The beach is just a 10-minute bike ride away. It's also a perfect location for excursions to Rostock and Warnemünde, or a tour on the nostalgic "Molli" seaside train to Bad Doberan and Heiligendamm. Incidentally, just outside of Bad Doberan, a summer toboggan run has been inviting visitors to thrilling descents for several years.
