Welcome to the Pension at the Klosterpforte Steingaden!

The "Camera della Principessa Nera" is a large cross vaulted room on the first floor of our house, suitable for 1-3 persons.

East side, morning sun, towards the Münster / Klosterhof.
Large, high, double vaulted hall, bright and friendly. Two windows over the garden of the pension. Heated in winter with a tiled stove. The room, with a stone floor in travertine, its wall decoration and its high quality furniture and indirect lighting, is said to add a splendor to the Cross - Sergeant Room, which takes into account the centuries of history of this room and yet offers all the necessary modern comforts to make your stay unforgettable Experience makes.

The "Camera della Pricipessa Nera" can be reached via a separate entrance, directly in the cloister gate and the foyer. The Camera is a generous, bright, double cross-vaulted hall, in historic, almost one meter thick sandstone walls that protect well in the winter from the cold and donate in the summer pleasant coolness.

It is located in the 1. Floor directly above the small private garden, directed towards the interior of the former monastery. From the window you have views of the old farm buildings, the courtyard and the cathedral.

The stylish bathroom, which you use together with the "Giordano Bruno", you will receive a basket with all the necessary, such as towels, soap, floor mats. Everything is of course changed daily if necessary.

Cooled drinks and glasses are available in the foyer for self-service.

We can serve you breakfast in the foyer or in your room and prepare it for a selection and your wishes.

The patron saint PRINCIPESSA NERA:

The black princess is a person of the present. A decade-long friendship connects us. She is a "real" princess and comes from a very old nobility. She was married to a prince of a formerly ruling house and in his lifetime even princess. She remained faithful to him until death divorced her many years ago, as she had promised. Since that time she is "only" a princess and wears black with greatness and dignity.
When the opportunity arose to buy the house at the convent gate and we were abandoned by all the banks - including those with whom we had business relations for over 30 years - the princess approached us and made possible in infinite generosity and boundless trust What else could not have happened.
She has us the honor to be the first guest in our newly built house at the monastery gate and honored us on Saturday the 15th. June 2019 with your visit, along with Entourage. According to your wishes, we honor them - without naming their name. The room in which she spent a night in this house was henceforth our black princess, our "Principessa Nera".
