Detailed Overview

Vila Azul has gorgeous wood flooring throughout the main living areas and bedrooms, an elegant kitchen, a bathroom with a jetted tub and in-floor heating, and a fenced back yard. Plenty of entertainment options—most of the major streaming services for watching movies, shows, and some sports; a good selection of board games; enjoy time on the deck or around the fire pit; the little ones can entertain themselves at their own play table with books, coloring books, and games.

Great neighborhood with short walk to parks, shops, restaurants, and the Pheasant Branch Conservancy. Quick and easy access to the Beltline (Route 12), downtown Madison, and surrounding areas.

The Space

Come to Vila Azul and stay in style. It's a great place to cook and hang out.

Use the gas stove and oven in the well-equipped kitchen or cook outside using the gas grill.

Besides the beautiful kitchen, warm and welcoming living and dining rooms, 3 lovely bedrooms, and the feature-rich bathroom, you'll have plenty of entertainment options if you choose to stay in instead of taking advantage of all the Madison area has to offer.

Turn on our 50" Roku-enabled TV and enjoy the Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, MLB TV, Netflix, Paramount+, and Starz profiles for Vila Azul guests that we've set up for you. Want to disconnect a little? Then take out a board game from our decent selection of games for adults and kids.

If you hate using pesky switches and knobs, try out the hands-free smart-home features: turn on, turn off, or dim the lights in the living room and kitchen and play some music on the Google Home smart display in the kitchen or on the Roku Streambar in the living room using just your voice.

Prefer to be outside? Cook up some BBQ on one of our grills. Enjoy a day of lounging on our deck under the sunshade or a night under the party lights. We've even got you covered with an infrared heater and some blankets if it's a little chilly. Don't forget to have some fun sitting in the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit any time of year. We've got skewers for making s'mores or cooking some hot dogs and brats over the open flames.

And if you want to combine movie night with a little outdoor fun, you can always check out a portable projector, screen, and speaker to connect to your device via HDMI or wirelessly via Chromecast. The popcorn is on us (microwave or theater-style)!

And don't worry if you forgot your phone or tablet charger, we probably have you covered with extra USB-C, USB Micro B, and Apple Lightning cables you can use.


Guest Access

Self check-in is easy using the smart lock on the front door--you'll get your own private code to enter on the keypad.

You can enjoy the entire upstairs space, the deck, and the backyard. Anything not marked private is yours to explore (the areas that are private are a couple of closets upstairs, the garage, and the private living quarters downstairs for your hosts John and Maria).

Other things to note

While we don't allow large parties, we're happy to help friends and families make memories in small special occasion gatherings (e.g., holiday dinners, Mother's Day celebrations, etc.). We will consider requests about special gatherings on a case-by-case basis.
