Welcome to Under the Southern Sky ā€” your private retreat in Broken Bow, OK, nestled on over 1.5 secluded acres among towering 80' pine trees. Though it feels worlds away, youā€™re just minutes from all the excitement Hochatown has to offer.

Built in 2022 and located at the edge of the stunning Ouachita National Forest, this cabin offers direct access to ATV and hiking trails right in the neighborhood. With 3 spacious king bedrooms, a cozy bunk room with 4 twin beds, and a pull-out sleeper sofa in the loft, Under the Southern Sky comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests (especially when traveling with kids).

Relax & Unwind Outdoors
Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks on one of three covered decksā€”offering over 1,100 square feet of outdoor living space. Whether you're gathered around the firepit, soaking in the 5-6 person hot tub, dining under the stars, or playing cornhole under the pines, thereā€™s room for everyone to spread out and relax. The oversized circular driveway provides plenty of parking for multiple vehicles, boats, or trailers.

Indoor Comfort & Entertainment
The main living area features a comfy seating area around a gas fireplace, an HDTV, and a fully stocked coffee and wine bar. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a spacious island, and everything you need for preparing meals. Dine indoors at the custom-built table for 10, with additional seating for 3 at the island.

Spacious Sleeping Arrangements

Downstairs: Two king suites with pillowtop mattresses, 1500-thread count sheets, and private ensuite bathrooms featuring walk-in tile showers, rain shower heads, and one with a soaking tub. A half bath and laundry closet are also on the main floor.

Upstairs: A third king bedroom, a bunk room with four twin beds (luxury linens throughout), and a loft with a sleeper sofa. Thereā€™s also a 14-foot shuffleboard table that doubles as a bowling game for family fun.

Under the Southern Sky is close to it all ā€” including the 259 Market, The Maze, Mountain Fork Brewery, the Cedar Creek Golf Course, and Beavers Bend State Park. The new Choctaw Landing Casino is just a quick 10-minute drive away.

Everything about our stay was 5-stars. The house was beautiful and well equipped. Our kids loved the hot tub and we all enjoyed relaxing on the multiple patios. The sā€™mores around the fire pit was a hit with everyone. Great location close to restaurants, shopping, and activities in Hochatown and just a 30 second drive on our SxSā€™s to get to the trails of the Ouachita National Forrest. Already looking forward to going back. Great hosts and wonderful cabin.

Dream Stay at Under The Southern Sky

Me and my friends do a yearly retreat at a cabin. This year was by far the best! This cabin had the best amenities and so much thought was put into the decor and set up! We really enjoyed the outdoor space the most! It was a wonderful stay!

Wonderful getaway!!!

Our stay at Under the Sky was spectacular! The property was exactly as pictured and the outdoor space had a lot of room, great furniture and surrounded by woods. We spent 90% of our time at the house on the patio. It was perfect! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property for its location and getting away from the crowds!!! Loved it!

Family time

Bring some food and never need to leave the cabin. The cabin was so much fun cornhole, shuffle board, Hottub, jenga, giant connect four. So much fun. Hey but the lakes close and stores even closer. I would tell anyone to stay here with your fam. P.S the swings and the fire pit are the best.

Spent Christmas at the Cabin

Our family stayed at this beautiful cabin over the Christmas holiday. We were greeted with a beautiful Christmas tree (was not expecting) and holiday lights! šŸŽ„The home had everything we needed and was decorated beautifully! Before our arrival we received a digital home manual that provided instructions for everything in the home, local activities, restaurants, etc. I referred to it several times during our stay! We had two couples that stayed in the master suites downstairs. Grandma slept upstairs in the king suite and the younger ones slept in the bunk room. Every room had its own beautiful bathroom and thereā€™s even a half bath downstairs. So much room to spread out and have your privacy when you need it. We cooked all meals at the house and had no issues. Everything you need is thereā€¦just bring the food and drinks. We even grilled fajitas on the outside gas grill. The patio is fabulous! ā¤ļø There are televisions in every room, including the upstairs game room. Our 8 year old brought his Xbox and had no trouble getting comfortable right away. It was cold during our visit and the hot tub was a hit! We had a fire two days in a row in the fire pit, made sā€™mores and sat under the lovely, tall pines. They really were magical! Steve was a fabulous host! He stayed in touch during our visit and answered all of our questions right away. We love this home! Canā€™t wait to come back in the summer. We want to bring our ATVs and enjoy the outdoors! Cheers from Texas!

Weā€™re Steve, Megan, and Elise. Nine years ago, we fell in love with the peace and natural beauty of the Ouachita National Forest and Beavers Bend State Park. From that moment, it became our dream to one day have a cabin hereā€”a place to slow down, make memories, and build family traditions with our daughter.

On our very first weekend in Hochatown, we even adopted our calico cat, Okie, from the local petting zoo and brought her home with us to DFW. That trip was just the beginning of our love for this area.

Now, that dream cabin has become a reality, and weā€™re so excited to share Under The Southern Sky with you. We hope it becomes a special part of your story, just like it has for ours.

Our guests love the convenience of unloading their ATVs and hitting the National Forest trails directly from the cabinā€”no need to haul them elsewhere! Under The Southern Sky is tucked away in a quieter, more secluded part of Hochatown, yet still just minutes from all the best local attractions. The spider swings are a hit with all ages, and thereā€™s always plenty of wildlife to spot around the property.
