"LAKE LIFE" without any sacrifices. Crystal clear water and a newly rebuilt cabin that places you just feet from the picturesque water and all the toys! Shielded from the wind, there is never a bad day on the west side of Lake Peavy. This private, low traffic lake with several bar and grills and a casino just a few miles away is highly rated for its positive community and safe waters. The sandy beach provides a great area for the little kids to play while being supervised by adults watching golf from the living room or around the fire pit. Snowmobile and ATV trails just down the road and a new wood stove that can heat an entire house in the winter. Black out curtains help the kids sleep in and adjustable ceiling fans to keep plenty of air moving when you need it.

Big water fishing expeditions are just 15 minutes away on a Lake Milacs and top rated golf at a number of resort courses nearby. Lake Peavy is a gem-PLEASE READ THR REVIEWS!

The property is very charming and inviting. It obviously is well cared for and suitable as a place to get away from day to day living. The neighborhood is comprised of many well cared for properties. We are anticipating a return visit!

This cabin on the lake was even better than we expected; the amenities are all well-planned and efficient; multiple outside seating areas; nice dock where fish jump on the hook; nice wading area for kids; kitchen had all the necessities; entire property was clean and well-maintained; host was very gracious and responsive to questions; will definitely consider booking again.

Wonderful family vacation

We had great family vacation with a few small kids. The property is on the water with lots of boats and activities for everyone to enjoy. Doug was very responsive and quickly communicated house info.

Perfect Place for a week long sleepover!

The 6 of us had a great time. We're two married couples who've been friends for decades. Plus one 13 yo old son + another 13 yo boy we brought along so our son could have someone to "hang with". On DAY 2 i realized i was paying for a weeklong sleepover. The boys slept in the Bunkhouse across the driveway. They only came to the main house for food & to use the facitlities. There are actually 2 sets of bunkbeds over there. It looked like at least one of them had a trundle, too. We've done UP NORTH vacations 4x in MN, WI, and MI. This place by far had the best lake access. It's right out side the sliding doora and pretty much a straight shot out . It was great for me and my rotten knees. The weather was crazy all week so we used the portable AC, extra blankets and the smaller interior bathroom as a tornado shelter. Doug was very attentive. The permanent neighbors were very friendly if we saw them out on the road. The kitchen was well stocked. The ceilings fans kept things cool, the lake was mostly quiet. We caught lots of pan fish and a few bass. Our only issue would be that there was no dining table. We didn't realize that from the pictures. We did use the picnic table outside but on rainy days we had no where comfortable to play a board game or work a puzzle. We did use the low table in the main room but it wasn't ideal. It's entirely our fault as we didn't notice there wasn't one. Despite that we had a great time! The boys across the yard was perfect, *****

Family Fun

Spent a week at this beautiful spot with 5 adult family members.What a fantastic time. Our host Doug answered any/all questions promptly. Everything was exactly as advertised (actually better).The home was perfect.The kitchen had everything needed & then some.The bunkhouse easily fit 6 people & was comfortable, with plenty of air and room darkening shades.The lake is so fun.Lots of pontoon time & lakeside campfires.

4th of July Up North Get Away

Northern MN is so beautiful and tranquil and this cabin was a perfect place to enjoy this! The owner Doug was wonderful to work with and he was spot on with communicating with us! The cabin and bunk house were very clean and provided us with everything that we needed!!! We had a great week of making awesome memories with our family and friends and celebrating July 4th!! Thanks Doug for everything!

Not much sand for swimming for little kids. Lake was great good fishing pontoon great beds good i want to go back again cabin was awesome just would like better chairs in living room.

Relaxing

Wonderful place to stay and house is very close to lake. Was able to fish from dock, have a late night fire and watch wildlife. Would definitely stay again.

Great stay

We were so happy with this property! They made the most of the space and it was great to have the bunk house for our teenage boys. The host thought of everything and the house was updated and very clean. He was very available for questions. We will be back!

Wonderful experience

The cabin was perfect, so very nice and filled with anything we might need. Doug was excellent to work with and made us feel very welcome. He was available to help with anything we needed. Our stay could not have been any better. We would highly recommend this cabin.

