Escape the city life and experience a back to basics lifestyle in beautiful and remote New Harmony, UT! We are a hobby farm working toward self sustained living and welcome you to join us in our adventure.

Halfway between St. George and Cedar City we are within an hour of numerous options for hiking and adventure such as Kolob Canyon, Snow Canyon, Zion National Park, Duck Creek Village and Brian Head Ski Resort. We are more than happy to share any information or experience we have with you!

After a fun day of adventure in our beautiful color country you can sit back and relax outside your front door while you enjoy the country ambiance with the sights and sounds of our animal family with the stunning Kolob Canyon as a backdrop. In the cooler months of winter you can snuggle up by the warmth from a fire in the wood burning stove and play one of the games or puzzles we have available or watch a movie on our Roku.

When weather permits you can book a complimentary farm experience and be a part of the action here on our little hobby farm! Weā€™ll send you a link to book a farm experience when you book our Cottage. Availability varies depending on the season. Contact us for more information.

Farm Experience
Brush a horse or pony, rub the tummy of a friendly pig, feed our social chickens, watch our mini dairy goats being milked or help us with pack goat training by joining us on a goat walk along one of the trails on our property. Then you are welcome to join us for some farm chore fun if you want!

THINGS TO KNOW:

This is a 1200 Sq Ft separate living space attached to our main house with exclusive access to a full kitchen and laundry room with full size washer and dryer. It is meticulously cleaned between each guest.

Off Grid - We do our best to do life "off=the-grid". You will get to experience what this off grid lifestyle is like.

Sleeping arrangements - This is a two bedroom cottage with two bathrooms. The master has a queen bed with its own bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin beds with another bathroom next to it. There is a folding bed in the second bedroom closet if you need to sleep a fifth person.

Location - We live on a picturesque, tree strewn property of 6 acres in beautiful New Harmony Utah with walking paths throughout. It is about 20-30 minutes to the closest town depending on which way you go.

Accessibility - This Cottage is wheelchair accessible with drive-up access, extra wide doors into the Master Suite, and a walk in double shower.

Connectivity Options - The Cottage is equipped with a strong and reliable WIFI internet connection and a small ROKU connected TV with streaming options. There is no cable or satellite TV available.

Heating/Cooling - Central heat and air conditioning with the added bonus of a wood burning stove.

Our animals sometimes make noise - While the country life is peaceful, farm life is not always quiet. Our livestock and animal family may disrupt a late sleeper or evening napper if the cottage windows are open since they can sometimes be vocal when they are waiting to be fed in the morning and evening. We try to minimize this as much as possible!

Please book a farm experience to enter animal pens - We love to share our animals, but we ask that you please wait to go into any pens until we are with you. Our animals are extremely friendly, but for safety purposes we need to be with you in the pens. You are welcome to look at them and pet them all you want from outside the fence!

Please do not feed the animals - Several of them are either on special diets or have sensitive tummies. Please help us keep them well!

Camera surveillance - We have several security cameras in use around the exterior of the house for everyone's safety.

No smoking, vaping or drug activity allowed on the property at any time. No parties!

Please note that we are an hour later than Las Vegas if you are coming from that direction.

You are welcome to arrive late in the evening if needed. However, it is best to arrive in the daylight if at all possible since it is much easier to find us in the daytime as there are no street lights and not too many signs.

We absolutely loved staying here! Our only regret was that this stay was the shorter leg of our trip. We're already talking about planning an extended trip to Zion and this will be our first choice for lodging if it is avaliable. Our hosts were awesome and our toddler loved walking around the farm and seeing the animals. The guest house was cozy and welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit!

We have stayed at this wonderful New Harmony property twice and it has quickly become a favorite getaway for our family. The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location is set in a beautiful, serene area. My daughter especially loves getting to meet the animals, which adds a special and memorable touch to our visits. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax the moment we walk through the door. We look forward to our next visit.

