The ****holiday apartment is situated at the edge of the beach of the historical town Rottweil (500 – 750 m) amidst the green, with view of the young Neckar, at the entry to the romantic Eschachtal valley, at the Neckar-afar-bicycle-path, close to spacious brine and adventure baths and near the cliff edge, the sunniest part of Germany. The domicile has a separate entry, a parking space at the court, a large, furnished sunbathing lawn. Home trainer, tanning bed, HiFi-system, cable-TV, radio, DVD-player, coffee and espresso machine, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave and a lot more are part of this 4-star-apartment’s standard.

Hiking and biking, excursions by car or train: Starting from the holiday house you can make hiking tours on narrow, winding paths or on comfortable trails into the romantic Eschachtal or at the young Neckar along the wild Schlichemklamm.
To the west nice hiking trails and bike paths lead into the Black Forrest, in the east the nearby Panorama-Trauf of the Schwäbische Alb elevates with its highest peaks.
Day trips: to Lake Constance and to the town of Schaffenhausen in Switzerland = 60 km, to the natural park “Young Donau” with its imposing rocks = 30 km, to the highest German waterfalls in Triberg = 35 km, to the “Ten One-thousands”, the highest mountains of the Schwäbisch Alb (1000 -1015 m) = 15 km, to the fort Hohenzollern and the biggest Schwäbische Alb stalactite cave = 30 – 50 km, to the largest German amusement park “Europapark Rust” = 70 km, to Straßburg and Colmar (France) = 90 km, to Schesaplana (2965 m) in Montafon and to the Säntis in the Swiss Alps = 190 km.

Solemar: Brine spa “The best sea has a roof” 11 pools with different intensity of brine and temperature, in- and outside (17 km).
Brine water is pleasant for rheumatism, respiratory disease and cardiovascular diseases.
Solemar also features a sauna area.
Storage lake Schömberg: swimming lake (17 km), Riedsee: Swimming and surfing (30 km). Lake Constance: with beach and thermal baths (60 km).



History and culture: Rottweil, a memorial town
Even during the occupancy of the Romans, about 2000 years ago, Rottweil, at that time called “Arae Flaviae” had town ordinances and privileges.
Later in the royal court was placed in the free city. Its sphere of control spread from Passau to Cologne.
Rottweil has kept its medieval town picture until today and is proud of its distinctive architecture.
In museums, archaeological excavations and at the picture of town 2000 years of history can be retraced.
Today three theatres, two open-air stages, several constant and changing art exhibitions, concerts, festivals and small stages tell about the cultural life of Rottweil. Tradition, celebrations, gourmet dining, pubs, cinema and clubs are part of it, too. Also the famous Rottweiler Narrensprung and the dog breed “Rottweiler”.
