STUNNING Lake Home on Coveted Long Lake!

Reconnect with loved ones at the lake. Large, wooded lakefront lot with views of great sunrises and spectacular sunsets. Roomy, completly remodeled two-level home, firm beach on highly sought-after Long Lake. Great fishing, swimming, pontooning and watersports. Make s'mores around the campfire, relax on the deck, play yard games in the large lakefront or back yards. The cabin was completely remodeled in 2023. Our goal was to maintain the home's traditional charm, while upgrading to luxury amenities. Ceilings were vaulted and walls removed to enhance and expand lake views. Flooring, cabinetry, appliances and countertops are brand new. Both bathrooms totally remodeled, and much more. Paddle boards, kayaks, and water toys are available upon request. A pontoon boat, scooters, and e-bicycles are available to rent - inquire if interested.

The drive that extends from out property to the west (the left if you are looking at the lake) is NOT a shared drive. It's the neighbor's. Do not use.
No loud or late night parties. There are neighbors and expensive homes close by. Noise complaints will result in non-refundable eviction and fee
Clean upon checkout: 1. Strip sheets from bed and put in laundry rm. 2. Trash to garbage bins. If you're there on a Tue bring to curb. 3. Do dishes.

Perfect Family Vacation in a perfect location !!

Our family spent 5 fantastic days at this beautiful vacation home. It had everything we could need or want. The kayaks, paddle board, and raft kept our family on the water all day. The inside of this home is beautifully decorated with everything provided for grilling and cooking. Matt and Jodie are great hosts !

Great family time

Matt and Jodie were responsive to our questions and needs. The home and property were great for our purpose and age range (10-68). We enjoyed the pontoon and yard games and the open floor plan allowed us all to watch the Olympics as well as family time. We will definitely book again!

Wonderful Stay!!

We just returned from a wonderful long weekend at this beautiful property! Check in and out was flawless and communication with the hosts was easy with timely responses. The property itself has everything you need and then some. From a well appointed kitchen to gorgeous renovations throughout, it was impressive and extremely comfortable! The lake itself was clear, and great for kayaking, rides on the nice pontoon and fishing. We are ready to go back and looking forward to next year!

Perfect!

The home was beautiful and spacious! Beautiful view of the lake inside the home and from the deck. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. Not one complaint from our kids about being board. We had one night/day of gloomy weather but having wifi and tv’s to stream on made the yucky weather day no issue. With only a 6 minute drive to DL this is perfect! Hoping to return next year for our family vacation! Matt and Jodi are great! Even brought us the ingredients for s’mores. I definitely recommend this property!

We had a great experience

We rented the cabin for a Thursday check-in. On Wednesday, Matt reached out to let us know that the property was ready & wanted to know if we wanted to get in a day early. Since two of our family arrived on Wednesday, this turned out be a very welcome surprise. Matt provided us with kayaks & a pontoon rental. We mentioned paddle boarding, so the next day he showed up with one in tow for our use. We enjoyed our time at this rental & had a great experience. Matt was a very gracious host and treated us like family. While the cabin may benefit from a few updates, if you are looking for a great location with a lake access & water toys, as well as a great host, we would recommend this location.

Home Away From Home

This home is in such an excellent location where the water is so beautiful - some fishing, some swimming, some kayaking, some pontooning, some playing and sometimes, just enjoying from their big picture window. Thank you to Matt and family for providing the essential tools to enjoy the home, the water, the quick vacation. The home is squeaky clean and they provide you with everything from dreamy king and queen beds and comfy sheets to kitchen and grilling tools and dining needs… and then some. As for fun and toys, they have all those, too - kayaks, paddleboard, lounging areas in the deck and by the fire pit. What really got to us is the excellent communication and the utmost care given by Matt to really make sure we enjoy our stay there, even when we had thunder clouds looming. Thank you again and we hope to be back soon! You were all so excellent and amazing!

Fantastic Host and Property

What a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. We booked before they did a huge remodel and all of the updates are VERY nice! The house was super clean, extremely roomy and very welcoming. It had everything we needed to enjoy the week, including outdoor fun (corn toss, fire-pit, kayaks, paddle board and even e-bikes that we rented for a day (super fun!!). Matt and Jodi were AMAZING hosts. I started communicating with Matt well in advance of our trip. He was quick to answer any questions I had. He went above and beyond when I asked about a griddle for the kitchen and even thought they didn't have one, he ordered one and had it there when we arrived. We decided last minute to use the e-bikes and he was gracious to come over and give us a quick tutorial and air up the tires. This was definitely a great trip and experience for our family. We loved the location and especially appreciated being outside of town yet just a short drive to Detroit Lakes. We would highly recommend this location and rental!

We are parents to three amazing children - one electrician, one student at Concordia College in Moorhead, and one high school student at Detroit Lakes High. We're dedicated to making your experience at our lake home a great one!

Our lake home is located on an area-favorite lake. Long lake is clean, conveniently located, and recreational. You won't have to search long to find sunfish, bass, crappie, and the occasional walleye, and if watersports is your thing, it's the perfect lake for skiing, surfing, tubing, jet-skiing, wakeboarding, and so on. You have a front-door to this playground.
Come in the Fall time to experience amazing fall colors and rejuvenating, crisp air.
Experience a Minnesota winter the RIGHT way. The property is connected to many hundreds of miles of snowmobiling trails, try your luck ice fishing right in our back "yard", or snuggle up to a cozy fire after a day of skiing or tubing at Detroit Mountain, or after cheering on your favorite hockey team!

Although our cabin is technically located in the city, the large, wooded lot gives you privacy and a feeling of being "away, at the lake". We fell in love with this property the first time we walked on to it.
