This detached guest house boasts LVP floors, relaxing paint colors and lighting, a bright bathroom with tub and shower, and an inviting kitchen. It features a large bedroom with a king bed, TV with Roku, and a comfortable lounge chair that is perfect to sit back and enjoy a book in the abundant natural light!

In the living room you will find a queen sleeper sofa, a soft leather recliner and a 50in Smart TV w/ DVD player. Bring your own movies, or pick one from the selection in the TV cabinet. If you're not in the mood for TV, pull out a board or card game from the cabinet and gather around the coffee table to make some memories! There is also a toy cabinet with puzzles, stuffed animals and our favorite Dr. Seuss books!

The kitchen has pots, pans, dishes, basic spices, condiments, and other basic necessities to save some money at the restaurants and make your meals at home. Feel free to help yourself to the snack basket, and enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or cocoa from the Keurig. Creamer, sugar, Stevia and Splenda is also available. We also provide basic cooking essentials and condiments that you may use if you please. Consumables are complimentary and used at the guests discretion. Pleas e note there is no dishwasher in the unit.

The bathroom is complete with a tub/shower combo and a high shower head so those tall folks don't have to bend over! The commode is chair height and there is also a potty seat in the linen closet for the littles that might be tagging along. Taking a trip to the beach during your stay? Don't forget to grab beach towels from the cabinet before you leave!

Need to work while you are here? No worries, Madeline's Place has you covered with a modern faux marble top desk and rolling desk chair so you can easily connect to the high speed wireless internet and get to it!

For those that need it, there is a new washer and dryer inside the walk-in closet with detergent and dryer sheets.

There is also a sitting area outside under the carport. We want our guests to be able to enjoy the fresh coastal NC air even if it's raining! Grab a drink and prop your feet up and take some time to relax! There is also an electric grill under the patio. Take a short stroll to family friendly Shortway brewing for a drink and cornhole, Cox Family Ice Cream for an after dinner treat, or a cup of coffee and homemade pastry from Stable Grounds.

While the guesthouse will sleep 3, it is best suited for no more than 2 adults and a child. The pull out sofa may not be comfortable for adults. Please keep this in mind when making your booking.

Our pricing is based on 2 persons. This allows us to keep pricing down for those with smaller groups, with a very small and fair nightly charge for guests over 2 to help cover extra water usage, electric, linens, consumables, etc. Failure to properly enter and disclose the correct number of guests may result in an extra fee greater than that if disclosed upfront, or cancelation of your stay.

We highly suggest purchasing travel insurance, especially if booking for the months of May-October as this is peak hurricane season. We do not give refunds for weather related cancelations.

This is a residence, and just like any other or your own, while extremely rare, things out of the hosts control may happen like short and temporary power or internet outages, routine lawn or property maintenance, and since we are in the south and it's humid, despite routine treatment, you may see a bug or two.

We provide a generous amount of paper products and other consumables. Once these are gone, guests are responsible for purchasing any additional that they will need for their stay.

If you are bringing small children, we have a pack n play, stroller, toddler cot, baby bath, baby gate and high chair available. Just let us know ahead of time what you will need and we will make sure to put them in the unit for you!

If you are looking for more space, there is a separate, 3 bed/ 2 bath house located in front of the main house that is also rented as VRBO (Ann's Place). The house has it's own driveway in front of the main house since it is on a corner lot. There is a large carport separating the two that is used as a patio area.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a party house. If you are not willing or able to leave the guesthouse in the condition it was found, this is not the place for you. We work hard to keep our properties beautiful and clean. Damage and filth will not be tolerated. There is a motion activated audio/video Ring Camera under the carport for security purposes that does have the entry in view. Tampering or interfering with internet or security devices may results in immediate cancelation of your stay without refund.

ALSO, we are a pet free accommodation. As a courtesy to our other guests with allergies that book our home for it being pet free, we kindly ask on their behalf that if you need a furry friend to accompany you, please check out the many other pet friendly places in our area!