Perfect Getaway

We had a great getaway stay at this lake house. The place is exactly as advertised. You are only steps away from the water which is very peaceful and relaxing. We even took the paddleboards out for a quick spin. The booking and check in process were seamless and the host was always willing to assist with anything we needed. We really look forward to coming back for another peaceful weekend.

Great cabin

While the cabin is beautiful, spacious, really close to the water, there’s no wifi and the third bedroom is across the road, so our 9 year old couldn’t use it and had to sleep in the living room couch.

VERY NICE

We have stayed at VRBO properties for many years all over the country. This one goes into our "best of the best" file. Whereas, you can certainly find places with a bit more space in the same price range, you will not find anything remotely close to the high end finishes that set this home apart. Very well stocked with kitchen / bath supplies, etc. Sittng at the waters edge gives it a a scenic overlook that is amazing. Doug was a great communicator and responsive host. Thank you, Doug and family for sharing your beautiful lake place.

A lakeside gem in Central MN.

Great property. Wonderful lake views. 2 baths/2 beds in the house. Bunk house is behind the garage. Had an amazing guy's weekend. Has a fire pit, dock, outdoor furniture and plenty of room for our needs. Only 3m from Hillman so was easy to quick run to town to grab a couple things we forgot. (Great meat shop in Hillman BTW). Quiet and very peaceful. May look to rent this again for a family winter get away. Owner was great to work with. Awesome trip!!

What a gem

The property was exactly as advertised, even better in person. Close to the cities but yet beautiful lake country. The host was very kind and quick to communicate. We had all the amenities for a great and relaxing weekend. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Lake-Life cottage you will never want to leave!!!!!

The cabin is so cozy and well-appointed. Everything about this place is charming. The cottage style interior will wrap its arms around you the moment you walk in. The wonderful sights, sounds, and smells stimulate the senses. The view is stunning and you are literally feet from the water, which was calming and serene. Make sure you catch the sunrise…. You won’t want to miss it!!!!! We loved sitting out in the living room with the patio doors drawn and sipping on our morning coffee or evening cocktail. We loved the all inclusive layout, it was so fun to be making a meal and be able to visit and interact as a group the entire time. Make sure to take the paddle-boards out….the lake offers a beautiful shoreline to cruise around on. The lake is clear and this cabin provides a wonderful swimming area…we didn’t have kids with but if we did it would have been a great space for swimming and activity. At night you have the opportunity to cozy up to the fire pit and enjoy that lake life bonfire experience. The hosts are a dream to work with and had such great communication and cared that we had a wonderful stay. We will definitely be booking a stay here in the future!!!! Thank you!!!!!

The perfect lake experience!!

This place is amazing! So relaxing! The patio opens up right to the water. They have cute chairs and a swinging bench to sit on during the day or while having a fire at night. The owner is fantastic to work with! I have rented through VRBO often and Doug is by far the best person to work with. This is a new property and my husband and I were lucky enough to be the 1st to stay. They have a huge comfy tube you can tie up at the dock and lay in, plus other water toys that can be used. We will be coming back for sure! Stay here, you will not regret it!

I have lived in Minnesota since 2003 and have always loved "Lake Life" here. My frustration was that a good lake life felt like it needed to be a 3 hour drive to get anywhere that had the perfect setting we were looking for. Just 70 minutes from Maple Grove, its close to modern amenities and if you need to travel back to the Twin Cities to catch a kids sporting event, you can and it doesn't kill you to do so. It also means the cabin has more utility for quick getaways.

Lake Peavy is close and big enough to offer all water sports, but not so big that the lake attracts large amounts of tourism. The locals are friendly, and quiet. They love watching their loons, fishing and enjoying great camp fires in the evening. They appreciate the clean, deep water of this lake which makes it fun and desirable for kids and adults. Because of Lake Peavy's size and orientation, it seems less impacted by windy days that you experience on bigger bodies of water.

This house sits so close to the water that you can watch your family ride jet skis or pull behind a boat all from the living room, or while eating barbecue from an Adirondack chair. It has a sandy landing area that is shallow for kids and adults to wade and play in. It makes it easy to park jet skis and boats without fear of ruining and engine.

You and your guests are free to use our fishing poles and gear, kayaks and paddle boards,, and firewood, it is a turn key location and is ready to help you all make unforgettable memories.
