Serenity in Tahachapi

Absolutely stunning property!! We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay here. Wonderful views from the backyard. Hosts were so nice and made us feel so welcome. Great space for our doggo to run in the fenced of back yard. Would stay here again!!.

Mountain Paradise

Property is absolutely beautiful. Spacious, clean a great view of the beautiful town of Tehachapi. A quiet and solace getaway and at night you can see a million stars. A mountain retreat and a relaxing vacation. I highly recommend this home- away-from-home. The whole team was great and the Hostess was wonderful. The home was furnished with everything. Thank you 10 Star service.

Very well done

Every catagory...OUTSTANDINGLY EXCELLENT.I'm not sure if the Host arranged this but the weather was beautiful, sunny and warm for the two days many friends and family came to the Celebration of Life for my husband. We were able to continue the love, the hugs, the laughter and the tears at our VRBO.I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Absolutely relaxing place

Stayed for a family wedding and it was only 15 min from the venue which was a great location…(at first my mom was a little hesitant because it seemed a little far out of town but it really wasn’t!) so after 10 min here she loved it

Peaceful stay

Lorena’s home is very peaceful! Beautifully furnished, the beds were super comfortable, clean and our kids loved the game room! We are big bikers and the kids were able to ride their bikes around the neighborhood safely. The stars at night are so bright that we could spend hours staring up and seeing shooting stars! We would most certainly stay here again!

Close to town

Very peaceful and beautiful scenery. The house is so comfortable. We didn’t do any cooking. Short drive to town. The only thing that was not clear was the pet fee. Which I will pay after the fact.

Beautiful home and views

A very nice house with lots of space and nice furnishings. The PacMan machine was a hit with our teen. It's off the grid but close to town. Gravel roads are a bit rough but nothing our 2 wheel drive sedan had any problem with. It was quite windy while we were there but the beautiful hills and views were wonderful.

Very clean and comfortable home. 5 stars Lots of extras. Patio and garden room 3 stars. The yard was completely fenced and my dog enjoyed exploring. The property is located about 1/2 mile on gravel roads. Nice touch was AC turned on and water and beverages in refrigerator.

Stayed April-May '24

We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again. Hosts were accommodating and courteous. The house is complete and clean and the game room was fun for the expanded family. Just to note, washer and dryer are not available for general use, and there is no central AC. Not a problem during our stay at the end of April. 5+ by our standards.

Probably in the top 5 of homes we rented.

We were very impressed with this home. It was first of all..very clean! It was light and bright and had all the modern amenities we could ask for. Morning walks off the grid were so peaceful And the views serene. There is another house adjacent to this, but we had a private yard and patio and really felt like we were alone. Thank you to the host for all the thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome.

One of the best stays we have had

We use vacation homes often and this property was so well equipped and stocked that it felt like home. Some homes are so impersonal and unequipped that we have to buy items to make the stay functional. Not here! We had streaming TV, a retro table top arcade game, a garden room and lovely home decor. They even have a basket of toiletries for forgotten items and left us some drinks to welcome us. We were in town to visit family and will be traveling through this area in the next 2 months and hope to have this as our only place to stay. My family were so impressed that they are going to tell all their visitors about this off grid, relaxing gem of a home.

Our family of 4 (including dog)

We stayed on this property for 2 nights in Dec, and we really enjoyed the accommodations. The house was clean and well kept. It gets cold in the area in the winter, and the heater really helped keep comfortable indoors at night (our kid does not like to layer up or sleep with blankets). There was plenty of room for us (two adults, a 2 year old, and 35lbs dog). We did spend a little time moving some decor out of the toddler's reach, as the kiddo was curious. Lorena was very communicative and prompt in responding to questions. We'd stay here again. Thanks Lorena!

House was beautiful and equipped with everything you need. Host was accommodating with us arriving early. House was clean, scenic veiws and music on the t.v., fridge stocked with a few adult beverages. However, the reservation was booked through Travelocity and the listing stated there was air conditioning. House was extremely warm when we arrived. House is equipped with a swamp cooler but does not cool the house well in 100 plus temperatures. Family was NOT happy after spending a week in the mountains to spend another night in a hot room with little air movement. House did finally cool down around 3am. I had really high hopes for this location since we are expecting to bring our dog on the next trip but the AC issue is a deal breaker. Pros: Beautiful Home Secluded with the exception of the home next door. Close to town (about 10 min to our restaurant) Wife enjoyed sitting on the back porch for her morning coffee. Cons: Swamp Cooler is not adequate to cool the house in the summer. Should really be mentioned in the listing. House appeared clean but the floors were sticky. This may be a byproduct of the swamp cooler, I'm not sure. Tv: Internet connection was a little inadequate for streaming. Local TV would be nice but unavailable. (Not a big deal)

A fantastic property

A lovely home. So clean and beautiful. Clean linens, a well stocked kitchen, even drinks in the refrigerator. We appreciated our time here and enjoyed visiting family in the Bear Valley area. We hope to return!

Spectacular House

The house was like new, no detail left unattended. We enjoyed dinner and morning coffee out on the patio which had a beautiful view of mountains, gliders and sun rises. The host responded immediately to any request that we had. Hoping to go back in the future.

Welcome to my home! I have lived in Tehachapi for the past 10 years, and was born and raised in the High Desert, which is not too far from here. I graduated college from CSUN with a BA and multi subject teaching credential. I went on to grad school at WGU and earned two additional degrees...an MS in Educational Leadership and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction and finally finished off with a credential in Administration. My husband and I have been married for 20 years, and we have two teenagers. We are very involved in our community as local Realtors and volunteers. We love to spend time outside, host gatherings, go camping, travel, and just enjoy life.

I love peace and quiet and being able to come home from a long day's work to absolute quiet. We chose to build at this location because of the convenience of freeway commuting. We are minutes away from town and freeway access, 10 minutes from the wind farms, and only 15 minutes from Stallion and Bear Valley. We are the only home on the street, and that is how we like it.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We have the unique benefit of being so close to all of the Tehachapi amenities, but still be located in an area where there are no neighbors. No need to drive all of the way to Bear Valley or Stallion to get away from the hustle and bustle.
