Great place to Stay in Fairbanks

Property was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was extremely clean. Kitchen was well stocked as was the whole place. Beds were very comfortable. Loved that there were warm soft blankets to use while sitting on the comfortable living room furniture. Harold & Ida were friendly & welcoming. They were lovely to talk to & gave us many tips about things to do in Fairbanks. Outside area was well kept & a great place to hang out. A beautiful overall rental. I highly recommend.

Very Nice - Great Location

Enjoyed our stay. I was in Fairbanks visiting family for a few days and the unit had everything needed for a very comfortable stay. There was even a chocolate peanut butter pie waiting for us on our arrival! Lots of attention to detail to make our stay comfortable, warm, and inviting. I will definitely stay here again.

Most charming and lovely home

From the moment of our arrival we felt welcome and at home. Ida was a delight and had made a wonderful pie that was absolutely delicious. She was very kind and helpful. The home had everything that we needed and more. We are blessed to have had a chance to stay here and get to know the owners. We would definitely recommend this home and we hope to visit here again. An Excellent Place and Fantastic Host!

My friend and I stayed several nights at Ida and Harold's VRBO. We can't say enough about how enjoyable our visit was! It was a very clean, spacious space, with wonderfully comfortable beds. There was everything needed to make it a fabulous stay, plus more, like a homemade peanut butter chocolate pie in the freezer! Ida drove us to Creamer's Field one morning, and another day gave us a driving tour of Fairbanks. The bus stop was an easy walk, and buses are free for seniors! There is access to their laundry, and an outdoor space which is lovely. Will definitely return if we visit Fairbanks again. Highly recommend!

Perfect apartment and location

We loved this apartment. Super clean, comfy bed, great location close to friends and everything we needed to cook a meal. Well stocked with paper goods, coffee, tea, towels, etc, we did not want for anything. Ida even left us a homemade peanut butter/chocolate pie in the freezer! Harold and Ida were a joy to meet and kept an open-door policy. We will not hesitate to revisit this lovely apartment if they will have us back. Thank you, Ida & Harold, for a delightful stay.

A Most Excellent Week

We loved our stay at Harold and Ida's place in Fairbanks. The location was easy to access and near to the major warehouse stores for supplies. Access was easy and private. The house was quiet, lovely, and spacious. The amenities provided everything we needed and some extras we did not expect but were delighted to find. WiFi was a bit spotty but we were always able to connect one or more devices. This is a property we would definitely stay at again, and we have already recommended it to friends!

Just Like Home

I have stayed at many VRBOā€™s in the last 5 years, but none as Clean and well stocked as Haroldā€™s and Idaā€™s! There was even a Sharpie in the kitchen drawer! Everything was perfect! When staying in Fairbanks, this is the place you will want to lay your head down at night.

Home Away From Home

My husband, adult son and I stayed at Harold and Ida's home away from home. We were greeted by our hosts with a yummy pie which was a pleasant surprise after a long trip from the East. The outside deck and grill was handy for hanging out and cooking lunch/dinner and the yard is immaculate with lovely gardens all around which, as a gardener myself, thoroughly enjoyed. The property even had an office center with printer and all supplies needed for any work that needed to be done. Internet access was good as well. We are planning a trip back to Fairbanks in the near future and will be checking in with Ida and Harold for availability of their lovely home. Thank you for all you did to make our vacation amazing!

Excellent Stay

Harold and Ida are excellent hosts! I would give this stay a 10/10. Great communication between host and me. The property was immaculate! I have stayed at many properties, but this was the top one. Great location, near the airport. The property had all the amenities you would need. It was very clean and stocked with basic essentials. Our flight left late the day we checked out. Harold and Ida let us stay later than normal check out time. Ida made us a peanut butter pie that was AMAZING! I canā€™t give this place enough 5 stars!

Your host Harold is a BBQ Pitmaster and can be seen on Diner's, Drive's & Dive's with Guy Fieri, North Pole Christmas was the episode and is shown every year around Christmas time. He loves talking BBQ and Alaska. Wife Ida loves to cook and I'm sure will be offering lots of goodies for the taking. The good restaurants and local breweries to enjoy your evenings. We are more than happy to share what we know about the area. You spent a lot of money to get up here and we want your stay to be the best it can be.

The benefits to staying here is the location you are in. It's between downtown Fairbanks and all the shopping areas. There's a bus stop less than a quarter mile from the front door. We have two parking spots reserved for you in our private driveway. House comes with a beautiful, fenced backyard with a patio grill if you like to cook up some steaks or salmon. Enjoy the early evenings sitting by the outdoor fire ring sharing stories.
