Wonderful location

We were looking for a quiet spot. This was perfect. Enjoyed the birds that came the same time everyday to feed. Fishing was good. Caught lots of catfish. Great experience

This was a pleasant and comfortable home away from home. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The kitchen was the most well stocked with utensils and cooking items of any place we have stayed. We enjoyed the lanai when it was warm. Relaxing afternoons and evenings outside., House is a bit outside the city limits, we drove into Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte for walking, restaurants, and entertainment. There are many streets in the subdivision to walk and bike ride. We saw some river traffic and were visited by ibises in the back yard. The month went by all too quickly.

A few improvements could make a difference

The quality of the bed and the master bedroom is Poor. There were no linens in the master bathroom and the towels that were in the main bathroom had an odor. We washed towels and bought our own washcloths at the store. The house overall was clean and neat. The back outdoor patio had empty beer bottles left sitting on the patio. and the grass was deep to walk through to get to the dock. Also, our stay was less than two weeks after hurricane Milton and I contacted the host about the condition because we had seen flooding of Punta Gorda and his comment was the house is fine, just some water in the yard. Which was true however, he did not offer to reschedule to another time or a refund due to the fact that the entire downtown of Punta Gorda was flooded and restaurants and items in that area were still closed. Even the hospital was closed. The beaches were closed. So it was a disappointing visit to that area, which certainly could’ve been resolved if the host had offered an alternative. The back door lock was broken when we arrived and the host sent out a repair man to fix the lock which he did promptly and that was appreciated. With better linens, a better bed and a few other improvements the home itself would’ve been much better but the back patio area with beer bottles, a dirty ass tray and landscaping that was not properly cared for Could have been improved

We are sorry your stay was affected by the storm that had come through. We would have been happy to reschedule your visit if you had asked. We take great care to have all linens washed and home ready for all. Our Guests have been very pleased with the bedding etc.

Amazing Lanai for our Christmas Getaway!

My wife and I enjoyed the Beach Escape with our family! Right off the Peace River. Beautiful lanai with great views of sunrise, sunset and river. Great hosts, would definitely recommend staying!

viewing and sunset each evening on your own patio. Close to Punta Gorda airport and historic downtown Punta Gorda & beaches. Short drive to the gulf and beach. Comfortable main floor living.

No stairs with one level living. Peaceful neighborhood off the beaten path. Punta Gorda
