You May See Deer Turkeys Or A Number Of Other Animals. You Can Pick Wild Blackberries In Season. You Can Sit On The Deck And Watch The Amish Farmers Work The Fields. Have A Cook-Out With The Gas Grill Then Sit Around A Campfire And Watch The Stars. If You Stay During The Winter Months You Can Use The Provided Sleds On The Hill Behind House, Or If You Have Skis Bring Them Along. We walked in the house and knew we'd love it!! I really love old things and this had it for sure. It was a great place to just stay and relax for the weekend! Took our pup a little extra time. She doesn't travel so much.

Looking at the home from the outside you would not expect the inside to be so updated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were in the area.

Had a wonderful time the days that we were here. Beautiful countryside. Loved all the room we had to roam around the property. We enjoyed the walking trails and so did my dogs. I would move here in a heart beat.

This was our second stay at Hill Country Haven. Itā€™s the perfect place for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, looking for a place where you can slow the pace, enjoy nature and the wonders of clean air and a star filled night sky. The view from the bedroom is awe-inspiring. The house has everything we might need and is impeccably clean. What more could you ask for.

We absolutely love this property. Clean, spacious, full kitchen, good A/C, and best of all...quiet! About 45 to 50 minutes from the Dells, so you can get there easily enough. Everything about the listing is accurate. 5 stars!

Amazing location with lots of charm

My SO and I stayed the weekend went biking and saw a concert at the nearby driftless music garden. We also had an excellent dinner at the Hillsboro brewery super close to all three. The house was immaculate and so cozy.

Peace and quiet

This was our second time at the property. We brought our dog and enjoyed the trails on the farm each day. It's quiet and peaceful - just what we needed! The location is close to hiking and kayaking too.

Breathtaking

I had so many plans for visiting the area until we pulled up to the property. I swear at that moment all plans were canceled as I was in awe of the view. All of the hustle and bustle of day to day melted away and life was simple in the best way possible. The house reminded me of my grandparents home which made it even better. You hear roosters, cows, birds, and if you are lucky to be there Sunday morning; the Amish community singing at their mass. You wonā€™t be able to make out what they are saying but it sounds joyful and peaceful. It reflects the serenity and awe the property provides. Our dog thought that we had the greatest back yard ever! He wasnā€™t to thrilled to leave either. You may need to drive a bit here or there, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful landscape even more.

Another great stay

We have stayed at Hill Country Haven multiple times and always have a great stay. The house is clean and comfortable and the outdoor space and views are peaceful and relaxing. Loren and Denise make check in and check out super easy. We look forward to returning again in the future!

Great rural getaway

Wonderful home with everything you would need for a getaway from the rat race. The house was very clean and well organized. It was nice being centrally located to the Sparta-Elroy and the 400 state bike trails. We enjoyed seeing the sheep and goats.

Driftless Dreams

What a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty and peacefulness of the Driftless Area. The home had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The bedroom views - particularly of the night sky - were remarkable. We were particularly pleased that we could bring our dog and he seemed to enjoy laying on the deck and observing the surroundings and walking the trails as much as we did. It was also great to stop by local farms to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables . We hope to return next year!

Disconnected Perfection

Beautiful cabin vibes and hillside views! We watched the local Amish tending the field and enjoyed a late night lightning storm. A great escape with board games and card games and laughter and great memories disconnected from the rest of the world. No cell service was my favorite part.
