplace and French doors. Whoever stays in this room should plan to rise early, as the windows and French doors are not fully draped and let in a lot of light. Its location next to the family room can be an issue if others stay up late. To shower, you must use one of the downstairs full baths, as this room has only an attached half bath. Access to the main and other two bedrooms /bathrooms are down an uncarpeted, L-shaped staircase, which could be an issue for young kids or older folks. Quirkiness aside, the rooms are extremely spacious and bright. The house is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood close to the Brandywine Valley's many attractions. We were pleased overall and would recommend this rental.

Terrific location & great house

Communication was easy and friendly. The house is in a really pretty area. I was in Wilmington for a graduation at the Chase Center. It’s about 20 mins from there and gives a very nice country feel. The property is very pretty with lots of hills. The layout of the house is reversed with the kitchen, family room, dining room and one of the queen rooms on the entry level. The master, remaining two bedrooms, bathroom, and laundry room are downstairs. The covered patio was delightful to sit on and chat. We didn’t use the other larger deck, but that was spacious and very nice as well. The only shared shower is downstairs, so if you have any family members that can’t use stairs, that’s the only limitation. The bathroom off the upstairs queen is a half bath. All rooms were comfortable and had plenty of closet space. The master bath shower was large very nice. It does have a non-standard handle position for hot water, but the owner communicates the difference well and as long as you follow them, the hot water is plentiful. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we come back to the area. The house is large, well-appointed and reasonably priced for the area and size of the house. Thank you!