We loved that it was so close to Kolob Canyon for some awesome hikes. We would have never Known about them had we not stayed here. We were ok with driving to Hurricane for dining and shopping.

Dave and Cindy were wonderful hosts. They have a beautiful cottage on a beautiful property in a beautiful area. Our family of 4-2 young adult children- was able to spread out well. We were there for a short time but were able to drive to Bryce Canyons which we all loved. On the last day Dave recommended nearby Kolob Canyons. Fabulous!! We only wish we could have spent more time on the farm and in the area.

Owners were very friendly and flexible with our booking dates that we had to change at the last minute. The rental space was beautiful and had everything my family of four needed plus fun animals to enjoy in the evenings after our hikes.

The home was beautiful, plenty of room. It was nice to have an ensuite and an additional bedroom and bathroom. The animals were a treat to visit. Zion was incredible! David came to meet us, even though we arrived later than expected. I would recommend this host.

Amazing place! Cindy and Dave were wonderful hosts. The house was perfect for our family, view was lovely and the animals on the farm were the highlight. We got to feed baby goats, and visit the pigs, horses and chicks. Itā€™s about 45 minutes from the front entrance of Zion but the drive in is so pretty and we wouldnā€™t have wanted to miss the farm life! Canā€™t wait to plan another trip back. We miss it already!

Our stay near Zion National Park was absolutely perfect; Truly a magical experience from start to finish! The guest home was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed, offering everything we could possibly need for a relaxing getaway.What made this stay unforgettable were the wonderful animals onsite. There was nothing more therapeutic than sipping our morning coffee while watching the goats wander by, petting the gorgeous horses, or hearing the cheerful squeals of the piglets. It was peaceful, grounding, and unlike any other stay weā€™ve had.The location was ideal, just a short, scenic drive to Kolob Canyon, which was stunning. We left feeling refreshed and full of gratitude for such a special place. If we ever find ourselves back in this area, weā€™ll absolutely be staying here again. 5 stars all the way!

Amazing Atmosphere

We could not have picked a better place to stay while visiting Zion. Dave and Cindyā€™s family farm is picturesque, the location is ideal (two minutes from Kolob Canyon!), and the cottage is clean and well-stocked. My kids LOVED all the animalsā€¦ especially Paul the Peacock. Thank you for hosting us for this incredibly memorable spring break!

Great house!

We had an amazing time at Dave and Cindy's. Our boys (8 amd 10) loved feeding the horses and the farm experience. The house was spacious and the kitchen was nice and well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay!

The Farm

Wonderful Place!

Very, very clean, comfortable and spacious. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed visiting with the goats and horses. They were used to being around people and always came up to the fence to greet us. Great central location to Kolob Canyons, Cedar Breaks, Zion, and other great outdoor spots. I highly recommend this cottage.

We are a little hobby farm with big dreams. For years we lived in a very urban setting in California making the most of a small city residence with our big country attitude. Such antics as chickens running free in our backyard, planting food everywhere we could and cooking in a dutch oven on the front driveway made us stick out like a sore thumb. Even though we learned a lot, we longed for a place we could really ā€œput down rootsā€ and indulge in our dreams of a back to basics lifestyle.

Our journey started as a health journey. Real food and a focus on products from regenerative farming allowed us to win many health battles. As a result of these life lessons, Cindy became passionate about healthy living through heritage foods and a back to basics lifestyle. Her philosophy is based on the wisdom found in nature as well as the traditions of our ancestors according to accounts of explorers and the Bible.

We are so blessed to finally be where we can express our dreams! In 2020 we bought our very own piece of land in New Harmony Utah and plans for self sustainable living blossomed. We are excited about knowing where our food comes from and renewing the land through holistic management. We still have a lot to learn but embrace the opportunity to grow.

We are so excited to see it all come together with our own little slice of heaven providing us food sourced from our holistic management endeavors and sharing it with our community!
